Wiring diagram 4:45
damn, that beginning was pretty wholesome.
I've noticed two schools of printing, people who design and make stuff with 3d printers and people who design and make stuff for their 3d printer to side grade it.
Thanks Dad, what a good man!
Cool!
Hey man I love your persona in this video. The theme, the way its edited, its great. thanks so much for a quality video
Thanks! I really appreciate that 😊
Thanks for your tutorial!
Lol these edits... You're a funny man

I am making all of these right now thanks so much.
Pimp my SV06! Nice!
2:15 - Apparently, Sovol sells PLA on their website that matches the light blue of their injection molded parts.
I'm waiting for the Klipper version of the SV06 Plus with WiFi, hopefully with a 4 conductor CANbus cable to the extruder instead of that big ribbon cable (what were they thinking?), and with improved part cooling on the extruder as well as a larger part cooling fan on the X gantry like the SV07. I'd also like to see an optical filament run out sensor on the top of the extruder. But mostly, I want an SV08 Plus that is the SV06 Plus with Klipper and better part cooling.
The filament guide is helpful if you run your filament from not exactly above the extruder but at an angle. I for example have it in a drybox on a shelf above the printer which overhangs quite a bit. So without the guide the filament would not go straight into the extruder causing some friction.
Your voice and even the style you talk in remind me so much of another CZcamsr named Bush Radical. Just thought it was funny.
I like your upgrades, really the best ones for this printer are the slot covers, which you did, and then fan mods. 4020 on the hot end cooler, helps eliminate heat creep and keeps the blobs of doom that these printer are known for from happening. 5015 on the part cooler, more flow and hits the part from two sides.
Haha, I'll have to check out that channel!
Glad you liked the video!
Nice video. My SV06 is good so far runs well with Klipper. Very reliable. Only wish the hotend was more upgradable
czcams.com/video/_Soz8z-vAIw/video.html cnc kitchen mod his ender 3 with a volcano nozzle. I think its possible. In my case in using a CHT clone nozzle, It helps have a bit more flow, cnc kitchen make a vídeo about It too.
The first "upgrade" should be wiring the MCU fan to a continuous 24v source. In factory setup the MCU fan runs on the same voltage as the part cooling fan. I'm not sure if all of the units are like this or what the engineers thought when they designed this solution, but it is quite straightforward to fix this issue if you have some experience with electronics.
Loving mine so far. As a first printer it's been easy to get printing pretty awesome
Lots of love to your dad! Great printer, I am currently looking into both SV06 and SV07, differnce in price between the two in my region is just 36 USD. I like the SV06 hardware wise i.e. rails but it doest seem cost effective (when comparet do SV07 price in my region) to get a RasPI and touchscreen for getting it upgraded to klipper.
Haha, thanks 😁
Definitely go for the SV07 if you're wanting Klipper out-of-box. I'd like to check out the SV08, too. I think that's going to be a great printer from what I've seen. But it's a lot more, price-wise.
The Klipper screen is a great add-on for the SV06 too, now that I've used it a bunch, there's no way I could ever go back. I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you choose. 🙂
The only recommendation I could give would be to upgrade that PSU to a Meanwell as quickly as possible. China ain't known for their.....stringent regulations on anything. TH3D has some Meanwell's for the SV06. He did a pretty cool test while switching it out for the original.
Yes! That's going to be one of my next upgrades. I saw that TH3D video, too. Good stuff.
I'm currently in the market for a new printer and I'm so torn between the SV05 cubic and SV06. I really like the reviews I've seen on the SV06 but I'd rather not get another bed slinger for now.
I hear you, I was torn between the same two. In the future, I may end up getting the 05 if I don't get an SLA printer, first.
TH3D has some great updates for this printer
Agreed!
I thinnk to have read that the electronic board can manage neopixels leds with gcode.
Your dad rules!
I second that!
Esun has an ABS that is close enough to that shade of blue.
Thanks for the info!
Do you have to use a separate switch? Couldn't you just have it so the lights always come on when the printer is on?
Yes, you could bypass it, just wire directly to the power supply. I just like the option of the switch because i run my printer overnight sometimes.
Any issues with bed leveling, or did the printer work just fine from the start?
It worked for me from the start. I've seen a few people having issues with the Z alignment not staying true, but so far so good here.
Did you have any issues?
Nice! I ordered mine yesterday, but I'll try to remember and keep you updated
Lol i didnt got the filament dryer and the enclosure...
I have writen 3 emails, but nobody answers from the sovol tech Support xD
That sucks. I've heard a lot of people are having/have had problems with their customer support.
My experience was smooth and painless. It should be consistent all the way around.
Polymaker makes a polyterra that's should be pretty close to that blue.
Thanks for the heads up!
So filament dryer is necessary? I’m just beginning on this journey….
For certain filaments. I've personally had to use it on PETG and TPU filaments. But there are others that are affected by moisture.
Hello Friend, I bought a Sovol v6 60 days ago and I'm struggling with bed adhesion. The PEI is not holding the prints, and I even had to buy a new Hotend set for a complete replacement because plastic got stuck when detaching from the PEI, damaging the entire Hotend. Could you tell me what I can do? I'm almost considering throwing away this machine.
If the print isn't sticking, try lowering the Z offset a bit. I usually go just a hair more than I measure with paper (or just pinch the paper tighter than you originally did).
In the very least, before you chuck it, you have a 1 year warranty. I would contact Sovol and explain the issues. They have sent me replacement parts for free to fix any issues I've had. And that's without knowing I run this channel.
Hope this helps!
have by any chance install a filament runout sensor?
No, currently, I have a replacement motherboard on the way. But it's something I'm looking into.
Hi. Could you update it with filament runout sensor?
I'm looking into it.. but so far the only option I've seen to add one is with a main board swap. I'm still searching, though.
@@Avel hmm... SV06 Plus have this sensor... Maybe it's possible to solder socket for it on SV06 board and flash with Plus software....
I'm having alot of problem with my sv06. But I like it.
Like what? I have one coming in tomorrow lol
@@christian4530 mainly zaligment problems. Very hard for me ajust, people with more experience must be easy. On time the extruder got stuck I had to open it took some time but I managed to fix. I'm newbie but learned alot.
And it very hard for me print with good quality, lots of ozing, but recently I thinking my filament need to be dehydrated. As its my frist printer can't tell how much is me or the printer. But it wasn't a smooth learn curve. Maybe yours can be better. I don't know if I got a bad printer with some problems form factory, maybe your came batter shape. What I know is too much variables, I wish I could print flawless from factory. Some people had this experience, I'm not one of them.
Make sure the filament gear on the right side of the extruder, when the blue wheel is facing you, it well screwed. Some time the gear don't pull the filament and it stop extruding.
For very experienced people this machine can be wonderful I guess.
@@Gabs_Labs I appreciate the reply. And this is my first printer too so wish me luck haha.
@@Gabs_Labs if too problematic I’ll prob return it and get an Elegoo Neptune 3 pro
@@christian4530 for people that just want to print, best choice. In my sv06 I changed the bearings lm8uu, because of the noise and friction, I've printed 2 rectangles to put between the z motors and the z pillars to make it 90 degrees. I put 688zz bearing in the space in the z screws to more stable moviment. Alot of this is in sv06 plus, so maybe that a better choice.
Sv06 can reach 300 degrees so if want to print with engineering filaments, nylon, carbon fiber. But Without a case must be hard.
Do you have any upgrades recommendation for a sovol 6 plus Build plate
Are you having issues with the original build plate? I don't have the Plus but isn't it a PEI powder coated plate too, like the SV06? The one I use on my SV06 is the stock one, I bought an extra one and they both work fine for me.
If yours isn't PEI powder coated, I'd recommend that.
@Avel So the stockbuuild plate on Mine cracked when I was taking off one of the 3D prints And the bill plate I have has double-sided so it has PEI plate and then just the stock black one on the other side.
It cracked?? That's crazy! I would say, ask around the Facebook SOVOL forum to see what other people are using. If I had any experience with the Plus I'd be of more help. Maybe one day I'll pick one up.
Is here someone who has fixed the auto-z-align-problem?
Everytime I start the "Auto Z-align" the printer starts moving, stops and the display shows "Driver error: PRINTER HALTED please reset". I already installed the latest firmware from a new micro-SD-card, but i never got farther than the Auto Z-align
You should be a narrator for movies or a TV show.
Haha, thanks 😁
@@Avel You could even do audio books, or narrate for youtube channels. Could be easy work you can do from home. You have a chill voice that I think a lot of people would enjoy.
@@user-lx9jm1wo3h You're too kind, haha 😊
I've heard a lot over the years that my voice is calming. Years ago, one of my friends said I should do ASMR 😄
That's not a bad idea though, to do voiceovers for others if there's a market for it. I'll have to look into that!
@@Avel I hope you do, man. All you would need is a nice microphone, some audio software, and all you do is just read the scripts that are emailed to you.
Good video. Was it sponsored by Sovol?
I wish.
@@Avel I was sad to read that Sovol sometimes gives 50% discount in exchange for a five star review and a video. I thought the printer was good without the buying of reviews. It makes all their reviews, even the honest ones, suspicious.
@@breakflight Really? I hadn't seen that. Yeah, that's sketchy. Thanks for sharing!
I upgrade to klipper and then control the light software. No need for such an archaic approach. Believe me, it's an easy installation, just educate yourself, read and then you can choose Klipper. The Sovol printer is brilliant because you can easily install Klipper on it. Same with Kingroon printers. Why am I writing this? Because I have a klipper installed and on this you can set, for example: 20 percent of the lighting power when the printer is idle, 100 percent of the lighting power during printing, and when it finishes printing, it flashes 10 times so that "draw attention to yourself" to it that it is over and then it goes to 20 percentage of light output. And if there is no activity, it turns off the light after 20 minutes. Configuration in Marlin is cumbersome and outdated, there were no such boards with a greater possibility to do so.
Oh God, a Klipper dork entered chat.
@@ipdjbt Why? After all, everything works for me, the klipper controls the light beautifully. Knowledge of the board plus software does its job. Dork if you doesn't try.

My Ender3Max is already price of Bambu X1C…pointless work to do. I wont do it twice…
Filament color is devil design pla cyan or Goedis PETG cyan ... Goedis is gone from the market 😁 search for irics in YT 🙂
