  • For six months, people have watched Israel’s war on Gaza and heard words like genocide, apartheid and ICJ become part of the daily news lexicon. For some, it can be difficult to follow and fully understand.
Noura Erakat is a human rights attorney, an associate professor at Rutgers University and an advocate for justice and equality for Palestinians. Speaking on Centre Stage with host Rawaa Auge, Erakat explains the colonial structure of rule in Palestine and the UN’s mandate there.

Look at the humanity in other conflicts that no one talks about. For some reason there is 20 times more coverage of civilians dying in Gaza compared to Yemen or conflicts in Congo and Sudan. If it wasn't Jews attacking Gaza then no one would care.

Allah himself testifies that he has a son and he is the son as Christians understand it! Only the Koran writer was too ignorant to know what Son of God means! Allah's word which created everything is Allah himself too! *The Word Allahs which created everything is the Son of God according to Christianity!*

The ancient Romans pinned the name on the Land of Israel. In 135 CE, after stamping out the province of Judea’s second insurrection, the Romans renamed the province Syria Palaestina-that is, “Palestinian Syria.” They did so resentfully, as a punishment, to obliterate the link between the Jews (in Hebrew, Y’hudim and in Latin Judaei) and the province (the Hebrew name of which was Y’hudah). “Palaestina” referred to the Philistines, whose home base had been on the Mediterranean coast. The Arabs are not the same as the Philistines. When the British adopted the name Palestine, they also renamed Judea and Samaria as the West Bank. Palestine as the British called the land was made up of the Arab settlers and the remaining Jews and Jews who relocated before 1948 as the minority at that time. Jerusalem, the ancient city is Jewish by name. During the first partition plan, the Palestinian Authority refused to be called Palestinians because they are Arab groups. When the State of Israel was recreated, more Jews relocated to the land so did Arabs from neighbouring countries. When the Jews declared ISRAEL as a State, the Arabs having the better parts of the land refused a State of their own and the Arab countries declared war against Israel in order to wipe them out. The Arab countries had informed some Arabs to leave and promised them that they would destroy ISRAEL and then they could return to occupy all the land. When ISRAEL won the war, the displacement or the Naqba happened. Whilst the other Arab countries like Egypt made peace with ISRAEL and had lands returned to them, the Palestinian Authority refused to do so. This has resulted in the situation we have at hand today. The PA and Hamas profit financially from this prolonged conflict and certain Israeli leaders also profit politically. Yasir Arafat became wealthy as a result of this conflict and now the Hamas leadership is doing the same. Both Jews and Arabs live in peace in Israel. Let's all advocate for a two state solution where genocidal intents are not encouraged. Practically speaking, Israel is going no where, so is Palestine. How often does this channel condemn the real threat to this region? Iran's caliphate agenda. Lebanon used to be a peaceful christian country, see what it has become. Lebanon and Yemen is unstable but Iran gets away because of the bias in this region. What about the Kurds? Where were all these voices when Assad killed millions of Syrian Arabs? What about Sudan currently? Doesn't all lives matter?

they are not claiming self defence against Palestinians though, they are claiming it for Hamas which is a recognized terrorist organization. People just read stupid headlines without knowing the law. Self Defence against terrorists is justified and unfortunately most terrorists will use innocent children and women as human shields like they have in every region they operate. Wether afghanistan, pakitan, syria, its the same plan by them. The reason we do not have plane hijacks anmore is not cuz of security, it is because globally agreed no negotiation policy. This is just the same but far more extreme but it has to be done otherwise more organizations like hamas will utilized islam against their own interest. Muslim population sadly due to indoctrination cannot tell what is good or bad when evil people will use religion against them. They will forever be controlled. It's now good that Saudi and Iran, some people see all this and notice the harm that religion can cause and are slowly moving away from islamic roots and embracing the persian and arabian roots before islam came to destroy them. Remove religion from law, and you will have peace.

Every genocide in the world is framed as self-defence. When experts say this is a textbook genocide, it is not just a phrase.
    For instance:
Hutus were previously persecuted & carried a memory of past victimisation as well truly embodying ideas of future victimisation.
Attacks from Tutsi rebel groups furthered this complex.
Hutus massacred Tutsis because they held the self-righteousness of a victim fighting an oppressor.
They said over & over again they were just looking for militants, and all the other people were collateral damage that needed to be killed in order to kill the militants they claim are defending themselves from.
Essentially, replace “there will be peace when the (insert victim) decide to love their children more than they hate (the persecutor)” & you will know what Meir was saying.

Imagine bank robbers claiming self defense when they shoot and kill the security guard, nobody would accept that. Why would we accept it when the scale is bigger? It makes no sense.

I'm reading Miko Peled and that's what he witnesses in his visits to Occupied Palestine in 2005 and onwards. I love her views on the race-based system and colonial USA which continues today! The entire generation that refuses to be gaslit and rejects the oppression from governments at all levels is hopeful! Power to the People! Let's stay the course and make Palestine free!
