- Beautiful Alcudia by drone.
I was allowed to fly over the hotel's island at our hotel Lagomonte, (thanks for a fantastic week) before it was opened for guests in the morning.
I also got permission from the captain on the small ferry boat Hayley-B to fly close to the ferry and the happy passengers got an extra experience.
The lake area behind the city is much larger than expected.
2 zoom photos are inserted in the video, seen from the mountain top behind the city.

So just watched this drone vid 10/10 I may add,so I’m a lover of alcudia of x3 and always make sure of a mountain view in my hotel with the radio shack at the top,and also done the horse riding at base of the surrounding area,can you point me in the right direction to be able to get to the radio shack and see the amazing views my self,is it public? Or guided walk or something I’m returning here in July 2020 thanks Corey

Henning myself and the mrs always stay at the bq sunvillage in playa de muro its 1 of the best hotels in alcudia but i do hope we meet some day in alcudia for drinks at the castle del dragon

I found your hotel on google, nice location near Albufera.
By the way, we rented a bike and drove through Albufera, it was a really nice trip.
Lovely video Henning! I wish I'd have taken my drone with me back in May - I didn't want to risk any hassle at the airport. I've uploaded a video taken with my Note 8 on the Zhiyun Smooth-Q. Not quite as impressive as drone footage!

I understand your doubts, I was also in doubt the first time.
If the batteries are discharged to low battery warning and stored separately, then there are no problems - I have traveled 5 times without problems.

Wicked aerial footage over the BelleVue Lagomonte - I stayed there during my first visit to Spain/Alcudia in 2016 and the hotel has been done up nicely
I still have the photos on my phone and in 2017 I stayed at EIX Alcudia (now called Hotel Alcudia) and am staying at hotel Alcudia again in August 2019 🙂
What drone did you use for this video and will you be going to Alcudia again this year?
Okay you have stayed at Lagomonte too, yes it has been restored really nice.
I can see that EIX Alcudia / Hotel Alcudia is a very nice hotel too, so you will have a nice stay in 2019
We have not decided whether we are going to Alcudia again this year, as we find a good offer at short notice, but it is certainly an option.
The video is taken with a Mavic Air, which is very small and therefore fine for traveling.
On our last trip to Gran Canaria I had a Mavic Zoom, with zoom I can keep the required distance and still make close shots.
@@4naturelife Are you allowed to take the drone on a plane when flying or is it best to check first ?
@@brianmagicman3556 Yes it is allowed to have the drone in the hand luggage, together with the batteries, which must be discharged to approx. 25%
The batteries must be stored separately for safety reasons and should be stored in a LIPO bag (firesafe)
You can find more info about batteries on the airline's website.
Nice drone shot. is it allowed to fly a drone there? Or did you get a permission from the gov? If ever you flew a drone in a restricted area, is there a way they can trace you und force you to pay a penalty?
Thanks arbien, back then I could not find any info against flying there, but exact information can be hard to find, and sometimes they are not even in English.
From the mountain, many Paragliders often flew over the city and the sea at a great height, often 10 - 15 at the same time, but there were no Paragliders when I was up there.
We have similar places in my country where Paragliders and drones are allowed to fly in the same area, but the area is called an "area of attention"
January 1, 2021, we got the new common EU drone regulation, it should provide some common rules, but each country may still have the option of certain special rules.

Thanks, I used a Mavic Air, which is fine for travel because it is so small and light.
Now I use a Mavic zoom, which is a big advantage in many situations.
