    What a cool set up! Very impressive! I ran an oil refinery. We made propane. It's deadly, be sure if doesn't get loose inside your vehicle. It doesn't take much to ruin your day!

    Nice to see you also use a table in the back. I use a repurposed dawn dishsoap 1 gallon jug that has a pump then locks down counter clock wise. Then i use solar string lights and solar lights that spike in the ground for outside lights. I also have a cigarette lighter powerstrip. I didnt know if a bigger power box like yours would give enough power from the cigarette lighter in the back. Thats good to know. I also use my carry on travel bag for clothes and pack other stuff up top with a rain proof cover that i got free and tie it down with straps. Thanks for the video happy camping

      Thank you so much my friend yes my original setup was a blow up mattress that covered the whole back but then when I added the refrigerator because I was going to travel across America the refrigerator and power bank it was best to set it up on that side and then sleep on the other side it can get a little cramped if you roll around a lot LOL

    I was impressed when I saw your setup in June. Everything is set up in a perfect place and no space is wasted.
    One thing I should suggest is that you might want to unhook the propane tank from that burner just in case the tap gets bumped on and propane leaks out into the car. That and maybe try not to sleep on the cutting board. I bet that doesn't feel that well under the bed😂
    Have a good one and I will chat with ya soon👋

    Awesome video! We’ve got very similar set ups! I was looking for a table that is about 20x40 to go under my exped mattress. I stow my WeatherTech screen set under my mattress- so they all lay flat. I also pull the rear headrests out and put back in reverse so they angle toward the ceiling for more mattress support. Do you have link to electric kettle and table? I just went with a yeti roadie cooler stowed behind the passenger seat but may invest in a fridge. I actually went with two cargo boxes on top (Thule sport force)… which provides a lot of extra space. Do you put your hatch window cover on when sleeping? Again, kudos to your channel and happy 2024.

    Hi Tony, new subscriber there 🙋🏻‍♀️ loved your video! I’ve been considering getting a Suburu Outback to go camping and found your video really helpful! Question, I noticed you had a Z-Lite pad (the bumpy one) underneith your blow up mattress. I just got myself a similar blow up mattress, do you feel the Z Lite pad makes a difference? Or do you think I can get away with just the blow up mattress?

    • @randomadventures2.0
      @randomadventures2.0  Před 9 měsíci +3

      That's one of the thing I forgot to mention I used a hack that a guy out in Quartzsite Arizona showed me. And I wanted to show that on this video but forgot I have it on other videos but you push the latch on the back door hatch until it activates it will lock and the lights go out and it can stay open all the time to get it closed again pull manually the trunk lid down and then push the button to make it go up and that will unlatch it then it works like normal once it goes up to close it just push the button and it will go down

      Thank you very much believe it or not I did not show it but I do have a collapsible emergency porta potty and uses plastic bags that didn't turn into the collapsible party. I have used it on my trip across America especially if I was late night and had to use or go to the restroom and there was no open gas station or place that I can use. However if I'm not in an urban situation correct to go home LOL

    Hey Tony, new to your channel and love it. I just recently got a 2020 Subaru Outback Onyx XT and want to kit it out for car camping. Thank you for sharing your setup with us. One thing I was curious about: I see the luggage box up top, but you didn't seem to cover storing anything in it. It seems like a lot of the stuff you keep inside could be stored up there. Do you use that box? If so, what for? Thanks!

    • @randomadventures2.0
      @randomadventures2.0  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Awesome my friend the cargo box actually doesn't have much in it I put that on when I headed across the United States to take along a little bit of extra year but since then I found most of the stuff that I would use is in the car now so I really only have some MREs a heated jacket and ax in a few other small items that I have decided that I'm probably going to take the car carrier off. You do get better gas mileage with it off and plus when I car can it's even less obvious

    • @randomadventures2.0
      @randomadventures2.0  Před 5 měsíci

      Yeah that could definitely be a problem but I do a hack for the hatchback and what it is I've shown it in a several of my camping videos but if you take when the patches all the way open and take your finger and close the latch it will automatically go closed and then that tells the car that your hatch is locked. Then in the morning or whenever you want to close it you just pull the hatch closed and then push the button to open it back up it will not go completely closed just lower it about a foot and a half to 2 ft and then push the button to have it reopened and you'll hear the lock disengage and then once it's up there hit the button again then it closes like normal works perfect
