- Just as media day is wrapping up, Kevin Windham maps out a 110 feet double for his famous opening ceremonies jump. We were lucky enough to have the camera rolling for everything that took place. After multiple runs at the jump, he hucked it. The time preceding up to it had everyone holding their breath with fingers crossed, as it has to be one of the sketchiest slash biggest jump for opening ceremonies KDub has done.

You got that Right ! They are all worried standing on the track talking about K-Dub's Giant Massive Cods @0:17. The Motor and Suspension on the Factory Honda had to be fitted with Military Spec components and Cheater Top-End for him and his Cods. Windham was a Legend !

Kevin Windham is one of the smoothest most technical riders to ever grace a dirtbike. He's also the greatest ambassador the sport of MX & SX will ever know.

Windham had the most buttery smooth riding style. K-Dub & Mcgrath had the smoothest, sickest looking riding styles out of anyone in the '90's. They were definitely the 2 riders I tried to emulate when it came to my riding style. His seat bounce whips always stood out to me too, they just looked so much better than everyone elses. Def an MX/ SX legend!

Windham is a cool customer. I sat and had drinks with him at Denver Marriott bar in 2011. Just a bunch of guys drinking at a bar. The end of night I finally acknowledged who he was paid the bar bill.
Both team Honda rigs were in the parking lot.

Absolutely! I always loved Coop and Henry! Remember the Fox gear ads in the magazines that showed Henry taking off his jersey and showing that enormous scar that went from basically his stomach near his waist and then around his side and up his back? The caption said "whats stopping you?" if I remember correctly. Dude was/is a hero in my book for sure!!
Those transfer jumps were amazing. Big enough for the AMA and FAA to be concerned. Did you file a flight plan?

My all time favorite AMA racer, and I do miss the huge beard and hair. That was solid cool.
Kevin is one of my favorites, I miss seeing him at the race line. I would love to meet him one day.

I watched him in Orlando citrus bowl. He did a huge quad trying to beat Jeremy McGrath .Kevin landed into a turn. I actually felt the thud of the impact it echoed in stadium he was a beast. I don’t know how he hung on. He pegged the throttle. Turned left and blasted after McGrath Jeremy won but damn Kevin windham was awesome!!!
F--king UNREAL!!! Kevin Windham is super sick the kid at the beginning is like "no way man" & that to me is the best part cause K-dubs almost twice his age. just shows you how gifted he is.
Justin Bogle is the kid at the beginning and he is a beast and jumps most things first. So for him to be sketched out makes Kdub that much more amazing

It takes something that few people have and that is how to deal with fear and adrenaline every technique on riding a bike can be taught from jumping to turning the bike but you can't teach some one on how to deal with fear and the adrenaline that comes with it you either have that or you don't and if you have that you know it
You can hear them iron balls clanking together as hit that jump!

i have no idea what is it but i think kevin is one of the best rider there will ever be , he has alot of heart into and love this sport , to me hes the greastest rider there will ever be i never seen any one like him ride before , he pushes, takes challenges doesnt quit. i mean look at him he is 34 years old he almost beat ryan villopoto hes 26. hey windham i hope you recover dont go hurting your self trying to be a hero , your my hero and im sure you are to many others.

Factory or Semi-Factory Honda with a HYDRAULIC CLUTCH?? I guess Semi-Factory Honda is closer to reality and probably the reason he could have it and not be told NO WAY since it is not like the bikes we sell. Kinda cool & something that I had not picked up on watching & being a part of the MOTO WORLD for 50++ years. Learn something new everyday, sorta, at my age maybe every 2-3 days as I don't want to overload my grey matter by having to figure out where to store that new tid-bit of hot info!!!
