I thought it was rob dyrdek in the thumbnail😂
Same lmfaooo
Same here! I was O dammm, Rob must of started smoking crack.
Same!!! Lmfao I thought rob was in an old man costume again 😂
I came here to say the same exact thing.
@@stevekwiatkowski2535😂😂😂😂
It's so cool seeing just how proud Ricky is of how and what the place turned into. You can see just how much it still means to him.
my exact thought, that little proud grin at the end, like man this is cool.
@ 6:19 you can tell hes Reliving Soo many memories of him just being a Young kid trying to make a name for himself he's reminiscing of the countless Days and months that he practiced to perfect his racing style
Not many people get to see their legacy live on large while they are alive. It must be an incredible feeling and can imagine seeing this stirred up some emotions for Ricky. Truly amazing, what an absolute amazing experience and opportunity for young riders coming up.
A lot of people don’t realize just how small RC was back in the day and for him to ride a 2 stroke 250 to the edge is INSANE the amount of conditioning and strength he had to have. RC is great to watch race!
Yeah I heard he was like 5'3 or something.
His style worked for him low center of gravity
Don’t forget a factory 450; that’s a lot of bike and he had no problem.
LOL jeff ward smaller and rode 125 25 and 500 2 stroke to the edge, size matters little, skill matters more. Actually on a bike lighter is better if you have skills.
Ricky.. much respect you completely rewrote the history and the future of the sport of AMA Moto and supercross. You brought the sport to a whole new level of preparation and competition. The hardest working rider I had ever seen, you set your sights on McGrath when you were still on that procircuit kx125, you ran him down and took the crown.
Took it and never lost it, retired on top and could have done more.
you young guys never saw the true greats. Jeff ward Darryl Hannah etc etc many before ricky were great. Ricky was good very good but goat NOT in his own dreams. he beat up on lesser guys for most yrs
So awesome you can tell Ricky is proud. Also props to star to becoming the new pro circuit type team
With out ap star wouldn't of became a pro team without the people's champion, they would still be a no name team.
Always wanted to ride there. I love how the Rusty #4 Watertruck NEVER has been discarded.
I could listen to RC all day long…what an incredible rider and person
My two sons and I absolutely loved watching you race Ricky. We loved you most in green.😂 We watched you battle in St. Louis for 7 straight years and were always glued to the TV whenever Motorcross or Supercross was on. You were the man!! Congratulations man!! You earned all of your success the good old fashioned way.
The sport has evolved , but this shows you where it all starts . A devoted Dad, a kid with a hunger . It’s there for the taking , you just have to want it .
The fact they have kept everything there, that's awesome. I can't fathom what it's like for him to stand there and think back on having lived what he has lived.
Ricky and Rob Dydrek are long lost brothers.
Amazing, Ricky didn’t have or need a million dollar top secret workshop with everything to become the GOAT 🇺🇸
For his practice bikes... His race bikes were still all factory and made just like this
@@jblob5764 YOUR AN IDIOT, AND COMPLETELY MISSED THE POINT.
Yep. Exactly. He didn't get to escape to AC in between motos, and locker rooms, all that crap. Alot of young guys are coddled and soft
@@rediron44 Another example would be Shaun White. The most coddled snowboarder of all time
Ridiculousness made him age alot
Very cool to see the original shop Ricky had! Thanks for sharing !!
Carmichael and McGrath the kings of racing!!
I used to live next to him growing up! It was pretty cool to ride by his track and seeing them practicing!
I love the original shop n Farm imo it’s got soo much character and history that the new will never have 👍
The new shop just looks so dead, no personality at all going on in there
I met Ricky in the UK at Motocross of nations many years ago, such a Top Guy has plenty of time for anyone. Love u man!!!... Btw, Ricky's old workshop should be preserved as a museum. One I'd definitely like to visit some day.. thanks for sharing Ricky look after yourself my man 🙏👍🤙
Wow, that place is huge. It's amazing to see how far the industry has come in just 20 years.
Yeah! but not for the better if your a Privateer!
@@purebloodheretic4682 It changed so much in the last 20 years that I don't even watch motocross anymore. I still own my 2 stroke though.
@@Bigtymer781 Legend!! 👍
Man rob Dyrdek got old
@@notveryobviousguy4373 Ricky Carmichael is 43 and Rob Dyrdek is 48.
Thanks ricky . I really enjoyed that . Life is a gift. Memories are treasure
Very special. Thank you NBC for filming this
Ricky CARMICHAEL the greatest of all time! Thanks for sharing.
I met Ricky about 20 years ago in Madison FL. He was traveling through. Not being a chump but asked him for his autograph. Nice guy glady gave it to me. At the time I was a weekend warrior KX 500. Had various bikes throughout the years. Anyway my longtime mechanic who raced in the seventies sponsored etc was dumbfounded when I said I have something for you. Handed it to him and he held it like the holy grail. At 51 I don't ride anymore but hearing seeing smelling a 2 stroker brings back memories
Man
I remember Ricky and Stewart when they were just kids on Little 80s at the race of champions, in Englishtown, New Jersey. They were tearing it up. Clearing the entire elevator jump, I watched Ricky growing up.
Seems like yesterday
6 years between RC and Stewart though so not quite the same generation.
That was a really cool personal look at some of the original Goat Farm areas during your career Ricky, I believe Star Racing Yamaha's move to Florida only escalated the value and as well as building a first classic facility to assist in winning Championships 💪🏝🌊🏆🏁
I’m 50 this year and for me RC was the most dominant, focused, driven and professional motocross rider I’ve ever seen to date. RC is the 🐐
Jsw
I agree
Wow this was so awesome. i am glad they are trying to keep everything similar to how RC learned.
Love Star Racing Yamaha and Ricky Carmichael. What a great video. Too cool!
I did a lock out for him back in the early 2000s, auto club call in anaheim hills , 34 dollar tip and he signed his riding trunks for me , awesome guy, and an awesome autograph! Thank RC, I still have them btw!
Dude that’s awesome
@@JonnyJetson754 Yeah it was a surprise, I didn't realize it till I pulled in the driveway that it was him!!!!
Love this video and the Carmichael family history!
It's so cool that a place like this was able to be saved. Sometimes really specialized properties can't find buyers and fall into disrepair.
Very cool thanks to everyone who took the time to make this video.
RC is and will always be the man! So humble I got to meet him once he didn't disappoint!
pure awesomeness
RICKY CARMICHAEL IS THE GOAT. HE ALSO HAS PUT FORTH MORE THANANY OTHER MOTOCROSS RIDER IN THE WORLD IN HELPING WITH THE SPORT. HE IS AS NICE A GUY AS ANYONE ON THIS PLANET. AND WILL HELP ANYONE THAT HAS HEART AND MEANS IN THE SPORT OF RACING MOTOCROSS BIKES
One of my favorite riders of all time. Not a big crasher. Good guy too
Bro in the thumbnail i thought it was Rob Dyrdek in a prosthetic lmao
Looking at the thumbnail, I was like, "Wow, Rob Dyrdek looking old these days!" 😂
Good memories, dad , best to you and your family Ricky
This is cool. Took me down memory lane too. I havent been into supercross past 10 is years
That is a very cool vid. Ricky did more with less,..which is truly amazing. But what a great show of commitment by Yamaha and its riders and staff to bring the sport to another level.
Man the sport has really aged Ricky! Wow! Dude looks in his late 50's. Not trying to be offensive, but Holy Shitto! Great video! GOAT, Moto and Supercross Champion.
What, u thought pro mx racing was easy? It will beat you up, only the best suceed
Ricky was the king on a bike him and James would battle I love watching those too!🏁
Your parents completely supported you. Starting MX is tough. Your Mom and Dad gave up so much for you. Greatest rider ever.
“We had no air-conditioning in this place, by the way. We wanted to be in the elements.” That harkens back to when Bob Hannah suffered heat stroke at the New Orleans national in 1975. After that he swore off air-conditioning of any kind. No wonder Hannah and Carmichael were so dominant.
Also Hannah (and friends) trained in the desert.
It was so nice to meet him when I was in La area. humble guy but go big get er done kinda guy..I love the vibe….
absolutely awesome. team yamaha keeping the past in tribute to the goat
AMAZING content !! well done to all involved, and of course, We love us some GOAT !
That was a awesome video 👍talking about the roots of the sport RC is the king.
Ricky made an excellent life for himself simply doing what he loves to do. hardcore. gotta stay grounded. impressive man. so cool.
Ricky looks like he could still put the Pads on and go at it I’m sure he could still ride I always love seeing Supercross come to town I live in Michigan and it was the highlight of my life every year when they race at the Silverdome in Pontiac and then now at Ford field
This was an awesome inside look at Graceland!!!!
I was like, wow rob aged fast.. 😅🐐
Amazing facility - Star riders are way too pampered !
Pretty convinced this is Rob Dyrdek in costume lol 😂
Man I looked up to this guy like no other!
Dad's old toolbox, I can hear it now Ricky where's my 10mm socket ?
Hallowed ground. Special video 👌
This takes me back to high school seeing his posters with that old water truck
Why does the thumbnail look like Rob Dyrdek in 20 years 😂
Still number one Ricky.Ctoss
We are lucky to have Ricky. Take notes.
I thought this was Rob Dyrdek in the thumbnail.
That place looks epic, dirt always looked phenomenal
The old shop still my dream shop lol
When I saw the thumbnail I was like “Wtf happened to Rob Dyrdek”
That was really cool!
Totally blown away that was so sick love the start this is how it was then let's go have a look how it is now then boooom🔥🔥🔥👌
Ricky will always be the best rider to ever live
N1 sei sempre nel mio 💗
NBC. The valid reason to get youtube premium.
Good job Ricky big big fan bro rock on I remember you taking a rip on the quad zilla
Absolute legend
Wow. The Farm is a lot different than the last time I was there. (About 22 years ago)
Best of luck guys!
RC is such a down to earth person. You can tell, he was brought up right, and has excellence running through his veins!
thats rob dyrdek bro
Seriously awesome
Cool stuff thanks nbc fasho
Lots of good memories there champ🍻
That was awesome.
Gotta say i don't really like the new building, it's like a factory! So light and streamlined, the riders' showers gave me the impression the riders are born on a conveyer belt :p
Love the old cabin, that's a place with heart :)
It's a blessing Ricky ya got both ya parents still. I lost my mom a few months back and it's gutted me. Don't take em for granted bo , they're amazing people .
Beautiful!
Thought this was Rob Dyrdek for a second on the thumb nail 😅
Very cool!
It’s awesome to say i got to train there when it was still Ricky’s!
2:27 Wow !
Imma tell my kids this was Rob Dydeks dad
I see RC here in tally…..he’s always riding his training bicycle, it never fails that smiles and waves…….believe it or not…….there’s bigger things waiting for RC.
GRASMO
They gotta expand that place another motocross and super cross track. Keep the legacy of the Goat farm going how RC left it. We wanna know more about the grave yard that's going on back in the woods
Such a shame
That polished cement workshop floor..😮
Greatest to ever do it
I'll take the old workshop over the new one any day of the week. Great nostalgia.
Nice job Ricky!
Blue front fender ❤
Was the water truck at Steele City and High Point ?
Ricky is how Rob Dyrdek will look like 10 years later
What a class act 😮🤠🙏🤟
I watched RC rip on 60''s in Croom Brooksville Fl.
Thought the thumbnail was Rob Dyrdek with an old man face filter on.
Looking good Ricky!
