Psa not bad my first ar build was with an Anderson receiver and psa parts still works til this day been 11 years ago. Spent a lot on the optic can’t lie and barrel was the most expensive thing.

Chris, there are a lot of good options for optics ..I wouldn't spend $700 /$800 on any red/ green dot.. save the money and put it towards other parts. I've seen some romeo models that are priced a lot lower & they have nice looking sight windows.. just throwing my advice out there. PSA's are great and congrats on your Jakyl - excited to see you build this it out... it's gonna be 🔥
I would say it depends on the purpose for the rifle build but yeah there’s some good reliable options for under $600
Great option for a suppressor host with it being piston driven, less blow back in the face.

I love my Jackyl!! I changed the A2 out and put a SI Venom on it. I use the Holosun 512 for my red dot and but a folding tube so I can but an actual brace on mine.

Good choice. I have that model. SBR'd it, A3 Tactical PDW stock, and a primary arms 1x prism. It runs like a clock.

For my magpul grips, I use what's called a bolt/firing pin grip core. Put you a spare pin and bolt and it slides right into the grip. If I'm not using that, then I usually keep 2 CR123 batteries or 1 CR123 and a couple CR2032 bats. Depends on what I need and how far out and how long I plan to be out.
I like this thing... I have a BRN 180 Gen 2 in 10.5'' .223 wylde which is similar to this and I LOVE that thing Lol..
I'd highly recommend you get the Brownell .556 Shorty muzzle break for your Jakl.. lots of fun at the range with a short barrel AR.
Also makes it possible to fit by BRN 180 in a 17'' laptop backpack. I also got the Tactical Link PDW grip which to me is the best grip for a short AR.
PSA makes good range toys and their weapons are fun to build out/upgrade and don’t break the bank. PSA is growing fast, it’s the PSA takeover…lol!!😊

A pro of having a side charger with a lpvo is that u don't have to reach underneath your optic to chamber a round. And u can keep your eyes looking thru the scope

Hmmm, perhaps a MCX side folding stock would look nice on that, my scar and bren 2 stocks attach to the brass deflector so it would still be floppy (no homo)... but the stocks on my MCX Virtus and Spear LT stay folded with retention, so that would work.

I got the 300BLK Jakl upper for one of my pistol builds, but yea that ammo isn't cheap.
Definitely SBR. Surprised PSA is still shipping these with the older charging handle, get a knurled one.
I'm more of a Holosun guy for red dot, but that Romeo8t looks good and I think it'd match the lines of the Jakl pretty well.

Get a Griffin Armament M4SD-L to throw on the front. A2'S hide a good amount of flash, they arent the best but at 10.5 you are bound to have some flash unless you are using a can.

The “flash hider” is the mitigate the flash of the round out the barrel by baffling/dispersing the flash more efficiently. Without a flash hider it would be brighter and possible longer of a flash.
