  • Here's a detailed video on changing oil and fuel filters on Yanmar 3YM30AE diesel engine. I've performed this service several times on my Beneteau Oceanis 35 sailboat. Very easy to do. Give it a shot!

Appreciate you showing literally everything! So many tutorials just skip over steps which make it very hard to follow, but you really went through it all. Very good video, thank you!

I immediately thought that you were not professional enough because above all you are very nice and spontaneous. But after so many videos I’ve seen to figure out how to make my first service to my Yanmar I must recognize that your tutorial is the best, the most dictable and the most accurate. thank you very much.... nice, spontaneous and very professional

Suction is strong, open oil caps so that there would not be undue suction on the gaskets. Before removing the filter, Punch a small hole on the used oil filter to drain it to the oil pan, suction area and avoid drips when unscrewing the filter.

Thanks for your video. It was most useful. I have the identical Beneteau 35 set up. I found after I changed the smaller upper filter that it had a slight seep of fuel. On review I found there was a fine O ring up in the housing. I removed and replaced it with a new one (noting it had a bit of a tendency to slip off) and the problem was solved. I’m not sure if all the small filters have this O ring but other Yanmar 3my30 owners might want to be aware of it and to make sure it is correctly seated as the screw is tightened

I typically change the primary (fuel water separator) filter first then the small yanmar. Mine is elevated above the secondary unlike yours. Is there a proper order to change these filters?

Would have been good to see the engine running after all your hard work.

Any reason you are selling? You upgrading boats or getting out of sailing for a bit? Just curious...

Nice video, but you need to work on your Termanology!😂
