As an owner of this piano, I feel the need to provide this feedback: I think soundwise it is not bad, but not too particular good But most important issue is the clicking noises I start to get from some keys. Apparently I am not the one with this issue. Just wanted to provide this feedback to potential buyers.
@@benji040 The problem with click is that it's like an manufacture issue. It comes in some keys with time. It has something to do with the exclusive heavy hammering action System from Roland. It's notticeable in sound and also in fingers. The clicking keys sound way clickier than the normal "healthy" keys. It disturbed me a bit. After all I spent more money than I would in a Yamaha or a Casio. I returned it to the shop and Roland offered me to fix. But I chose a refund instead.

Totally amazing at what you can get for such a low price. $499 from Sweetwater. Optional piano stand $89. I assume it has a head phones jack for practicing when everyone else is sleeping. Great Demo. Great job Roland.
Having less feature is actually a great thing. I have a dirt cheap keyboard from yamaha which has 61 keys and so many buttons above them that looks nothing less like a pilot cockpit
I like how the presenter doesn't even mention how great the action is on this piano - you have to spend 3000 on a Yamaha digital to get action as good. If you hold a key with thumb and second finger, bring it down a bit and jiggle it, you can feel hammers banging around inside the keys. That is fantastic and gives it an authentic grand piano feel, together with the textured keys. Fantastic piano for that price. The Yamaha P 145 is no where near as good, and the keys make a rattling sound. With the FP 10 the keys are fairly quiet when playing on low volume without headphones.

This is the non bullshit begginer digital piano!! With this beast and proper teach you will mastered piano in half year or more! And when you switch to accoustic no problem or big adjustment because the weight of keys actually more heavier than common upright!
I agree it has just enough features required to learn. Bluetooth is a big +. Can record easily using midi or aux cables. Good enough action to not require an upgrade until a long long time. I can't say how long cause i spent a year learning and am yet to outgrow the piano.

How about the clicking noise of the keys? For some reason, none of the reviewers dont mentions this misunderstanding. After a week of using the FP-10, the keys start to click. This is due to the mechanics of the keyboard and the using of grease under the keys. The problem is very common, there are many discussions on Reddit about this. Owned FP10, the key click problem was confirmed. Loved this instrument, but this clicking issue is really disappointing. Roland needs fp10 quality control.

i bought this piano few days ago, it's many years i play an upright piano, i have some difficult to adjust my piano technique on the roland in fast passages like in czerny etudes, rolands keys seems to be heavier but i didn't really understood what exactly makes more difficult to play on the roland, is it the same for you guys, how is your experience playing this roland compared with acustic pianos?

I was about to purchase Roland FP 10 but when I am about to connect it to my macbook, it doesn't recognize the FP 10 as a midi controller/instrument for my Digital Audio Workstation (Garageband). It is supposed to automatically recognize the instrument like any other midi keyboards unless Roland FP 10 does not support Midi functions for DAW? Can anyone help? Thank you so much!
I had the same issue with my ipad, until I found the ipad is pairing with the roland as soon as I switch it on so other apps don't recognize it as a midi bt device. I must delete it everytime from BT devices, so other apps are able to connect to it. But I dunno if you're trying with bluetooth too or by usb.
There is a noticeable shaking in every sound as if the pitch bend is slightly turned out causing a subtle flanger, chorus, etc. effect on every demonstrated patch. I'm not sure what it is.
I finally saved up enough money to get a ,cheap‘ digital piano for Christmas, but I‘m torn between the Yamaha P-45 and the Roland FP-10 :/ Which one do you think is better?
sorucha I would recommend the Roland FP-10 due to it having a more realistic feel but hey, that’s just me. I’ve also heard better things but for budget of the px is slightly better but if your budget isn’t more then 700$ then i would recommend the Roland FP-10.

Both have very nice key action, great sounding piano sounds, the Casio has a slim, lightweight case and way more sounds. The Roland has Midi/Audio over Bluetooth, the Casio, AFAIK, has only Bluetooth audio. Tough choice, find a way to play them and see which feels better.

Hi, thanks for your interest! The FP-10 doesn’t have MIDI DIN connections, so you can’t connect it directly to hardware synths. However, it does have a USB-MIDI connection, so you can connect it to a computer and use it as a controller for virtual instruments. Does this keyboard have a "Transpose" button? In order to play along with my church I'm looking for a keyboard that I can quickly change the key from C to sharp or flats?
Hi, Linda! Thanks for your interest. The FP-10 does have a transpose feature, but it’s not a dedicated button. Holding down the Function button and pressing the A key above C6 will transpose the keyboard up one half step - doing the same with the G key will transpose it down one half step - and the G#/Ab key will return the instrument to its default pitch. Supplier here in the netherlands said the same: March 2021. I asked about the clicking noise, they are aware of it. They sold many fp10's and a handful came back with clicking noises, which are fixed/ replaced under warranty. And it's a 3 year warranty. I do know they now only sell a new version of the fp30, (since they use the same keyaction) not sure if this batch has the clicking issue fixed)
Hello! What will be more attractive, casio px-s1000 or roland fp-10? Alas, I could not appreciate the live sound of the instruments, I ordered fp-10 for myself, but later I found casio px-s1000, which was not very expensive in price with fp-10, but it seemed better to me, judging by its characteristics. Are these two tools very different? Already managed to get upset with my purchase :(

Alas, I could not appreciate the live sound of the instruments, I ordered fp-10 for myself, but later I found casio px-s1000, which was not very expensive in price with fp-10, but it seemed better to me, judging by its characteristics.
Are these two tools very different? Already managed to get upset with my purchase :(
months late to answer this but there is some controversy regarding the key action on the new casios, and in that regard the roland appears to be superior
