I have been very blessed to never get Covid because I don’t be exposed to lots of people on a daily basis and I stay away from crowds and I keep my hands washed and sanitized at all times 😷

Covid cases has been rising for the past 3 months because of the new variants!
I have been able to avoid Covid for over 3 years now because I still take precautions while going out in public 😷

Glad you're better. Do you believe people who are not vaxxed and boosted will have severe symptoms?

Nurse Chioma, do/did you have any lingering symptoms?
I’m on day 12 since symptoms onset (and positive test). The first 24hrs were the worst for me. Day 2 to 5 were bad, but more tolerable. Day 6-9 I was feeling better everyday.
However, the past 2 days (~day 9-11) I’ve felt really weak and tired. Also my throat and associated lymph nodes were sore.
I’m just wondering if this is not out of the ordinary. It’s been giving me a lot of anxiety.

I pretty much had a very similar experience as you. The only lingering problem I am having now is being easily forgetful of things

@@pc24681 Yes. I’m starting to feel better. It took about 4-5 days for my throat and neck lymph nodes to begin feeling better (from the onset of these symptoms). The first 2-3 days of the sore throat and sore lymph nodes were pretty terrible. Very difficult to sleep.
It was also causing a lot of neck/spine pain. I was worried I had meningitis. I would have gone to the doctor or ER if I didn”t feel so terrible! (I know that doesn’t make sense! But I just don’t think I could make the trip to the ER and sit their for a few hours.)
What seemed to help was I got some “original Listerine” and gargled with it 2-3 times per day.
Hope this helps anyone else going through the same.
(PS. My elderly parents also had COVID at the same time, but they took Paxlovid from their first symptoms and seem to have gotten over it much quicker. I had to stop taking it after my first dose because it gave me a really bad headache/migraine! I suffer from chronic headaches, and have rescue medication (aka triptans), but you can’t take the one I use with Paxlovid. So as someone in a lower Covid risk group, I consulted with my pharmacist and decided to not take the Paxlovid.)

@@WillieStrok3r Ok glad that you are doing well 🙏🏽
Also any ideas on how you caught Covid and is it your first time?
Is Covid worse than the flu?

@@pc24681 Yes, it was everyone in the household first time. I 100% got it from my father (he is the least cautious of us). He was coughing everywhere for like 3 days (though either than the coughing, he had the easiest recovery). Then my mother felt sick, so they took the rapid Covid test. Once they tested positive, I took the test and it was also positive. I took the test at about 10:30am (wasn’t really feeling sick at all), and by 7-8pm that night I was feeling awful! It has been worse than flu’s that I have had in the past.
I believe I read strain going around is super contagious. And while it may be less severe compared to some previous strains, it still is pretty awful.
Hope everyone stay safe and well.
