- Sometimes a boat can seem like a great deal but if you're not paying attention, you may end up spending a lot more with the bargain boat than a more expensive boat. I live in California and saw this boat for sale in Florida. I got a really good deal but I didn't go over the boat enough or calculate what I'd need to upgrade. We just picked up an 07' VLX thanks for sharing these videos and about Gabes, looking to do most everything you did to your boat over time. I don't care about the newer older over priced boats, these boats are the best in my book.

Whats the link to the MR cooling upgrade? Also you ever have a issue with turning the perfect pass off and boat still thinking its on and have a dead throttle?
You can actually get (semi) smooth water on Perris? Was there frequently in the late 70's and early 80's. Never saw decent water, so we bought a Hobie Cat - catamarans were a big deal in those days, the wind chop and boat wakes didn't make a difference.
Do you know how to access the transducer on that model?

Bought a 7 y/o Nautique with 560 hours. Had it 15 years, put on another 500 hours, sold it for only $2000 less than I paid. Should have kept it .☹
Perris is my neck of the woods. I'm in Menifee. Might need the info on your gel coat guy at some point.

I try for months to buy a 2016 and up G23 had to be supercharged due our lake elevation (shaver lake). Couldn’t find anything or it was sold already. So I said screw it an order a Paragon g23 will be here August. 🤦♂️

Ride behind and in a Nautique. I’ll leave it there. Malibu is good but Nautique is on a different level. They are more for a reason. Performance.

Curious if your Boatmate trailer used a 2 bolt pattern (prior) vs the Fulton 3 bolt pattern. Great videos. I've been redoing my 2004 VLX

@@justincoats7236 Yes I will stick with my 1989 Supra Ts6m skiboat with a waketower and 1100lbs of ballast bags and a wave creator work fine. My initial investment was less than a 1/4 of the amount of Sales tax paid in alone for that Nautique G25!! LOL
@@dealerservices3095 I had a 90 Malibu Sunseter. 5 buddies and me were on the lake from 8am to noon. We skied, wakeboarded, barefooted off my boom, and tried to surf, not enough weight. I mean everyone was in the lake 4 times. 5 different drivers of the boat. Laughing out butts off. Their lawyer, uncle shows up with 2018 23' Super Air Natique, "Who wants to surf behind me?" We park the boat and get in with him. It was military, "Don't do that, don't step on the seat, don't...." I surf and they are driving at 13mph so it didn't really work. It was just funny how much more fun my old beat up boat was.
@@justincoats7236 My old Supra is not rated for much weight at all. Took a while to get the weight & placement right in the boat including wake creator placement. Mind you it's not 1/4 million dollar size waves LOL but me i'm my buddies have decades of surfing experience surfing the small Florida east coast surf LOL and we weigh less than 170 lbs each. So luckily so our boat generates small peeling waves behind the boat with enough power we are able to surf it. Yet it is pretty close to the boat though .By the way we are over 55 years old and firing off behind the boat and or surf every weekend still! The only rule in my boat is SHRED and bring gas money lol! Your right 13mph is too fast for my boat too.
