You know what yh these guys can’t do right in the eyes of most. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. Madness. I love my club as much as the next man but we’re in the situation we’re in and we need to get behind the team. For the first time since they took ownership of the club they actually look like they are trying to fix the problems we have. Granted some of them are of their own creation though neglect, maybe even lack of knowledge in the sport itself but ultimately the level we want to be at is difficult to achieve when you are competing against teams that can spend close to and over a billion pounds on assembling a squad. It would be completely different if we were in the situation United are in. They have spent well over a billion pound on their squad since Fergie left and look where they are! £400m Ole has had and they are no better for it. There is clearly for the first time in years an obvious strategy laid out for the development of this team and it’s going to take at least 2/3 years to get back to being competitive with the big boys. In short give the guy a break. They said judge when all the players are in the team and since they’ve been in the team we haven’t lost. Let’s see where we go by seasons end before we judge them ffs!

Soccer is an English word coined at Eton I think and was the common term in England until the 70s. The game is Football but the sport is Association Football which is abbreviated into the common English slang "Soccer". Countries that have another form of football that is prevalent there commonly adopt the term, in fact as my school was a Union Football school our PE teachers banned the term Football in any reference other than Union and you risked getting a slap if you referred to Football as anything other than "Soccer" or "the round ball game" and that was in the 80s.

The squad now is unrecognisable: since Arteta’s first season in charge, we’ve changed 2/3 Goalkeepers, 6/12 Defenders, 6/8 Midfielders (!!) and sold 1 Striker… with an age profile of 20-23 years old when bought so that they can A. be moulded into Arteta’s vision, and B. have high resale values at the end of their first contract

OK, first thing I noticed is he understand football lingo "the ground we were Goin to is a tough away fixture etc" instead of using the Americans sayings like " the stadium we were playing at is a tough place to play and our next couple of games are going to be difficult" so he's deffinetly either been living in London and getting serious media training or he's always been involved with arsenal and bcuz of very few interviews people didn't know if he understands how big of a job turning arsenal back into a top club is going to be. Atleast he understands "football talk" that's a positive
