- You asked me for a HowToBuild a Farm. So i will show you a "Simple" Farm.
-Water and Planting is Automated
-Modular Shape you can extent that in all directions.
-No Harvesting ( u can add that too just add a raw of chest more. )
-Fertelizing Not Needed.

this is a great system, i have a 300 plot farm running a 15 vacuum wide overhead with pistons and wheels, and its super reliable and is also easy to repair

It's quite good :), I kinda have the same setup on my farm.
1 improvement i would add would be to place the wheels horrizontally since the game is a litle bit buggy on the movement of wheels (with pistons on other blocks) and and it might skip crop areas.
P.S. I have a 50 (long) by 10 (wide) farm and that's why it's buggy for me.

Nice design but it’s a lot easier to just power the wheels with a controller instead of pushing it with so many pistons that way you can extend it as long as you want without using a lot of resources. Doesn’t require and fuel or electricity.

To anyone having problem with replicating this: pay atention on the direction that he connects the sensors and logic gates when you are using the Connect Tool. Mine was stopping at the first row, so i had to re-do the connection from the last 2 logic gates.
İ did how the video is shown but it still continue stopping

Great work, if I put a collector for finished plants I do the same with sensors?
kind of yes, but seperate it from each other. ( let them not Harvest and Plant at the same time, it will couse a bug that duplicated soils everytime )
Great build again =D. The wheels never stop turning though, will that cause lag?
i think not. but u can add a controler and if the machine is running let them spin 360° loop for example. then they stop if its off

Hello I'd like to ask a problem on my farm when i put the sensor and logic gate how you did in 16:30 first one plants but second sensor sees block and stops comes back
How can i fix this?
This solution is really simple and also very elegant. But you did connection too fast. And did not explain too much. I am new in this game and I really want to get that logic. But I can make it on my own, still thank you!

What are the steps to make the harvester row?
I used your junction connector from your mod and 1 elbow pipe with large container... so I can fill a huge container full of all the seeds I want and it will auto plant the entire farm on 10 separate vacuum pumps I set up. what this does for me... I only have to fill one chest now instead of one at a time 10 times..and no for some reason connecting the chests together like you say does not work.... I still have to put seed in each chest...

because with a controler u have a limit of 10 max links. and only 1 fixed speed.
with the sensor it extents slow ( piston after piston ) but retrects fast ( all at once )

I have not seen this trick on any youtube video, I figured it out myself.
If you jump from any "building height" onto a "building slope" like stairs or part of a broken building which has a slope you take 0 damage. Enjoy

You can add just the chest raw with vacuum pumps twice. One for Plant and one for Harvest. and just Choose with and switch and a And gate wich mode u want. harvest or plant. ^^
But i will make a other one too.

The only thing I dont like about this is the wheels. Damn bearings keep glitching and the whole rig belly flops all over the place. Had to build a "emergency brake" also, sometimes the pistons wig out right when I log in and they think the system is "on", my garden is in a 2 block pit so I have a simple lvl1 piston on a switch that blocks the off sensor. Keeps the pistons happy.
yeah, if there are some vehicles around that can make with this kind of farm problems. I hope we will get at some day a Fix for the Physic bugs.. =/
@@00FantMod I have also noticed that the pistons go bananas when the raid timer gets to zero. Something about spawning in raid mobs that these interactive parts don't like. Some day I am going to have to move my base just to clean up all the experiments I have laying around.

i ask cause for some reason the logic wouldnt work for me it just didnt move hooked it up exactly per the video and nothing... hook a controller press button and it works just fine... attach sensor to a piston system that lifts it up at the end and nothing fires on the way back...

@@00FantMod yeah logic blocks confuse the heck out of me... never seen em before this game or anything like them so 1 controller an AND gate and a XOR gate can accomplish the same thing roughly for 10 x 13 farm and probably more but that's as big as I personally need so... and I used only 2 sensors... I'll have to add a sensor when I add in the auto plant function... didn't have enough cannons chest or vacuums to finish it lol...
Please help: All of my worlds have very steep hills the hills are like walls is there a way to get a flat world? I must have restarted the game more than 50 times (no bragging)
uh thats a bad problem, i have that somethimes too.
But sry i found sofar nothing to change the world surface generation.

You seem to keep spawning in a steep hill area find water follow it around till the ground levels out the world is very big there is two mechanic shops one is on a hilly section of map the other is on flat land not far from water. Good luck.
How do you protect it against bots? Wouldn’t they destroy the whole contraption?
whats that. "How To build a Farm..." Or "How To Make A Defense" ...Sometimes i dont get how people think...
I don't see why this system couldn't be used with a higher platform that would keep the bots away from your controls. You'd still need to secure your base. Alternatively, building this underneath the overhang at the garage would allow you to build off the pillars there without fear of a raid destroying your supports.
i've got everything setup just like you did but the pistons aren't extending properly
that is the biggest sign that u did not everything like i did xd.. and no i dont know what you did wrong.
@@00FantMod i don't know where i messed up must have been going to fast or something but when the pistons did work they spazzed out so i redid it for the 3rd time and it is working fine still in ver 0.6.5

Its not working, after 1 planting row the system come back

why you using sensors not timers?
Sensors allow for more flexibility than timers. And besides, with timers, you have to get the timing pretty close to spot on or you'll waste water or other resources.
@@EJEvers but sensors super expensive it think it easier to make large chest and slap it on water container then making a bunch of sensors

Moin 00 Fant, mich würde interessieren, was du von meiner Bewässerungsanlage hälst. Meinen Ansatz hab ich bisher noch bei niemandem gesehen und die Anlage ist ohne zusätzliche Water Canons oder Pistons skalierbar. Und danke für dein Tutorial :)

simple solution... simpler... 3:03... remove 1 corner block that is not connected to piston or just drag it from piston to piston but place it one block short of the piston, place a single block on the next piston so its attached to the piston then just weld 2 blocks together lol you and your place a block delete a block let it drop weld it back... lmao...
