- Lately, here in Bangkok, the pollution and fine dust levels have been really high, and today, the air quality was the worst I have seen it. In this Daily Vlog, I take a walk through the streets of Bangkok and down to Lumphini Park to see what the city is looking like during this time.

Say mask again . Unfollowed
man.. I'm gonna have a real hard time with this one 😫
More masks in China way before the pandemic broke out. For the same reason stating in the video - air pollution.
Ultimate snowflake gets triggered by the word "mask." Shame you didn't get a Herman Cain Award (yet)
I think Keis will be fine without people who are offended by the idea of respiratory disease prevention.
Anti mask idiots are among the worst of the angry political people. They see a mask or someone says mask and they are fully triggered and want to yell Fauciiiiii! They don’t live in a world of context or practical application - they just see political sides. Would yell the same way at a farm worker wearing a mask while spraying pesticides 😂
Yes , it’s very bad these last few days in bkk 😢
Yeah, looking better today which is good 😊
@@keisone yeah 👍 let’s hope it gets better and stays that way , but …
@@keisone lovely low reading of 155 right now 🥹
Pattaya has been not too bad. No problem going for a run the last couple days. Bangkok is in a bad spot for smog accumulation. Best to head down south and have a couple beers on the beach.
Was just in Bangkok for a week... Couldn't even see the skyline.
Avoid Chiang Mai and BKK from Jan to April. Avoid Delhi Punjab Haryana from Jan to April. Same reason. Burning season, plus additional pollutions from other sources.
Gnarly dude! I learned about AQI during the wild fires in Cali. 181 ain’t fun. You should get a filter for your place with a HEPA. Or bounce to Phuket for a bit
Lucky that there are parks and green areas.
Looks bad. Hope it gets better in 2 weeks. Have to do a run to Bangkok for a couple of days and my lungs are not in good shape. May have to mask up. Thanks for the update!
Cheers mate
🙂
I was considering living in Bangkok but the air quality has gotten so bad. On my last visit I could definitely feel my lungs being punished when I went outside. Doesn't seem like a great idea to spend more than a short spell there.
I was there last week and it wasnt nowhere near as bad as an average day in Cali or NYC... It was fine.....
Cool video
Were you near Lampini Park today? I think I saw you at the station but wasn't sure.
Thanks for your content...
Ppl are so dumb. I love your videos Keis. Let's go.
My wife and I were in Bangkok for most of December. The first 2 days the AQI got up to almost 250, but then we took off for Khao Sok and then Siem Reap where the air was great. Then back to Bangkok for 10 days. Luckily on the 2nd part of the Bangkok trip a nice cold front came through and the AQI dropped to under 100 but then started creeping up again towards the end of the trip. I noticed my throat was starting to get scratchy and my nose running. You can literally see the brown haze hanging over the city when you look out the hotel room window. I wish there was something that could be done about it.
just came back from bangkok today, air quality seems fine to me. although its abit hot today (monday) compared to 2 days ago
Damn man, not looking good, I'm wondering whether to reconsider my BKK stay and go up north, hmmm dammit what to do!! hopefully it stays a bit better for when we land in a few weeks, great vid and the quality is next level, love the production quality bro 👌
Thanks mate. It’s looking better again today 😊
Sweet!!
It depends how long you're there for. If it's just a few weeks or whatever, then it's fine. It'd only start hitting your health if you're living there long term.
I've started wearing a pm2.5 Mask for the majority of outings, only exception is when I'm in parks or it's too bloody hot and I'm drenched in sweat 😂
During wild fire season here in America, we might see a couple weeks at well over 300, yeah sucks for sure.
They'll blame the food carts, monks burning incense sticks and ignore the 3 million acres of farmland on fire
It's been really bad in Pattaya as well. It tends to slightly improve later in the day. I noticed the Thai people wearing masks when I first arrived. Now I know why.
I wonder if the air was fouled by all the straight FIRE tracks you laid down in this video brother ! lol Hope your skies stay clear and sunny... safe journey
Reminds me of LA in the 70s.
Welcome to the Los Angeles of Thailand
Just came home from thailand 3 days ago and we ended the trip in Bangkok for last 2 days and man immediately when I arrived there the air was so bad it’s like I catched a cold or something and my throat was so sore and breathing was heavy
Last time i was there i picked up a scratchy throat in 2 days ....Going next month .Hope it gets better.
yes this time PM 2.5 season
Oh man, that’s brutal.
I landed on the 8th and you barely see anything past 2m
Good to know I'll be there again on Wednesday 😢
All good, it was much better today!
Who cares,your coming on Wednesday...
@@stephenclothier5230 I do 😀
This is getting out of control.
If they don't sort it out, it'll end up looking like the Spider-Man 2000 game.
It’s looking better today thankfully! There was a bit of a breeze today
Damn! I’m staying for all of April I’m really hoping it isn’t too bad around then
Ah I’m sure it will be fine then, but April is usually super hot!
Would the air quality be much better in Phuket or Pattaya during burning season or is it all the same?
it would be because close to beach better air flow Bangkok has no air flow.
That actually isn't that bad. I have been to BKK when it was much worse. You should come to Canada in forest fire season in the late summer, The air quality is several times worse and if you were sitting at that lake you wouldn't even be able to see to the other side of it.
Man made forest first season
Hey mate you moved there during Covid, you have had Bangkok at its best, sadly it won;t get any better.
Yeah man, what a time! (Selfishly haha)
@@keisone I was there last week, I had to drink coffee inside or else the dust and milk made phelm, lol Stay safe copy the locals a little and keep your dream alive.
Time to move to Jomtien, I love Bangkok bit for me it's too busy but we still go once a year for a fee days it's a cheap flight from KL.
I was down there like 3 days ago actually! Haha
@keisone we had a big issue a few months ago with the Indonesia fire it's still not so good some days but for sure not as nice as Adelaide where I come from.
Is air quality better near the ocean like Jomtien or Phuket or Hua Hin?
Experienced the same thing when i lived in Beijing.
Thailand has bad air quality because of the forest burning. Same in Indo. Too much exposure shortens life spans.
Ahhhhh
Yeah, it looks bad. I think I saw on a weather report that the winds are constantly blowing the smoke from Farmer's fields towards Bangkok. When the Farmers burn what is left in their fields it can get terribly concentrated,
It's not in Bangkok only, have a look on East Cost and the opposite site of the Gulf. Since weeks the Smog is ridiculous.
Oh yeah? I since looked up India this week and it’s insane there
Air today - gone tomorrow...
Haha yeah!
Remember!
Siam is literally southern China.
All related to Keis visiting cannabis dispensaries
It is definitely bad now, but I feel like it was worse last year. But that was my first year experiencing it, so I may be biased
this is the future for the most of us .......
Go to Phuket
I will be very soon!
Yea it suck cause I have an amazing view of the city but it’s covers in pollution 😫
Id imagine not many ppl would be going up to the rooftop at the Mahanakhon SkyWalk building im surprised you haven't done a video on that yet being Thailand's highest observation deck. If uve never been its well worth the money bro
Oh yeah? I heard from other people it wasn’t worth the money so I never did it haha
@@keisone I thought it was worth the money the view u get is beautiful yeah it's not cheap but I'm sure you could make a dope video out of it so mite be worth it in the end just for that
Awesome bro, I’ll keep it in mind, cheers!
@@keisoneIt’s well worth the money. It’s much cheaper compared to similar “attractions” in other cities. And much better in my opinion. Better than Taipei 101’s by a mile.
Went there four times. Taipei’s, twice, and never returning.
Dayim !
The government is going to have a real problem tackling the PM2.5 problem. While they can make efforts to address the crop burning within the country, the majority of the pollution is being carried from the air currents from the northeast and settling in the central region of Thailand. This is a SEA problem, which will require a joint effort between various countries to address this problem. The government news agencies keep downplaying the problem and aren't addressing the real cause.
Thats why i am in Pattaya 😂😂😂
That’s rank! I guess there’s a price to pay for living in a third world nation
Happens in most of Asia from time to time.. btw Thailand isn’t third world 😉
It’s not 1945 anymore…Thailand isn’t a 3rd world country.
In another vlogger's video, they were burning the underbrush of sugarcane fields.
Good!! Fkkk big city living.
The smaller towns in the provinces is where the Heavens are.
Sorry, it’s because we are using oil in the USA.
just a regular day in Poland
I blame all the guys with two stroke motorbikes. Get a cool eBike instead.
I think the the question should be “What is up with my hair today “ 😆😆, joking dude, just normally don’t see you “Cap free” 👌👌
Too many farmers burning their land
For best good air in Thailand, I recommend kiriwong villedge in Nakornsrithammarat province
Oh nice, thank you, I’ll check it out!
Adam this is the first time ive seen your hair not white😂😂 it does look bad out there what is it the cars and bikes thats it adam go to the park it green and swallows up the fog i think
Haha yeah, I was trying to let it grow a little and get healthy.. time to change up I think lol
Masc 4 masc 😊😛🤤
You should check out Hanoi if you think this is bad 😂
So..... Caused by sugar cane burning? ( After the harvesr ofcourse)😂 ??
A few years ago during one of the nastier fire seasons here in California I had fires to the north, east and west of me, each about 20 miles distance. The smoke levels were horrific. I was definitely wearing a mask outside, but you mostly use your common sense and stay out of it.
According to the BKK govt a few years ago the problem was private car use, last year it was incense at the temples that caused all the pollution - anyone hear what the govt blames it on this year? The greatest show the govt put on was a dozen fire trucks on a airport runway spraying water 20m up in the air like it solved the problem 😂
By the way the actual cause of the pollution is 95% burning of farmlands. If they had tractors to till the fields then the problem would be eliminated but the food prices would go up. The owners of the land don’t want to pay for tractors and the poor farmers do whatever they can because you care fuckall about the environment when you are in poverty. I would bet that USA subsidies given to Tesla for carbon swapping on their electric cars wouldn’t be near as effective on helping the world environment as sending over 10,000 tractors to Asia.
I got bronchitis from visiting bkk at Xmas ...need a mask man at least 2.5 plus ..so bad man I had to visit the hospital to see doctor to prescribe the right antibiotics
Yeah I was wearing one yesterday, things are a little better today
And I drove to Bkk yesterday early 7am and driving into bkk was disgusting and the sun made it look worse ...very very thick smog smoke and dust and looked eeirie...Thailand has a real problem here it's affecting the occupants that live ... visit and even breathe here ...
THIS IS WHY I LEFT THAILAND 🇹🇭 AND MOVED TO VIETNAM 🇻🇳 BECAUSE OF THE AIR POLLUTION IT'S NOT GOOD FOR THE HEALTH...
Can u buy bitcoin for cash in bangkok anywhere
I miss Bangkok. I’m vlogging in Kuala Lumpa now but nothing beats Bangkok 👍
Oh nice, how is it going there? I need to get back to KL at some stage
oh the humanity!!!
ซับไทยให้ผมรู้ใด้มัยครับ
The Thai subtitles should be there, click the CC
It is an absolute shithole to be honest. I dontnunderstand expats that go to thailand and live in bkk if its not strictly for work purposes.
I blame the weed shops
Its so stupid how people get told to fear the air you breath because some establishment told you to, all this air quality awareness has only become more apparent since covid. At this rate, we are highly likely will be expecting a climate lock down? I mean, what changed has occurred in the past 20 years? There are old people that have lived in Bangkok for the past 80 years and probably lived in a slum all their live unaffected by the air BS...
They are 60-65 but look 80 because of the pollution. The dirty air causes respiratory illness after a prolonged time.
@@ViewTalay This show how majority of the world population have no idea, there is a program that is running at global scale where the aerosol of chemicals that supposedly are harmless to human that are suppose to block the sunlight and cool down and help with climate change are being spray in the sky almost on a daily basis. How many of those cloudy days that you seen like its going to rain but it didn't? The question you should really be asking, is the weather/climate manipulation program like "cloud seeding" really safe? What substances are in those aerosols they sprayed and can it cause a respiratory illnesses like tuberculosis in the long term?
You are a trump-tard.
Would never want to live there.
