It's called Villain GOOP
Toffee wasn't begging for his life, he was bragging about himself.
And that doesn't change the fact that belos is way more evil or even he is worst than evil Belos is the most awful insolent shallow loathsome shallow horrible worst evil in all cartoons then you have the audacity to compare belos to toffee, toffee was a victim despise his arrogance and belos is never a victim hi is self absurd narcissistic psychotic pure evil ignoring the fact that belos was gaslighting luz and even bragged about humans are better says it all you are belos alike you are disgusting period.
Well Toffee did think he'd won. And in the end he actually did.
@@shadowsnake8989 SURPRISE!
well both were evil goop monsters who got crushed
Yeah, but they are sort of portraying that Toffee survived, but even if he did it didn't matter magic was destroyed for no reason. The ending of SVTFOE doesn't make sense and it makes me angry! You know what, Disney hated both of these shows because they were popular and Disney was being, you know Disney. So they were both cut short but at least The Owl House had a much better ending.
Big difference Toffee was fighting for his people, Philip, just because was full of hate
belos (im not gonna refer him to philip) never cared about anyone but himself, he wanted to call himself the hero and didn't even care about what the modern day people would've liked. he is too busy living in the past
Toffee still held onto his confidence, telling them "You haven't beaten me yet." Belos is trying to weasel his way out of his death by trying to show himself as the victim. His confidence is gone.
@@natek4488 yeah he was just desperate at the point even trying so hard to change luzs opinion on witches and demons and even saying that him and luz is better than everything
@@natek4488 Toffee is dead keep fighting and never surrendered, despite of being defeated, Belos in the end showed the coward he was.
Different is Toffee Right
One difference, one was right at the very end and the other went out being a lying delusional hypocrite.
I hate to say it(well not really), but it’s safe to say that with the very limited time it had, the owl house handles villains’ defeats with much more sense and proper conclusion.
@@facingflawsorwhatever Yeah- in my opinion, Toffees' defeat was a really confusing moment because of how underwhelming and anticlimactic it seemed, and throughout the series Toffee is being subtly mentioned but nothing truly happens with him other than the reveal that he was right.
Mhm

It's kind of funny how these deaths reveal each of their characters -- Toffee went out bragging about how powerful he is, Belos went out begging for his life while spouting hatred of witches.
Belos/Philip's role is like a form of cancer, one that has plagued the Boiling Iles for years. After he was gone, things began to heal. For Luz and the world that they exist in.
Owl House's version of a villain became impactful as Belos only did it for himself. He thought (as a human) was better than witches. Seeing everything as a plague. Resorting to dark forces to smite everyone he saw as a threat. Believing he was the hero, only he was a villain to others.
As this show deals in a form of perspective. Luz and her friends knew he was nothing more than a liar and a manipulator. Becoming the monstrosity we saw in the final battle.
After that, he lost any chances to trick people who could “trust” him. As he did to his brother many years ago. Due to the implication that he killed his brother off-screen.
His death was necessary for them to move forward. As he escaped death countless times. This time he is not going to escape it.
Plus, he lived past his expected date. Meaning he should have died naturally if he didn't ingest Palismans.
That's why shows like Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and Owl House had a villain that put characters to the test. Later after each defeat, they can try to move forward and look to the future. Not as an ending but as a beginning. Shows like that are why they hold a place in my heart.
Thanks to anyone who reads this.
I’m a bit ashamed to admit that I’m somewhat like Belos. Not in the selfish evil bastard way but more like “humans are better than everything” I’m somewhat of “Raw Raw, humanity rules” kind of guy. I’m not hopelessly bias when it comes to us but the urge to choke slam anything not human when a comparison between us and them are drawn does come up every now and then.
I honestly blame 40k for this weird tendency.
Luz is a human in the Owl House narrative to act as the opposite of Belos due to the time periods they come from.
Belos came from a period of witch trials and discrimination. Even though Luz's time period is somewhat similar. It’s a bit modernized with its own share of problems.
Everyone is in their own perspective where they try to fit in. Either good or bad depending on the perspective or situation based on the group. As people in her world saw her as a weird kid, not be able to fit in.
She tries to look past all that she sees into something different. Luz perspective may seem a childish optimistic approach, but it’s that optimism that branches out her field in a world that is completely different. However it’s characters like Belos is what forced her into fighting what she believed in.
In his perspective he believed to be right.
In her perspective she believed to be right.
The end result is determined by the will and bonds forged from the characters. However it’s what made Belos fail. He stabbed people in the back to get what he wanted and believed he could do everything on his own.
Which is why Luz won. She worked with her friends and family to bring him down.

Star Should have ended in season 3 if only season 4 focuses more on the lore and past queens would have been better
From the season 3 episode Toffee
I'm convinced they ended the show the way they did out of spite. Star vs was another show that got cancelled before the writers thought they would be. So that's why it's so rushed messy and imploded. They were going to stretch out things by a few more seasons. I wouldn't be surprised if killing the magic wasn't the plan till that happened
@@dissonanceparadiddle but apparently the show’s creator said she was happy with how it ended. Also why would you make a bad ending intentionally on a project you’ve basically revolved your life around just because the company you worked for fed you.
@@Airitzu i dunno i guess I'm just inhaling copium on what i thought was the worst ending to a show i thought was so great.

I like how Belos isn't self aware enough to realize he has become an inhumane monster because he was blinded by his hero complex. Even when he was a pile of goo that vaguely resembled a rotted corpse, he still considered himself a human.
"Hey look, look what I did! All by myself!" I loved Ludo in that scene.
Difference is Belos actually put up a fight before he was beaten. Toffee just got his finger and walked off before being beaten easily. They overhyped him a bit too much.
But once Toffee was down and mewling, he was still kicking and boasting.
Belos on the other hand... well he's a parasite acting like a parasite.
Like the Chad he was. Boy I wished he was in a better cartoon.
Starting to forget about star, why is just a tip of his finger so important to him?

That still gets me in the Star Vs Battle for Mewni TV movie.

Well King took that punchline
Unfortunately for Philip, he never learned anything from his mistakes in the past.
Philip's malicious way leads him to his death as he dissolve into nothing less and get stomped out of misery by Eda, King, and Raine.
If we have a third show with a goopy green villain getting squished in some manner. I'm gonna start having questions.
Not that I minded Belos getting literally stomped on
Green Goop serves many useful purposes. No blood, scary looking without being too disturbing for any kids watching, and they aren't humanoid any more so being horribly mutilated and murdered is suddenly A-OK.
Insert the Doofenshmirtz meme
@@yunantheobserver6841 If i had a nickel for every green flesh mass villain who gets squished to death, i would have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice

Yeah well the Bastards at Discovery banished Infinity train into the Infinity Abyss know as the tax write off void... Bunch of BS sending peoples hard work to oblivion never to be seen again to make a quick buck.
funny part is about belos's scene was he said "we're human" while at the time neither of them were human luz was in titan for and belos was goop
wait...unrelated but, LUZ'S HAT CLIPS THROUGH THE LEAF????
HOW AM I ONLY NOW NOTICING THAT
Is very cool how the victims deal the last blow. Ludo was manipulated and Toffee use his body to get the power of the wand, and he crushed Toffee with a pillar. Raine was used to manipulate the collector when he was a puppet, when Belos get the last power, he used to torture Eda and King, so those three has a little pleasure in stamp Belos's weakened monster form.
You know, I got really scared that Belos would just take over King body after being stepped on like that...
That would have ended really badly 😬
The whole time I was thinking "King you shouldn't stomp that if he was able to take an adult Titan you would be controlled in like 5 seconds"
Mmmmh, never thought about it that way ;-;
His skull is crushed along with his brain I think his dead for good... Or maybe not
I don't think King is strong enough yet for Belos to WANT to possess him, though.
It's very possible honestly. Belos goop just leaps up into King's skull
Difference is that toffee got crushed by a pillar while belos literally got jumped
The nominal variance being that Toffee, convinced of being "The Only Adult In The Room," was boasting that "This isn't over! I'LL BE BACK!" ...Only to be crushed into a puddle of goo by Ludo, who didn't appreciate being Body Surf'd by this so-and-so.
Belos was indeed begging for his life. He knew it was all over but the shouting, and was playing the only card he had left- an appeal to shared humanity. But Luz, knowing that Phillip Wittebane's humanity was forfeit the second he decided his goal of genocide was more important, knew he was trying to BS his way into a pardon... and took a step back as Eda, King and Raine (who NEVER owed Belos a kindness) stomped HIM into a puddle of goo. The one common thread? Both involved death-blows by someone who'd been made a puppet of the creature they finally destroyed. Ludo Avarius in the former case, Raine Whispers in the latter.
Ludo: "THAT'S WHAT YOU GET!"
Raine: "That was... EXTREMELY satisfying!"
“Familiar-
Why is this so Familiar-?”
Naw bro, they stepped on him like he was plankton😂
Belos vs toffee would be amazing and very interesting. Belos wants to put a end to monsters and witches while toffee fights for his people but Also wanna put a end to magic too.

My biggest problem wish watching and dreaming is that hunter didn’t get to deal the final blow to belos
Fun fact: there is one more moment in TOH that is a reference to Star vs. Remember when King and Luz were writing a book, and when Luz was trapped by elegant lizard in shrinking box?
Credit where its due, Ludo's line after he finished off Toffee was pure fire.
"You go squish now!"
Glad I wasn't the only one thought of this.
King: Ew, its on my claws
Belos: He he he he I will return again.

The settings and time may be different but the heros and villains never change

Unlike Belos Toffee was beaten by a villain trying to change his ways.
Bad guys turning into puddles of goo right before death is hella cool tho
Belos wanted to purge the world from all magic and he's considered a villain in his series.
Meanwhile Star succeeds in destroying all of magic and she's considered a hero in her series.
Something doesn't seem right.
I remember seeing a fan comic of Belos wanting stars autograph and it's so fitting!

Earth in most media gets unlucky and at some point at least once gets attacked by another dimension or planet. Like, every dimension tries at least once ....oh

Now I wonder if Belos could have REALLY prevented an invasion from demon realm by attacking and sabotaging them from inside

Only difference is that toffe actually won in the end .
finally star vs the forces of evil have some recognition this 2023 make a parallel scene in the finale of the owl house
They stomped him out so fast lmaooo ☠️
The only similarity between the two is that for both goopy and weird
At least I’m not the only one who was thinking about this
In the end Toffee technically won since Star got rid of all magic. Belos got jumped about 5 times before dying for real this time
The reason I can't help but feel Toffi's death very dumb is because of how hurried it was, Star literally came back from the dead and killed him with one lightning bolt at the second, there was no fight, no drama, 2 seasons of development in a villain thrown away
Luz was also given a power up, but at least they implied that she not only won for the Titan's blood, but for her high knowledge in glyphs that she had throughout the series.
Well Luz just pull Belos and then he died from fucking stomping. There is no closure to his character story, no moral defeat. He is just killed in a every lame way. That cloud have been a lot better
Except Toffee's death was a LOT more impactful. What he said stuck through the end of the show. Belos' death was good, but Toffee just hit different.
Just imagine what Gabi does a terrifyingly awesome illusion to scare her "friends" and classmates Emma and Mandy in the Mariposa Harbor season 2 grand finale True Friends
