- I want to be seen in green! This New Model Home Tour features some of the best design tips in green colors that I've ever seen! This is the Amelia model by Taylor Morrison in the gated community of Lakeside in Apopka, Florida. The floor plan is spectacular but I also love how they have designed it with a definitive green pop. You don't see too much green these days in design, but this shows you how beautiful it can be.
The floor plan is a winner too with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths in over 2,700 square feet. That's a MASSIVE one story plan! From the builder: The Amelia is a one-story split plan home with a tandem-style 3 car garage. At the center of the Amelia is an open concept gathering room, dining room and kitchen. The area is bright and airy with plenty of natural light from over-sized sliding glass doors that lead to a covered lanai. A spacious kitchen island with prep sink oversees the gathering room so you can stay a part of the action. With all three secondary bedrooms located in the front corner of the home and the owner’s suite in the opposite rear corner, the owner’s suite is a peaceful retreat. The owner’s bath includes a giant spa-like shower, soaking tub, wide dual sink vanity, and a private commode. A place for everything and everything in its place.
If you’ve ever had the misfortune of living in home or apartment lacking storage space, you will breathe a sigh of relief with this Amelia plan. A 3-car garage has ample room for your vehicles, bikes, tools and those boxes holiday decorations. I was SUPER surprised by those door ovens! I'm sure I've seen them before but I really like them! I was thinking of how much better it would be to not have the door oven under the pan when you pulled the turkey out at Thanksgiving 😜

Omg. This is so me and my husband. Beautiful office that could double as a bedroom re: the closet. Love that hallway. The first bedroom has its own bath. The second bedroom use the hall bath. And the 1/2 bath for guests. Drop zone with desk. Pay bills as you do laundry. Love that space next to the dining. Can set up another table and chairs when have large holiday gatherings. Or perfect area for a bar and 2-4 barstools. Love the the outdoor kitchen. Need a pool though. 🤣. Lovely master and bath. Absolutely love this home and the price is right. And as usual love your commentary.

I have to say--Your style of selling houses is quite commendable. Others, who do what you do on CZcams, sound like they're half asleep and representing Ikea. I think we all know what a faucet does. Plus, you love what you do and it shows...continued success.

Love the placement of the powder bath. Not close to the kit or living room. Your guests will not feel self conscious using the facilities.
That's ALWAYS my first thought too! Sometimes that powder bath is right in the middle of everything and I think "I would NEVER use that!!!"
The house is gorgeous especially the master bedroom, I'm wondering can you add a pool also will there be enough yard to add a swing set for the kids plus to start a garden and also, how much is property tax and how a month, quarterly, or a year.
On most lots where you could build this home there would be room for a pool and a swingset and a garden. BUT, a one story home has a bigger footprint so depending on the lot you would definitely want to check first. Property taxes depend on the community but at this price point in that county, I would guess you would be $6,000-$7000 per year depending on your assessment.
This one is so beautiful with lovely design choices. Is there an option for a bonus room upstairs?
There isn't an option for a bonus room with this one 🙁

Yes! This home is available in another community which has a Winter Garden zip code, but a Lake County (Clermont) location... It is also available at Canyons at Highland Ranch which is one of my favorite communities in Clermont. I can help you find the perfect Amelia! You should call or text me! :)
Can you get a stand alone tube in a Taylor Morrison home
Hi Rinnelle! The answer is "it depends" Some floor plans in some communities have it as an option, but honestly it is getting less and less common to see any tub at all in the master bath!
The house is a beautiful the only downside they shouldn't put the master closet in the bathroom that causes mold.
It definitely can be... most plans these days have the closet at least NEAR the master. One of the things I often tell my clients is to consider upgrading the fans in the master bathroom to take care of any excess moisture.

This home starts in the high $300s in this particular community. You should always count on at least 15% more for design options/upgrades. So you would figure this one in the mid-$400s. They have this plan in other communities. Some start a little higher and many start around the same price.

So the office is a bedroom click bait
Well, it's an office that could be a bedroom if you wanted it to be. A room with a closet can be designated a bedroom by the property appraiser if it has a full bath on the same flloor... bur you can make any room anything you like. They made this one an office.

@@betsydonoghuewilson Yes. This model comes in a couple of different layouts. This one is a four bedroom. They have simply staged it as an office. The rule is that it is listed as a bedroom if it has a closet, a door and a full bathroom on the same level of the home. Hope that helps!
