I'm sorry but if Craig Berube called out the core 4 for not doing their jobs then that's great! These guys are making probably more than any other players in the NHL and should be producing better numbers but they lack toughness. Sadly nothing will change until Shanahan is shown the door because he's a control freak!

If Berube gets the job & he is hard on the players it's needed & lets say hypothetically they succeed or go far in the playoffs under Berube as coach then it will have been worth it to have the coach have a shelf life.

I also disagree that players who haven't won the cup should be getting paid as if they've won it... ugh ugh first you win the cup then you get over 10 million.

see, I don’t think that Soucy should’ve got suspended or even looked at. The only reason why that’s crosscheck to the face is because of the cross check he took from Zadorov in the back and if he didn’t take that crosscheck then that crosscheck Soucy threw would’ve landed right in the chest of McDavid. Zadorov threw it and that lowered his body to make it available, but in the defense of Soucy he threw it at the exact same time that Zadorov threw his.

Own goals still count even though you did not intend to score in your own net. Similar to high sticking penalties where there was no intent to do so. A cross check to the face is exactly that, and is suspendable, irrespective of intent.
@@fabpete oh I agree with you both plays were dirty. There’s no question there. My question is how does Soucy get suspended if Zadorov doesn’t land his check first? Like it’s nothing new that cross checks happen like crazy in the playoffs to loosen people up, but if Zadorov doesn’t throw his crosscheck, the cross check is landing right in his chest without a suspension. So basically my opinion is if anyone was gonna get suspended on that play it was going to be Zadorov for putting McJesus in a dangerous spot

You’re assuming, of course, that Tavares and Marner will waive their no trade clauses. And even if they did, the Leafs would have to eat half or more of Tavares’ salary. Ya sure you want to do this?
