- ICHIGO VS GRIMMJOW!! || Bleach Episode 121 Reaction. In today's Bleach episode 121 reaction, Ichigo is faced against the Espada, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez! After using the Gentei Kaijo, the Soul Reapers are quick in defeating the Arrancars. However, the battle is not over as Ichigo must now face off against one of the Espada! Even with his Bankai, Ichigo is no match for Grimmjow as he easily beats Ichigo to a pulp!

I get whatchu mean but plot armor isn't the proper term, plot armor is miraculous, seemingly nonsensical ways of answering a situation in the plot. This however makes perfect sense, because Aizen is a very calculative person doing things without his permission would likely lead to a call for return...Plot armor, in this case, would have been something more along the line of Ichigo somehow winning or defeating Grimmjow forcing a retreat

This fight with Grimmjow is in my top 5 favourite fights in bleach and it wasnt even that much of a fight. Grimmjow is just so awesome!

It's not plot armor, ichigo been getting his ass beat since the early parts of the series before now. The reason he survived those fights was do to the hollow inside him and the fact that Ichigo was getting stronger during or after the battles thus the same should apply for his fight with Grimmjow. Plus Grimmjow was toying with him.

Ichigoâs had worse fights so far including the Kenpachi and first encounter with byakuya, where he wouldâve died without interference

In what way was this plot armorđ. Plot armor would be Ichigo randomly gaining a power boost on some fairy tail friendship BS and forcing grimmjow to retreat. Grimmjow being stopped makes perfect sense because he did this without Aizen approval

Guys chill. He won't know what's going on until he reaches further in the anime. Also Ichigo's Bankai scales to base Grimmjow. He got a beating here because of his unstable spiritual pressure as mentioned by Ulquiorra.

I don't know why some of y'all are defending the plot armor statement when we all know what would happen if Ichigo's hollow took over. Grimmjow is literally my favorite character in the series, but I'm not gonna be biased and act like he would win against a hollowfied Ichigo. Don't listen to people on how Grimmjow should be pronounced, just listen to how the characters in the show say it and pick your favorite. Aizen at the end of this episode has the clearest pronunciation I think we ever get, so I personally use that.

There's reason why tosen bringing back grimmjow, you'll know it later. Bleach do this a lot, when you thought it doesn't make sense a lot of them actually will be explained either in some poetic way or from dialogue

Ichigo is not that strong compared to a captain at this point without the hollow. The fight with Kenpachi was plot armor. Byakuya kinda let him win after Byakuya was injured by the hollow, I'm sure if he was desperate to win he just needed to use kido to finish off Ichigo.
The bankai ichigo uses is not his true bankai.............ichigo has not reached his true soul reapers power....he only has a portion of his soul reaper power......... Only that little portion transformed his sword into a small sword which increased only his speed
But his true bankai power is changing reality............. Sadly we never got to see his. Ture bankai power in anime we can only find it on manga in the last arc thousands year of blood war arc
