2009 Rain Bird Sprinkler System Testing For 2024

- Generally, during the Winter, and Spring, I don't need the sprinkler system, as we get plenty of rain. However, once June arrives, the rain shuts off, and the temperature heats up. It's a great time to walk the zones to make sure everything is working properly, before an area dries out, due to a malfunction. Other than a soaker hose leaking, everything is working well.
Earlier in the year, I did replace a handful of heads I noticed were having issues, late last year.

I actually ran my sprinklers for a full cycle today, and the kind neighbor alerted me I might have a leak. Sure enough, the last head on the first zone was leaking real bad. Didn't take a look at it yet, may be cracked, may not be seated, may just be shot. But it can't be in service now. I'll either find something in the hoard or buy a new one, there may even be a video on it.
That's great they alerted you to the issue. At least it's not a broken pipe. Will be tubed to see your findings, should you make a video.
I haven't needed mine too much over the past several weeks. We've been getting slammed with plenty of rain lately. Now I need a break, so I can mow.
@@dynatrak Yep, I'll have to see what it is. It will probably be a mid-project video if anything. Bottom line is all the heads need replacement anyway. I wish they were vintage...
@@dynatrak Turns out, no video was necessary. The top cap of the sprinkler body was loose is all it was.
Got to love an easy repair, once in a while. Gives the old confidence antler a nice boost.
