Been listening to Steve Isdahl for at least 3 years now... finally ready to dive into these things to try to put this puzzle together and come to find out this ABSOLUTE GEM of a man existed and I MISSED him! So sad. But so thankful for you and people like you who share these talks with us. Thankful for his podcast and all his interviews, and his books. It answers so many questions in a coherent way.
I was the same, I literally found him days after he passed! So odd, but I was really getting mixed up during That time, he literally probably saved me. Laugh if u want, but I had a shadow person encounter with my fiancé, I didn’t know what to make of it amd started looking any and every where, I owe him a lot, so many won’t even touch those things, it’s not like I went ghost hunting, or joined a ufo cult, I was just sleeping! Couldn’t relax for a decade,
@@PhillyHardy my small children saw a shadow person in our house. Twin boys two years old. We took it absolutely serious and covered the home in prayer. After several years we then moved out for 15 years… renting the house out. I came back in to renovate and something was scratching from inside the closet door about six feet up in the middle of the door in the room when I was going to sleep. I ordered it gone in the authority of Jesus and, without fear, slept peacefully. I believe it was a spirit of discord. While renovating I found many holes busted in walls and doors. There were things moved around and hidden then sitting in the open weeks later. We need to know what we are up against and how to use our weapons if we are to be effective in battle.

I appreciate so much finding these older teachings of Dr. Heiser's. I followed him and knew of his latest info like his books and the Naked Bible podcast, but the teachings like these are like pure gold because he always explains so clearly and I feel gives THE CORRECT MEANING OF WHAT THE BIBLE IS REALLY SAYING. Giving the definition of the words in other languages and how they are to be used in a sentence makes all the difference in the world. This Dr. Heiser is a lot more 🔥 feisty and outspoken than in his older years. He got more mellowed out later in life. Prayers and best wishes for his wife and children. 😢 I will miss your teachings 🙏🙏🙏❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹

interesting question at the one hour 56 minute mark. People presume the Bible states that Genesis must state everything that’s real because it’s the seed plot for the whole Bible. The assumption is somewhat misguided. Because Genesis is a plot for the Bible and for the covenants of God man, and beyond that it wasn’t meant to be a discourse on, it wasn’t meant to be a discourse on science or anything else for that matter.
The idea of being that if you have a doctor and you can’t trace its origins back to genesis it’s false. Plain and simple.
The Bible specifies outlines and gives the reason for the covenants God has made with man and why God would even consider making covenants to mankind.
Typo "doctor" should be "doctrine".

While I agree with Heiser that we are intellectually superior to apes therefore it doesn’t logically follow that we created apes. And Nephilim does not mean "fallen ones", because the grammar doesn't work out. The root word is Aramaic.
Maybe the correlations Heiser looked for were not due to God using symbology from the contemporaneous culture, but were manifestations of demonic counterfeiting of what God has said and done.

Dr Heiser was a genius on Genesis 6 but simply couldn't qgree with the scripture on its flat earth claim. I'm sure he can see the firmament from up tthere now he is at peace.

Not convinced the book of Enoch was written after the Old Testament
There's zero indication that it was written prior to a few centuries BC. Also, the OT lists 33 so-called "lost books" but not any of the Enoch ones. 1 Enoch is Bible contradicting folklore from centuries, if not millennia, after the Torah, see my book, “In Consideration of the Book(s) of Enoch.”
I’ve always thought Azazel WAS Satan. The serpent, the red dragon. The devil. I just always came to the conclusion that that was his real name (Lucifer is just another title). There are too many links to ignore. To HIM-Azazel-is ascribed ALL sin. Which, is the very thing Satan/the serpent is known for. It was he who first corrupted man because he himself was the first corrupted being in existence.

Like Dr. Heiser said: A book does not have to be in the Bible to be important. Again, 1 Enoch is DIRECTLY QUOTED FROM in the New Testament. That cannot be disputed. It is fact.
