This trailer doesn’t give me the usual... trailer scare, but after watching it, I felt this intense feeling, and I wanna see the movie now more than ever.

Im looking at you Rob zombie, and your parkinson camera man too... I hope this new entry bring back the series to their roots and focus More in mistery and subtle scares.

Just to make things clear for some of the people that are confused. Laurie Strode is still alive because this takes place after the 1978 movie. It's a direct sequel to the original. None of the other movies matter here. They're making it that the original film had a different ending and Michael was captured that night, 40 years ago and has been in prison ever since. He is no longer Laurie's brother. That storyline started in Halloween II (1981). Also the OG actor that played 'The Shape' Nick Castle appears in only one scene. It's the window scene when Laurie first sees him.

The scary thing about this trailer is that it shows that this time Michael doesn't need a reason to kill anyone. And before any of you start, I've seen all of the films, and if you know your history you know how horrible they are and that's why I made my point here.

Ever since Halloween (2018) came out, slasher movies have really been revitalised, and ironically seem to be copying how Halloween (2018) used the same title as it's original, Candyman did it, scream is doing it and now Texas chainsaw massacre is doing it, honestly I think we owe it to Halloween (2018) for bringing the genre back and should respect that film a lot more now.

Well... I would say that even if it did, it wouldn't technically be the one to originate this new wave of slashers, it would be Scre4m. That was the first one to say, "Fuck the hip 90's reboots, Fuck the edgy 2000's reboots, we just want it like the golden age of slashers." It was then followed by Curse and Cult of Chucky, and one or two Blumhouse flicks that I haven't seen, but definitely exists

This movie was fantastic, worth every penny. Having said that, the only thing I wish it hadn't done was erase the brother and sister story set up in Halloween II. I love Halloween II and this movie has now retconned it. Frankly, it didn't seem necessary to erase that. This movie could have easily been a sequel to Halloween II.
Is it me or does the part where Michael goes into the old lady's house to grab her knife kind of reminds you of the scene in Halloween 2 when Michael went into the old couples house to grab a knife (also both those ladies were making Ham sandwiches)

The 1978 original is, and always will be, one of the best horror movies ever made. No over the top blood and gore. I grew up on Halloween, coming out on my 8th birthday. It literally scared the shit out of me for years decades and that of my entire generation. Back then you could be left at home alone at night without your parents or a baby sitter and it was totally legal, creepy doors, shutters, storms, backyards, garages, real Halloween nights with getting apples being laced with razor blades, howling winds, real serial killers every night on the news, real killings, real kids living this, so Halloween is a truly special film series that speaks to an entire Generation of audiences, shaping them. Terrifying them, giving them nightmares and memories forever and wherever. There was nothing but horror film after horror film from the late 70's thru the 80's because of this movie. It had a huge effect on millions of kids and I think it shaped an entire generation unlike the Millennials of today who had none of that and are so f'd up today. This was a great movie, great filmmaking, great acting, great horror scenes. Go see it. I know millions of Gen X'rs will for sure!!! Can't wait to see it again. Definitely had a hard time sleeping afterwards, the images and violence is so incredibly real and I've worked with and cut up dead bodies in autopsies and surgeries and seen and worked with tons of blood, brains, and guts and real fucking real scary real viciously violent evil psychos in real life. Every scene is very authentic, creepy AF and simply awesome all around. Can't wait for the sequel. Just gets better and better. Turned my interest in all the old horror films that I avoided because this one in 1978 scared me shitless, turned it on wide open. All the classic Horror films are great and this series is the best! This movie is more about the generational trauma that haunts victims. People who don't understand that and are quite immature are the ones who didn't like it. It's great. It's real and it's scary and it's fulfilling for anyone who has lived a full life, especially well-developed women. The losers who didn't like it wouldn't know a good movie if they saw one and are big infantile boys still wearing diapers and thumb-sucking. You want to know what's scary? Talk to trauma victims. Talk to gunners from OEF/OIF who are haunted by the ghosts of the Iraqi's they killed. Talk to Vietnam Vets who were mole rats and who can kill you with their bare hands. Talk to psychos who you can see nothing but pure menacing coldness and evil in their eyes. The way they move and stab you. This movie is all that and is fucking real, fucking poignant and simply the best, full circle. Wait til you live some of these scenes in real life and you will know what disturbing and scary is. This movie won't get your adrenaline flowing externally but will disturb you internally. It's like a rounded out, smoothed out, shaved down Halloween targeting much bigger audiences. It's the haunting imagery afterwards that gets you WHEN you LEAVE the theater. Great movie! Go see it. The theater was fully packed and that has happened in three decades.

He doesn't need to kill unless those kills are his purpose on wanting things from them, like the mechanic overalls, the kitchen knife and his main target with distractions involved. Chris Haagan I’m not the biggest fan of horror movies but I don’t think he wanted to kill kids. Maybe he has some of sort of feeling that they can be good. Jason is deffinetly the same in part 7 or 6 he was in a room full of kids yet he didn’t kill them. But Freddy would kill anyone his whole backstory is either about murdering or just raping kids

He's fucking 60 and been shot, stabbed, and no telling what the police did to him the night he was arrested, 40 years ago. The man is like a damn Panther. He killed the sheriffs daughter in the original. I bet they beat the crap out of him after he survived the gun shots from, Lomis. I think Myers ran off, lost too much blood, past out in some wooded area, angry cops find him and "drag" him out the woods. That would be a good way to explain the scratches and craters on the mask. Illinois has a lot of thorn bushes. I live in a town of 5,000 in, Southern Illinois. 60, And he's still tremendously strong, wow!
All injuries obtained after the first film don’t count anymore they are like imaginary now because this is like a re-boot nothing after the first film is included in this story line
His movement seems a bit different to the original, I would say, and certainly different to the 1981 sequel. He seems less robotic in this new one. Also, we see more of Myers, while in the original, we didn't see much of him. In the original, one moment, he was there, and then the next moment he's suddenly not there. He was like a mysterious presence, an omnipresent entity and a force of nature that could appear anywhere with a gust of wind blowing along/through the autumn leaves. He completely transcended what could be understood as the ordinary human condition restricted by finite human limitations. In this new film, he appears less supernatural (not saying he wasn't human in the original, as he was). Not sure what to think about that, but nevertheless, I loved the trailer. Some good references to H2 as well.

This is not a remake, it's clearly a sequel. How are they trying to make him look weak? He seems like his usual self in the two trailers. Also I don't see anything about masks that can kill people, but I see Micheal Myers, so this movie has not really like Season of the Witch. Of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I don't understand your reasoning here. I think the trailers look promising, as does the fact that Carpenter, Curtis and lots of other people from the original are involved. I'm cautiously optimistic that we might get a good slasher movie again.
This is not a remake. It is the same actor as the lead character and continuation of original story. A remake would have different actors in the role and be starting over. The Zombie crap was a remake.

That was the first one to say, "Fuck the hip 90's reboots, Fuck the edgy 2000's reboots, we just want it like the golden age of slashers." It was then followed by Curse and Cult of Chucky, and one or two Blumhouse flicks that I haven't seen, but definitely exists

I grew up on Halloween, coming out on my 8th birthday. It literally scared the shit out of me for years decades and that of my entire generation. Back then you could be left at home alone at night without your parents or a baby sitter and it was totally legal, creepy doors, shutters, storms, backyards, garages, real Halloween nights with getting apples being laced with razor blades, howling winds, real serial killers every night on the news, real killings, real kids living this, so Halloween is a truly special film series that speaks to an entire Generation of audiences, shaping them. Terrifying them, giving them nightmares and memories forever and wherever. There was nothing but horror film after horror film from the late 70's thru the 80's because of this movie. It had a huge effect on millions of kids and I think it shaped an entire generation unlike the Millennials of today who had none of that and are so f'd up today. This was a great movie, great filmmaking, great acting, great horror scenes. Go see it. I know millions of Gen X'rs will for sure!!! Can't wait to see it again. Definitely had a hard time sleeping afterwards, the images and violence is so incredibly real and I've worked with and cut up dead bodies in autopsies and surgeries and seen and worked with tons of blood, brains, and guts and real fucking real scary real viciously violent evil psychos in real life. Every scene is very authentic, creepy AF and simply awesome all around. Can't wait for the sequel. Just gets better and better. Turned my interest in all the old horror films that I avoided because this one in 1978 scared me shitless, turned it on wide open. All the classic Horror films are great and this series is the best! This movie is more about the generational trauma that haunts victims. People who don't understand that and are quite immature are the ones who didn't like it. It's great. It's real and it's scary and it's fulfilling for anyone who has lived a full life, especially well-developed women. The losers who didn't like it wouldn't know a good movie if they saw one and are big infantile boys still wearing diapers and thumb-sucking. You want to know what's scary? Talk to trauma victims. Talk to gunners from OEF/OIF who are haunted by the ghosts of the Iraqi's they killed. Talk to Vietnam Vets who were mole rats and who can kill you with their bare hands. Talk to psychos who you can see nothing but pure menacing coldness and evil in their eyes. The way they move and stab you. This movie is all that and is fucking real, fucking poignant and simply the best, full circle. Wait til you live some of these scenes in real life and you will know what disturbing and scary is. This movie won't get your adrenaline flowing externally but will disturb you internally. It's like a rounded out, smoothed out, shaved down Halloween targeting much bigger audiences. It's the haunting imagery afterwards that gets you WHEN you LEAVE the theater. Great movie! Go see it. The theater was fully packed and that has happened in three decades.

yep he just goes on random kills and ends up at laurie's grandaughter's friend's house, the closet scene, then Laurie and Sheriff investigates the house and that's when laurie and Michael see each other. At the cemetery when Martin and his sidekick investigator visit Judith Myers grave, anyone notice a body hanging from the tree?

It was Michael stalking from afar, he was wearing all white prison clothes set when he escape the bus of custody.
He doesn't need to kill unless those kills are his purpose on wanting things from them, like the mechanic overalls, the kitchen knife and his main target with distractions involved.
His overalls he got from the mechanic he busted the teeth out of to drop them in the bathroom stall.

Chris Haagan I’m not the biggest fan of horror movies but I don’t think he wanted to kill kids. Maybe he has some of sort of feeling that they can be good. Jason is deffinetly the same in part 7 or 6 he was in a room full of kids yet he didn’t kill them. But Freddy would kill anyone his whole backstory is either about murdering or just raping kids

He walks perfectly! Just glides around like he's using his back, neck, and shoulders to make his feet glide around. He's fucking 60 and been shot, stabbed, and no telling what the police did to him the night he was arrested, 40 years ago. The man is like a damn Panther. He killed the sheriffs daughter in the original. I bet they beat the crap out of him after he survived the gun shots from, Lomis. I think Myers ran off, lost too much blood, past out in some wooded area, angry cops find him and "drag" him out the woods. That would be a good way to explain the scratches and craters on the mask. Illinois has a lot of thorn bushes. I live in a town of 5,000 in, Southern Illinois. 60, And he's still tremendously strong, wow!

His movement seems a bit different to the original, I would say, and certainly different to the 1981 sequel. He seems less robotic in this new one. Also, we see more of Myers, while in the original, we didn't see much of him. In the original, one moment, he was there, and then the next moment he's suddenly not there. He was like a mysterious presence, an omnipresent entity and a force of nature that could appear anywhere with a gust of wind blowing along/through the autumn leaves. He completely transcended what could be understood as the ordinary human condition restricted by finite human limitations. In this new film, he appears less supernatural (not saying he wasn't human in the original, as he was). Not sure what to think about that, but nevertheless, I loved the trailer. Some good references to H2 as well.

This is not a remake, it's clearly a sequel. How are they trying to make him look weak? He seems like his usual self in the two trailers. Also I don't see anything about masks that can kill people, but I see Micheal Myers, so this movie has not really like Season of the Witch.
Of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I don't understand your reasoning here. I think the trailers look promising, as does the fact that Carpenter, Curtis and lots of other people from the original are involved. I'm cautiously optimistic that we might get a good slasher movie again.
This is not a remake. It is the same actor as the lead character and continuation of original story. A remake would have different actors in the role and be starting over. The Zombie crap was a remake.
