Visiting Iceland's Sky Lagoon (+ 24 hours in Reykjavik)

- Soaking in a geothermal lagoon is an essential experience when visiting Iceland. Iceland is full of all sorts of lagoons from free hidden spots in the highlands to more popular spa like lagoons like the one we're visiting today: Sky Lagoon. Sky Laggon is famous for its 7 step ritual experience which takes visitors from hot to cold a few times which provides relaxation and health benefits. After visiting Sky Lagoon we spent 24 hours in Reykjavik, Iceland's capital and largest city exploring its streets, shops, and food. Our time in this region of Iceland was so special and even for being Iceland's biggest city, Reykjavik felt more like a quaint small town than a bustling city which we loved. Oh man!! I can feel the calm through the video!! Nice job on another great video. This lagoon was totally a trip highlight for me. And, the hot dogs!!!
We found that going directly from the airport after an early morning arrival to Blue Lagoon was the best way to wait for our hotel room tom be ready! We definitely want to try Sky Lagoon next trip. Sky Lagoon's changing area was MUCH more private than Blue Lagoon in case anyone wondered about that.

I’m so glad y’all suggested we add Sky Lagoon to the last night of our group trip. Sky Lagoon was definitely my favorite of the three hot springs we visited (Secret Lagoon, Reykjadalur Thermal River, & Sky Lagoon), though they were each amazing in their own unique way.

I’m visiting next summer and only have two free days. Having a tough time deciding to the sky lagoon and the blue lagoon. This will probably be my only visit.

+1 for the Sigur Ros reference! Jonsi also makes limited edition music for the store, sold in Vinyl form! One of my favorite Iceland visits was to the nordur og nidur festival to see Sigur Ros (and others) at Harpa :)

We did the Blue Lagoon years ago and we loved it… it was in November so it wasn’t overly crowded. But now I wan to go back and do the sky one! Love all your travels and videos! Thanks for sharing

Icelandic hot dogs are made mainly of hormone-free, grass-fed Icelandic lamb, as well as beef and pork. Iceland's massive sheep population (there are more sheep on the island nation than humans) has long served as an Icelandic food source, so lamb hot dogs are a match made in heaven for Icelandic taste buds.
Ok what I meant to comment earlier is wow- this looks so relaxing. Y’all have got to check out a jimjilbang while in SK! You’ll have to check your modesty at the door, but totally worth the experience! If you make it to Busan, go to SpaLand. It’s insane! (And much of it can be explored in pajamas together before the baths.)

Uk is just a short, cheap flight from there. Just saying
