@@zWORMzGaming there's something about buying a mid range GPU that feel quite satisfying, when you buy an expensive card it obviously would perform well but buying something that is affordable and having good upscaling methods to help it so that you can play really demanding games at 1440p or 4k feel way better

It's running out of RAM in the minimum specs. There is a chance that increasing the minimum RAM to 16GB might get rid of the worse of the stutters.
I tried playing Fallout 4 in 2016 with 4gb ram...didn't work out so well.

DX11 is much better in this title. Vulkan has drops and stutters all through the game. Especially in cutscenes.
and crashies! When i did wulkan my pc crashed on it dx11 no crash.

They must have messed something up then, any game I play with Vulkan (almost every game, since im on linux) works flawlessly.

Great video. There is night and day difference between low and high settings. I played this game at Medium settins on my laptop and it looked good.
imo when minimum requirement includes amd fx series we should ignore that and go for the intel side. most people have gotten rid of amd fx by now

It shows how weak of a CPU you really need. You could likely run this on a 1st or 2nd gen intel as they are much stronger CPUs than an FX is.

I really wish you have done something with the intel side for the minimum requirement. You could disable the hyperthrrading on your 4770k to silmulate an i5. It's still faster than an i5 but should not be too far off. Just curious about the results 😅
Do you think maybe devs make these kinda crazy minimum settings to widen the net for potential buyers of their games? Like they know that the minimum settings will not be an enjoyable playing experience but they want to get as many gamers “playing” their game as possible so they skuff the minimums?

Great video! I'd have loved to see the FX8350 with a reasonable overclock and 16 GB of RAM. It would still be terrible but perhaps it would become just passable enough? I used to play BG3 on a much faster Ryzen 3750H laptop and the CPU was barely keeping up in Act 3. 😂

sup bro can you test out the arc cards a770 in few of these games you've been testing , with fsr 3 frame generation you've been making videos on those so might as well test a770 please😁
i use the gtx 970 and it performs rather well, turn on some fsr and you can bump up some settings like model textures for better faces. most of the time it with run above 60fps but in the shadow lands it takes heavy hits, around 50 fps in the intensive areas. its quite good in act 3 too. this is a mix of medium and low

yes you are right I have an RX 5700 with the XT BIOS it is a bit like the new RX580 it does everything at 1080p bought it for €100 six months ago I am from the Netherlands one of the better ones for the money
make sure you have good cooling and it lacks some features from the RTX 2000 series but costs 2/3 of a 2070/super

Also it doesn't hang nearly as much on the first 2 acts but, it does in act 3

It's crazy that even games like these are intensive. These games used to be played with 100+ fps. They have to stop adding too much graphics. We dont need smallest particle with high quality.
With decent CPU-cooling and case-cooling _(even if the side-panel were removed temporarily during testing such that a desk-fan points at the area near RAM and CPU)_ and with 16GB RAM capable of tweaking in the BIOS (UEFI), as long as some careful BCLK MOD and voltage tweaks were done and RAM settings changed, that FX8350 CPU _(small overclocking in addition to the other aforementioned changes that make most of the difference)_ PC could keep up with a better 8GB VRAM GPU _(or higher)_ to play that game, especially if either an NVMe were used of if multiple SSD were used in RAID such as RAID10. A thermometer-gun would be worthwhile _(near VRM, RAM and so on)_ and thermal camera (even just a webcam with the IR-Filter off _would do something)._ If the Motherboard were a Gigabyte 990x Gaming chipset, it would have a couple of PCIe-3 slots capable of taking a pretty good GPU _(and even SLI in NvidiaInspector although there are options beyond SLI for single powerful GPU setup on it)._

Which is the best old gpu for cheap that will give performance of 1080p with low settings and stable 60 frames per second & tell also the Cpu to pair with it.
You can really tell how the FX has so many trouble passing through data in modern games. They're truly not real 8 core chips. They didn't get a lawsuit for nothing advertising as true octacores when essentially these FX chips are 4 modules with two integer cores sharing resources, hence the slow throughput.
this game is pretty well optimized compared to other games nowadays. i mean i have 1070 and can play it at ultra. 8 year old card playing 2nd half of 2023 game at ultra. there is not a lot of games like that. probably if you put a better cpu even like 5+ years old at this point and ddr4 with gtx 970 you can play through this game
Min and rec settings for any game are always a complete gamble. Min in some games they are like yea lowest settings but smooth 60 fps gameplay is what you will get. Min in other some other games you get a warning message on launch and then the game crashes. Rec settings are the same. I remember starfield on launch watching videos people using recommended settings and getting 20 fps in the first city lol
Would be nice if we got some basic baselines that devs have to meet to call settings minimum or recommended like lowest settings 30 fps for minimum or something so they can't trick people into thinking their machines will run the game.

Are you able to do a rx 6600 xt vs rtx 3060/3050 tests? These are most popular budget gpus that are in similar performance
Should work great. I have an RX 5600XT a generation behind and at 1080p it defaulted everything to Ultra. I have it paired with a Rysen 5 1600AF and well so far it is very smooth and no issues. I am only in the early game at the moment but it works great with my budget system. My guess is the only GPU you mentioned that might struggle a bit is if you go with the cut down RTX 3050 6GB, But even that is just a guess.

As for the min requirements. I don't have the game, but I had other games like it in the last 40 years. I really don't see the framerate dropping to the 20s or even high teens as a huge issue as long as it doesn't affect the actual gameplay when it happens. Yes it takes away from the enjoyment, but so does not running at full details. It still looks completely playable to me with the 970 and the FX chip. (heh).
I am not saying I would choose to play it like this.

That graphics card will do 100+ fps in 1440p High settings. Based on the recommended requirements, a 4070 super is much faster than a 2060 super and a RX 5700 XT. Make sure to have a good SSD to avoid any major stuttering issues and frametime spikes.

The 7900XTX is slightly faster in rasterization, whereas the 4080S is faster in RT.
The 7900XTX has more VRAM, the 4080S has better upscaling tech (DLSS).
The 4080S will be better for work, there are lots of programs that take big advantage of CUDA...
I think I'd pick the 4080S if it's the same price as the XTX. However, if the XTX is cheaper by 100$ or more, I'd pick it instead 👍
Keep in mind that I haven't tested the XTX, this is based off of other reviews I've seen!
You can even do 4K! Its a beast at 4K res.

Hey guys i have a question for you, I've been trying to buy insurgency sandstorm since its less than 10 dollars on steam but I live in Syria and here we can't buy games directly from steam so we usually contact local sellers who get someone from outside the country to gift you the game with an increase in price, but they are currently not working during the summer sales (I figured they don't want tons of people buying at a discount since that significantly lowers their profit ) and steam won't allow me to buy the game since in Syria. Is there any way to fix this?
The problem with minimum req is the ram because it's swapping on the ssd and create stuttering. 16gb is the real minimum

I've been saying this for months. He needs at least a 990x board, DDR3 2400 and a healthy cooler with at least a 240 watt tdp. Even left at stock it would increase performance beyond margin. With a good OC it's way better.
Now try the ryzen with the old 970. Probs be ok.

With an RX 6600 having only 3-5% less performance on paper (according to TechPowerUp) and also having a Ryzen 5 3600 with 16 GB of RAM, the Recommended part of the video should tell me if it'd be worth getting the game or not. At least once I get another SSD 'cos that 150 GB space requirement is insane!
I think you'll have a lot of fun with this game on those specs.
If your motherboard has an available m.2 slot I definitely recommend an nvme SSD as they are super fast and help with load times and some games really work better with them.

Yes, FX 8350 is really bad. It's way weaker than i5 4690. The minimum requirement from AMD should be at least a Ryzen 1300x.

This is not even close to true. They blow away celerons from the era and as AMD targeted Nehalem i5s for their IPC, they succeeded. Plus it has 8 cores. I realize only one core can use an ALU at a time but that doesn't make them useless. The clustered multithreading of this chip gives is a 65% uplift in IPC per core. It is way faster than hyperthreading/SMT. Zen chips up to now still use the same core complexes, they are just arranged differently and connected with Infinity Fabric instead of HyperTransport. If you have not used one set up to game, and have only watched videos? Stop it. You're just spreading mis info and Kryzzp, you should be ashamed. Gimping the chip more than it already is. Why? Just start calling the FX 8350 Bob and I will understand.
Kryzzp kryzzp kryzzp I know I'm late to comment but in gta 5 if you shoot the sand on the beach with mini gun it lowers fps more then grass not joking my rtx 4080 r7 7800x3d hit 64 fps meanwhile I was a max graphics at 1440 p with fps cap 165 so it wasn't stuttering but it was crazy with the fps

What are you thinking, my friend is selling me his pc for 70 euros, it has ryzen 5 1600, gtx 1060 3gb, 16gb ddr4 3600mhz (cpu limits ram speed to 2133mhz or 2400mhz) and 2 ssds and good case is it good?
It's a very good price it should probably sell for triple of that especially with 2x ssd, good rams and a case. You could probably upgrade it to some used cpu+mobo (keep the rams) and gpu like rx 5700 xt or 6800 non-xt/xt and have same or better performance than the ps5.

That's a deal, still gonna run nicely for those lighter titles like fortnite or valorant, maybe some heavier ones at low settings. Used to have a 1060 6gb and that ryzen 1600, played quite a lot of forza horizon 5 on it, it runs decently at medium, the 3gb one probably need to drop to low to run well, but then again at 70 euros i'd say still a deal

Well. My Win7 machine can run it 40-60 FPS outside. Locked 60 in inside environments. Native resolution, med-high settings. FX6300 @4,2 GHz, GTX 970 (slightly overclocked) and 16 GB DDR3 1600 @1866MHz. And from HDD. Strangely enough, I like to play this game on mentioned computer, not on my AMD 5800x3d and GTX 3080 12Gb setup. Probably I am old enough, buttery smooth means something wrong.
Sure, cutscenes are... weird, if we are talking about FPS. Always thought it's because of HDD.
