Really Cool! Thanks
Que bonita camioneta.
Beautiful truck
Thank you
I see what you did there with the rear bumper.. I’m working on a short bed conversion and the bottom of the rear section doesn’t exactly line up with the rest of the bed. I like how you put the bumper in that area 👍👍
I sell these bumpers on my website if your interest in one send me an email at desertmetalfab@gmail.com
Website is jordipincock.wixsite.com/desertmetal
What my 59 could've looked like.
But I left it mostly stock.
It still can, this one is for sale! Check out my website for more info and pictures of the truck.
Great job !!!! Would like to get the tailgate hardware from you and put it on my 1960 F100 ????

I just bought a '60 F100... would love to pick your brain. I live in South St. Jeezy off River Road & Southern Pkwy. The guy I bought it from spray painted the body and I would love to take it down to the Patina but my wife wants me to strip it and have it wrapped. I'm really on the fence about it all. I just need to strip the bed liner from the chrome bumper & bed as it looks tacky. Its got a 292 & 3 on the tree.
Feel free to call me anytime!
@@desertmetalfab3170 Certainly will. Love your work
Do you know a good recommendation for heat insulation in the cab, its just metal there. I was going to put some insulation then rubber carpeting to give me something to make it not look like a metal floor and feel as if its that much hotter under my feet.
Did you make the new bed floor what kind of material did you use.
Yes. Did 100% of the build myself other than the upholstery. Did a bed lift because of the suspension, with ised 1.25 steel square tube and made a platform then I used composite wood decking for the wood. made templates and made the steel straps to go around the border and across the bed to make it look like an old wood barrel.
Is LMC the best place to find affordable stuff for these trucks?
Yes LMC and CJ Pony Parts
Do you have a lift at your place? I want to see why there's so much play in my steering wheel. If not its all good. stay cool!
I don’t have access to a lift right sorry, I work for a different company know and I do my side stuff/desert Metal in my garage
@@desertmetalfab3170 Thank you!
Do you know anyone in Colorado doing swaps? I need help w mine.
No I don’t sorry
What center caps are those on the wheels?
I made them. Bought some Wheel Vintiques baby moon caps and welded the stock crown Vic center caps inside of them.
@@desertmetalfab3170 awesome! They look great. Nice work
@@farmerandsonsgarage6883 thanks
Are you still doing metal work in St. George. How can we contact you.
Yes. Email me at desertmetalfab@gmail.com
what are the tires sizes front and back?
235/55zr17
235/55zr17 Nitto Motivo
What on the rust? Has it been neutralized?
Boiled linseed oil
@@desertmetalfab3170 No kidding? Never would have thought of that... I'll give it a try.
@@corneliuscrewe677 I lightly scuffed everything with fine scotchbright, then wiped the truck off with acetone. Take a glass Mason jar and mix it 3/4 linseed oil and 1/4 mineral spirits to thin it out so it isn’t sticky. Apply using a rag. Let dry for 24 hours.
@@desertmetalfab3170 Thanks for the tip! I've got a '67 I've had for over 30 years, lots of spots where the paint has simply worn out. Put in a lot of miles and hard work in that truck, plan to keep her around a good deal longer. This will help👍
