I really had no interest in having a tortem until I saw one at gabriellas with a new leaf unfurling. It was the cutest mess i have ever seen 😂 so I now have a tortem lol

  • @simplydee4522

I found 2 tortums at Walmart. The plants weren't in the best of shape but were the better looking ones. After cutting broken leaves and repotting them together, they seem okay. I'm glad that Spring is on the horizon to help their process. Thanks for the informative video🪴

I could not believe it, but I got 2 of these at Wal-Mart for clearance price of $5 each !!!! I'm a Philodendron freak, so I snatched them up ! Thanks for the info ! ❤❤

I found a tortum a week ago at Walmart in one of Costa Farms new self watering pots. Gnats were EVERYWHERE! I generally try to leave my plants alone when getting them home, but I left that one outside until I was able to get the old soil washed off! I refused to bring those gnats in my house! 😂

I kill my philodendron tortum, if by any chance I get another one I will follow your tips of caring for them thanks like always and keep up the good vibes

  • @kyrad6543

Oooh I see that like most of the Costa Farms plants, you actually got multiple tortums in that pot. I've had mine since 2021 and it is in my top 3 favorite plants. I love the way it unfurls the new leaves like little aliens. I was also pleasantly surprised that it does very well in my low humidity environment. I thought that with those delicate palm-like leaves, it would have a hard time with low humidity. But no. It grows like a beast. Since they are now so affordable, I think every plant lover should have one!

Great! I love my tortum. Recently took a bunch of cuttings and will plant a more dense pot (and give some away as gifts of course). My new leaves come out completely differently. I’m in Sweden but have decorating grow lights. Still, I get very leggy branches where a new shoot will grow out from beyond the new leaf, and then that shoot pauses and sends out another shoot to ultimately add another leaf. I have as many as three nodes between leaves. I’m putting the new planting in a different area with a little more light and maybe I’ll get the growth denser. I’m going to try a pole too! Thanks for the tip.

  • @marphylofficial

We are so happy to hear your plants love our product!

  • @sannaericditsler4034

Thanks for the video. I have never seen the tortum at a store near me. I live in Indiana and we are one of the last to see newer plants at big box stores. Maybe I will see one this summer. Pink princess is now available at Lowes here but that is not something I am looking for.

  • @LaPazBlanca

Hi Peggy, beautiful plant...I also use that fertilizer it is wonderful and love, love your bamboo plant stand!

  • @pinstripesuitandheels

This video was brilliant! You speak in a calm manner, have a warm voice, and you give excellent advice in a humble way. I mean, really humble, the humility that comes with knowledge, not the inauthentic kind of humility you sometimes see on CZcams.

  • @VickyHafler

I put my tortum on a pole and she’s under a grow light. I live in upstate New York and it’s very gray.
