You've got 24 hours in Iceland. How do you spend it? If you take an overnight flight like us, you'll likely want a relaxing day. Only 20 minutes drive from the Keflavík Airport is the famous Blue Lagoon, where you can soak in its milky blue geothermal waters. It is said the silica, algae, and minerals in the warm lagoon has healing properties. Remember to book your spot in advance.
Afterwards we bite into Icelandic cuisine, drive about 45 minutes to Reykjavík, check into the capsule hostel, and enjoy some more Icelandic food.
The best way to get around Iceland is by renting a vehicle as it allows flexibility and public transportation is scarce in the countryside. There is no Uber or Lyft, so other options include taking the Flybus or taxi. A four-seater taxi ride from Keflavík International Airport to central Reykjavík is around $115 US (according to Iceland Mag). You can also use tour company services.

If you are watching this video because you want to go to Iceland, here is what I recommend:
- The blue lagoon is way more nicer at night, everything is misty and lit up!
- I would recommend to do the golden circle tour with an instructor on a coach because not only do you not have to drive, you also get told a lot of information about the sites you are seeing!
- When dining, ask what the waiters/waitress recommend so you can dive into the culture and it’s food.
-If going in winter, be prepared for LOTS of snow, I would bring thermal clothing also as it makes it easier to not freeze to death whilst touring and enjoying the experience!
-Don’t over sleep in the mornings, it’s hard to uncover the whole beauty of the country with limited time so don’t waste it!
- if you REALLY want to see the northern lights, you should go between mid January to late February so you have more of a chance seeing them!

@@aveaillium8754 I miss eating ramen noodles. My favorite was Shin Bowl. Back in high school, we used to eat them at retreats at midnight. Nowadays when I eat them at night, I can't sleep lol. Weird, right? Ramen acts like caffeine for me. Anybody else in the same boat?

@@MissMinaOh Yup, they are really tasty unless they are hospital-cafeteria food. I don't know why but my hospital serves some of the freshest yet blandest food you can ever lay your hands upon. No wonder, the patients try to sneak in McDonalds.
Ramyeon noodles are simply life(except it gives me pimples nowadays). Now that you mention it, I remember surviving on ramyeon in college during our final exams and we would never fall asleep. We used to sleep for 1-2 hours yet surge throughout the day. I am seriously going to solve this puzzle now?! It's so weird.😂😂😂😂

The only problem I have with public swimming pools is people pissing in em xD. Specially there no one wants to get out cause of the cold.
I know! When Mina was dunking her face in the water that's all that I could think of. People can piss and fart in the water, kids can poop.

Fun thing, they have an indoor pool that seems like a kiddiepool, before you go outside. If it is cold, use that one, and use the door directly from that indoor pool to the outside lagoon. Never leaving the warm water. Learned that the third trip to the lagoon 🤪 froze like heck the first many times I went out or in the building, because it was below freezing and strong wind. 🤣 their big shoppingmall with 3D cinema is also great.

Hi there. I am from Iceland and if you are thinking of going I really recommend it. I would not go to the most touristy places. I would also recommend you go to the blue lagoon but go early or late they are the least crowded and the most relaxing.👍
