All credibility went out the window when you said âthis is the best sounding synth Iâve playedâ
Sounds cheap and nasty imo
You can tell he was told to say that.. lol ! This is hilarious. People thought behringer was coming to save the day lol ! The brass on this sounds like wet bumble bees drenched in chorusđ.
@@electrowayne2918 Oh yes, another Behringer-hate bot crawled from under his stone... *yawn*
I was surprised to when Jack said that.
@@henrikgerlach4765 I actually own Behringer products you simp.. I also don't lie to myself. But more power to you. If you think this sounds amazing and want to purchase. it .. @@Leviathan-mj8gi well yeah for sure. But you can still SELL stuff without ridiculous hyperbole. Because shops need credibility, no? I'm less inclined to buy something from somewhere if they don't come across as genuine in their promo material.
The end speech reminds me of a hostage reading out the demands of their captor.
Tom isn't gonna lose any sleep over this shit lol
The Demo at whole is actually not a very good representation of what people look at for the Oberheim sound. The sounds used and selected are actually not able to show of, what the OB is known for at all. Esp the Vintage modes have a pretty wrong sound for that demonstration. It is also funny that Jacks talks about "playing some PADs" now and not actually playing them to justice (very short notes for instance). That will not demonstrate a PAD well.
I normally like Jacks videos, but this is just not good for this Synth. It does not demonstrate its strength and we simply cannot find out if it is up to the job or not. This very generic sounds could have been done on any analog synth (for instance even the Deepmind could do them).
Also if you have a Pad sound .. play long notes please. A Pad sound has not a hart attack and is long playing chords .. not single notes, not quick chords or anything like that.
So maybe you want to look at some real OB-Xa videos (check out Matt Johnson's video on it) and then please redo the demo again with proper selected sounds.
The first kind of Oberheim sound is coming at 20:10 minutes.
I'm waiting for other examples to hear this synth, but if it really does sound like demonstrated here, this will be a hard pass for me, as it doesn't sound like an OB (which is secondary for me) and it doesn't sound nice, as an instrument (which is primary for me).
But overall, this is a terrible demo, and not much can be objectively deduced from it, so I'll wait for someone else to do a better demonstration of this highly anticipated synth to better understand what the instrument is all about.
Ask and you shall receive: czcams.com/video/xitEIzAsI7o/video.html
I had a OBX-a for many years. This synth sounds weird to say it politely.

This thing sounds exactly like an OB-Xa - and you know it. đ
Sound like shit to be honest
I donât think it sounds weird.
Yeah definitely not weirdâŠshite, yesâŠbut not weird.
I think Oberheim is very pleased with this demo. All of a sudden the price tag on their new OB-X8 seems fully justified. đ
Nah. Bro it costs more than a car, thatâs some bs lol
@@ageshero That must be some really cheap car youâre driving then. đ
@null Why is the OB-x8 crap? Just your opinion, because itâs not your taste? Personally I buy synth to play them and not as an investment object. I think the Moog One is cool, but too expensive and too âmodernâ sounding for my taste. But everybody has different tastes. I do like my Moog Voyager, which has been reliable for 20 years now. I do know there have been issues with the Moog One, so if it will be a great long term investment remains to be seen.
@@MacXpert74 This video on the UB-Xa might say otherwise: czcams.com/video/xitEIzAsI7o/video.html
@null LOL!!
If you listen to this with headphones it quickly becomes apparent that the majority of this demo was done with the unit in 'stereo' mode because the individual notes played (not chords) all alternate between being panned hard left or right and IMO that's what makes the audio sound 'off.' Panning individual voices in the stereo field is an Oberheim feature - it just seems over the top in this production unit. I'm still super excited to get my hands on one of these but in the years we've been waiting I've fallen completely in love with my VST's of Sonic Projects OP-X and u-he's DIVA. I love Jack's videos for the channel - always positive and entertaining. Can't wait to run this thing through my Strymon Mobius / GFI Specular Tempus / Source Audio Collider. Cheers fellow synth lovers.
I think it's a phase issue with the channels. I've had this issue in stereo going from L & R mono into a single sum input. Basically it sounds thin and shit like this.
The boys at Oberheim and Sequential must be laughing their asses off right now!
I don't think so: czcams.com/video/NfCjPOsqsb4/video.html&ab_channel=Behringer
Not really.
you people say/said that about any B synth ...
@@higgy7762 not really. I have a Wasp and think itâs great. I just love how Oberheim have completely stolen the show with the new OB. This clone seems lame in comparison.
@@patrizio7 sorry, I appologize :) But maybe we should not use this vid as 'reference'. Until now, every clone B made was soundwise 'near perfection' - rather within 'build tolerances' of the old analog devices than a 'fail'. It seems B staffed good engineers ;) I'd wait with judgement until the Uli-XA is available in the showrooms (if ever....)
Watched this after OB-X8 demos. It feels like drinking my favorite party wine after enjoying an expensive wine.
Was absolutely thinking similar. I mean, it'll get you drunk. So there's that...
I really like Simple Synthesizers, so the idea of a very simple focused item like this is pretty dope, i like the analogy lol.

I wonder if you will ever see one of these UB-XA dream machines...????
I was all in on this thing until I heard the demo of the OBX8. There is nothing else at this point.
czcams.com/video/NfCjPOsqsb4/video.html&ab_channel=Behringer here is another demo that sounds really good.
Litterally nothing else because this UB-Xa is not available, and probably won't be for several months still... But that OB-X8 is 3 times the price of this.
Blah, blah, blah... đ
@Robert Jameson LOL
Definitely no working hearing...
Wait to taste the $5K price on the obx8 :'(
Jack is great, love what he does with Stage Pianos, Workstations and Live Performance, however Synths are not really his thing, he's said so and there should have been an experienced Synth Professional with him.. Often the problem is sending Synths for demos to Stores or Influencers is not always the best, they're not Professional Sound Designers and whether you like it or not, it's the Sounds that sell Synths. Send it to Professionals first to voice, to show the range and diversity of Sounds and capabilities...then to the Stores to demo etc.
You no doubt could have harnessed some true thunder from this unit IMO still, not taking anything away from Jack. I can just visualize you giving this a ten minute play at the least and squeezing some great juice out of this one .
Yeah, I love Jack, but he's not a major synth/physics nerd.
This is another 2 osc, 2 envelope, 1 LFO synth. We want to hear what makes it exciting. How the filter reacts, how snappy the envelope goes etc
Like presumably most interested buyers aren't interested in comparing a triangle and sine wave...
So he made plain chords sound bad? Pad's... ok.
@@vaiman7777 we're not here for chords
Convenient timing with the new Oberheim announced đ€Ł I wish this was the real deal but honestly it sounds lifeless and nothing like an OberheimâŠ
From the very beginning of the video, it sounded strange to me...

The demos from a year and a 1/2 ago sound WAAAY better
Hopefully Jack had an issue with recording it or something...
What the hell happened?
The ubxa sound like a poly800 korg, not a Oberheim...3 years for that ?

Grin, since we're getting older, our ears..... :) I miss the top end, but the detuning of the OSC's sounds familiar to me
Nothing like one? Nonsense
It's fizzy sounding by comparison to Oberheim, but many will buy it
Can it also sound mellow and not overly driven and saturated? I can't tell from this demo.
Maybe you need to lower the VCOs volume into the filter sometimes.
The Synth King video demo from a while ago is more mellow and 1979-1983ish
Exactly. People are jumping to conclusions, thereâs clearly gain staging issues with the way he has it set up. Woops
@@bengalinsky4300 A demo should highlight sounds. Regardless of features, a synth's sonic capabilities are of paramount importance. Hardly jumping to conclusions if a synth being demo'd sounds truly awful. Supposed "pads" and "leads" being demo'd all sound the same; tinny, thin and weak. Supposed "bass" sounds being demo'd are lifeless and lack any punch. Possibly the worst demo i've ever seen. Regardless of reasons for the poor sonic demo, either Behringer should not have allowed the synth to be demo'd or Andertons should not have released this demo as it doesn't do either of them any favours at all. Shocking.
It's a shit demo
How are you recording the sound? is it a DI into an interface or are you recording the sound from the speakers in the room?
Are there trim pots on the side, or inside the unit, for panning the individual voices? I read somewhere that Behringer was including the trim pots that are on the original OBXa and OB8, but I can't see them in the video.
Sounds really thin... And i agree, normally Jack can make anything shine... Looks great but sounds weak as hell... Something wrong here... The Oberheim sounds absolutely immense. This certainly does not.
OB-Xa demos: czcams.com/video/mIz4OA_tUyk/video.html

czcams.com/video/NfCjPOsqsb4/video.html&ab_channel=Behringer
I was looking forward to this demo, but I have to agree it sounds really thin in this recording. Something is not right here..
Agreed this sound incredibly weak. I could make better Obie sounds on an old VA. This isnât even matrix territory much less Xa. I wonder if itâs a bad demo with bad presets, or they just missed the mark?
With the chip shortage it seems Behringer has resorted to sticking tortured cats inside their synths.
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
I heard an earlier demo from one of the beta testers and it sounded so warm and full. This demo sounds thin and crunchy, either behringer broke something in one of their revisions, or this Andertons demo has some issues in the recording chain / gain staging. đ€
Exactly. I had that prototype video in mind and was shocked how cheesy Jackâs unit sounds. Something must have gone terribly wrong.
Very first reaction:
What happened??
Yeah what the hell is going on??
The Behringer demos had a little reverb, this is mercilessly dry. Still, everything sounds like the filter knob is cranked way up. Also it reminds me of the vibe I get from my Summit when the oscillators are running in "too perfect" mode, before you add some pitch drift for the analogue experience
it sounds like the earlier beta preview was EQ'd, or Andertons did somethimng wrong in the signal chain, leading to it sounding EQ'd to a thinner sound
By pre-production unit, is it meant the final iteration? Cause it's not pulling up trees in this video.
That can't be how it actually sounds, right? I agree with other commenters that there were older demos of the work-in-progress project and it was nothing like this.
@Robert Jameson Hate and low-lifness is obviously what YOU specialize in... đ
No effects obviously. Synths need effects...

I've heard your demos of other synths and they usually sound great through my studio monitors. This sounds pretty thin. Would that be indicative of the actual sound quality of the synth or would you guys attribute it to the recording?
Define 'thin'
@@LFOVCF lacking in presence. Not full.
are the paddles playable? Or is it really rough?
The sound from this demo does seem a bit fizzy, whether due to the unit being pre production or an issue with recording set up, or both. Been looking to get back into owning a hardware synth for sometime with an eye on the korg prologue but have held off due to ubxa, as the obx series and oberheim sound are my favourite. But not too sure now from this demo. I did see another post on yt about some engineer guy with analogue background joining the Ubxa development team. Maybe there are still issues to iron out. I really hope they can nail the oberheim sound at an affordable price.
I think theyâve got Scott in (the chap youâre referring to) to work on the UB-X - the UB-Xa is âdoneâ.
The oberheim is known as a fuzzy synth but thatâs part of its charm..
But having said that I do think the signal is hot on the recording so itâs giving it a more distorted sound hopefully they will redo it
Yeah I think the fizzy character is definitely part of the whole OB sound.
This demo sounds thin and bad. My gas for the UBXa just dropped a lot.
@@ilkkarosma5528 Oberheim are known for being creamy mate not fizzy.
I have 3 oberhiem synths sat in front of me in the studio, all originals I purchased decades ago, and this Behringer sounds nothing in comparison.
However, one shouldn't be suprised at that.
If anyone thinks that these synths can be reproduced tonaly using Behringer components and circuitry then you might as well be pissing in the wind.
Never going to happen.
Not bashing Behringer, they are simply doing what Behringer do, and there deepmind 12 and some of there semi modular units like neutron etc are all great and practical enough at their price pionts.
But they are never going replicate the tonal colours or frequencies using there components and circuitry. Even the engineers who work on these copies have all said this. Using cheap leftover capacitors that are spares from past products do not and will not produce the tonal characters and colours for the filters and oscillators for a start. And they do that will all of there products, the B2600 is a very good example of this.
Doesnât sound like a OBXa at all. Damn it :-( to be honest it sounds a bit broken. Different so called vintage modes is a good idea though.
Sounds like everyone wants a totally different demo video lol.
Pretty much, if i was Behringer I'd make him delete this video. The other videos if the synth sound just fine. Sounds like a cheap vst here.
Perhaps drugs were involved đ
Fun review as always-Cheers!
Can this be used as a midi controller. Can the knobs and faders send midi to daw?
By authorizing this official Demo, considering also how many people have been waiting for this Synth for years, in my humble opinion Behringer has played 3/4 of the salesâŠ. I'm sorry for anyone who has seriously worked on this project, but (again) listening to this Demo, the Synth (to me) sounds like a fart!
You are so right. A drunk chimpanzee could have done a better demo. Sorry Behringer, choose wisely next time.
What happened to the full lush pads and that thick bass sound Oberheim is known for?

Having just played the OBX8 at Superbooth, I have to say this doesn't seem to have the same "tonal full-body punch" the new Oberheim has. As already pointed out, it seems a bit thin, at least in this video. But hey, for the price and the way it will look on a keyboard stand, I'm sure it will sell ok...if or whenever it gets released.

How heavy was? 60lbs like the OB-xa? Or closer to 30-45lbs like a hydrasynth?
Something is wrong here.. U said at the end that was the most powerful synth that u hear in your studio.. For the recording it is the thinnest one u had. If the product really sound powerful this don't make it justice at all. I think another video is required
Hate to say it. Demo is really bad. A supercut of this video would do well on a comedy show.
Minimoog, Taurus and Sub 37 owner as well as an Oberheim Matrix 6 and OB-XA owner and I think this thing sounds great and I'm looking forward to purchasing one. I don't give a crap whatever anyone wants to say about this synth. If it ever comes out, I guarantee this thing is going to be one of the hottest synths on the market and it's got to be very hard to procure one in the 1st year of production because everyone who wants to and is knocking it, they will not admit it but they are going to be throwing their money at Behringer as fast as they can. So go ahead and knock it cork sniffers! You'll own one (without ever admitting it) as soon as it's for sale. I don't care about the name on a guitar, or synth. I care how well it plays, how good it sounds, how easy it is to program and weather it's affordable to the masses! Everyone should have the ability to own one of their favorite vintage synths without selling your house, kids and wife just to get one!

@@TheOneMonk Here's what I posted to Jorb's video after Benn Jordan's video:
DeepMind -- "Architectural Clone" --- a lot of companies follow the popular archetype. Not trying to justify behavior, but ARP and many other companies "borrowed" circuits and might or not have been sued. The Moog ladder filter was copied with diodes or ICs instead of transistors. Same with guitars and most things ever made. Behringer does lack vision. First, they should have gone with Uberheim, but maybe Uber would sue. Not sure they will Trademark JORB. I hear about their alleged unethical behavior. They are missing the boat also. They have a capability to produce an "original" megasynth for cheap. I wish more of their stuff had preset memory. Full disclosure, I have several DeepMinds, couple Pro-800s and a Model D. Still waiting for UB-XA. $300 on clearance after 2 months, it sounds like
The best sounding synth youâve ever played in that room? Surely you jest. Is this a sponsored spot?
this channel is a shop, of course it is
@@boeiend100 fair, but thereâs a difference if theyâre being paid to say what Behringer tells them to say. Best synth heâs ever heard is an emphatic statement for someone who usually has credibility.
@@relatedideas I think the monitors they were using in the room were compensating for the thin and screechy raw sound. My guess is monitors that are somewhat bass heavy and positioned off-axis to his ears.
Hahaha
I listened to the 'UB-XA sounds by beta tester 'Synth King' video and for sure, it sounded fantastic. Maybe he messed up the recording?
This sounds a lot better on my monitors now, seems fizzy though, like its distorting? Hold down some chords so we can hear it, its not a rhodes or a piano
yeah, the section where there's 'pads' and the plays it like tis an EP...
Who's working on the damage control video, if even possible? The filter sweep was pathetic. I hope that was a mistake. Such a wise move giving the Oberheim name back and not putting it on this.
All the vintage modes are in mono ?
This sounds absolutely incredible, i hope this is what behringer is about to drop today!
For all the complainers,, just watch the Synth King demo and you are sold.
I'm not a musician and even *_I_* am sitting here thinking, "You music guys are probably wishing Behringer was around 40 years ago!". Behringer is obviously _modern updates_ on *classic synths* at a _fraction_ of the original price and a *_massive fraction_* of buying an authentic 'back in the day' 1980s analog synth! I predict that Behringer machines will sell like crazy!
Did they decide to copy the OB-12 instead of the OB Xa mid development?
You are trying to be funny? *yawn*
OB-12 is actually a very nice VA
The Ob12 sound incredible in comparaison... this thing is just a joke
The Ob12 is a superb sounding synth, he smash this ubxa
Seems like a super cool product, however for an amateur like me, I think the Take5 is good enough and maybe even better for my needs :)
Something has definitely gone wrong here.
from this demo the synth sounds thin, sterile and not really alive to me
In my teens 88/89, I played some poly aftertouch controllers not knowing what it meant. The modules I were given to sell at the time combined with my limited knowledge of the possibilities went under my radar. I didn't even realise the potential of aftertouch until around 97. I rarely even use it now although, this synthesizer seems to highlight the importance of expression in a synthesizer. I remember watching PSB on The Old Grey Whistle Test doing Opportunities with a DX1 and thinking, why does that sound so good? Now we can have it and for less than the price of a three bedroom semi detached house
This comment section is heating up!! I think they made a mistake not getting Daniel Fisher at SW for this demo. đ€·đ»
Been waiting for this release for a while, but am pretty disappointed with the sound demos.
Ooo, that vintage mode is so cool! So you can just chuck that on for all patches, yeah? Gets you a whole nother tone
i cant help but, compare with this UB-XA the DM12 looks soooo powerful and cheaper
Disagree... Almost totally different instruments. You'll not get here FXs block (I really complain about that!) but you'll get much more control over waveshapes... and surprisingly - a lot of options for envelopes (they are digital I suppose). You can't get a triangle wave out of DM12... Only for one voice (there is a trick) using the whole 12.
For me that lack of wave combinations was the point which made me to make the decision: not buying a DM 12(D) until I'll see a really bargain price. So I'll be able to play with it and re-sell without regrets.
@@KiR_3d hmm, I do not think. but i understand what you are talking about. but UB-XA is also very weak on the oscillator. if you don't mind digital and untuned software, the best synth oscillator I had was definitely the Modal Cobalt
Jack, a pad sound is not supposed to be played staccato. Lead sounds are not meant to be played as chords. Pads should be slow attack, evolving and with lots of modulation and sustain (edit: as well as a long release). Leads are basically the keyboard version of a guitar solo. Although it has a keyboard attached to it, this is an electronic synthesizer. Am I right?
No man... that isn't how music works.. those are just the generic ways people tend to make those sounds work . I use arps and pads sounds a lot .. some pads are a long pluck .. LIke piano with a lot of sustain
@@jetset808 : He is correct in the sense that certain patches DO sound best when played a certain way. But only the patch creator knows what they were intending.
@@DanglyLingham right. I gave Jack the benefit of the doubt, but I wasn't feeling it. Seemed like a bad pairing between the patches and the arrangements, didn't do the synth any favors, so it's impressive it still sounded good :)
@@jetset808 when I click on the timestamp labeled "pads", I'm expecting to hear pads. Imagine watching a bass patch tutorial but the person is playing in the upper ranges, doesn't make sense given the context.
@@raffitchakmakjian So true!, đ
I think the sound quality was not better in the room... no one in there felt a real excitement - you see it in their faces and you hear it in the interaction of the player with the instrument.. pretty hard job for a presenter not enjoying the instrument and being convincing at the same time. Of course the expectations on this one were really high after all the buzz and mojo is the only reason to buy an analog hardware synth like this in 2022 - this one left everybody wondering where it is..
Yeah, Jack is normally full of expressions & excitement with just the slightest bass note or sweep. Here, heâs just playing it. I donât believe it inspired him in the slightest.

@@fred1642 cool thanks - the preproduction units indeed sound great..
"versatile arpeggiator, comprehensive modulation option", what does that even mean ? does it have breakthrough technology too ? :D
Please compare this to an OB variant. This would be great to see. Also - the sounds played are not those that truly highlight OB character.
Iâm so glad I bought an OB6âŠâŠ..To think I was going to wait for this to be released.
OB-6 is a dream machine đ€đ»
Me too haha I think OB6 sales might creep up after this shambles!
I did the same thing... I needed "that sound" for a project I was working on and got tired of waiting and bought an OB6. I'm really glad I did.... it literally changed my desire to get any other analog synths!
I think you guys might be paying many multiples off of a poor presentation job here. Probably wise to wait.
There's definitely something weird going on with either the oscs or filter, I can't quite tell which. Some of those high-pass sweeps sounded really unpleasant. I'm not a hardcore Behringer hater by any stretch, but something definitely sounds off. I hope they can fix whatever's causing it before release.
I AM a behringer hater but even I can admit that their synths are often much better sounding than this.
@@HiLoMusic it's just a bad demo, recorded too hot, from a guy who is a great keyboard player but not a synth nerd. From this video, nobody can tell how it really sounds ;-)
Sorry. Sounds bad thin like paper. Maybe its just the demo? Probably rushed to get it out. Maybe the obx8 caused it. I suggest uli will make a different demo, i cant believe its sound that bad.
But. Talking about the oberheim costy but sound unbelievble. I want one.
Anyway theres oakso the option of the sequential ob6 that sound great
Nice presentation, but thereâs something wrong with the sound and with the stereo image. Please fix it
Its been a long time since I owned an OBXA but this certainly seems to bring back memories.
...of how much better the original sounded?
Memories of buying a cheap VA? Sounds nothing like the Xa here.
Donât shoot Jack. Heâs just the UB-XA player.
He's not a player or a musician, he's a salesman
Don't kill the messenger.
đđđ
@@tomphillpotts actually he is a keyboard player! This is not his greatest moment for sure but he is a player!!!
@@mechanicom He is passionately with guitars as well.
@@oskie66skye didnât know that. Heâs definitely talented and shame heâs been bashed on here.
Hey! Does it have a modulation matrix?
pffff, we wish
Something is off in the recording of the synth. Jackâs voice track sounded clearer and more up front than the synth. Seems maybe they got the L/R leads crossed and thereâs phasing thatâs cancelling out the sound? I got that sense In the staccato playing. The sound did not trigger right away and the rhythm was off because of that. Did he have a patch that had a longer attack so it didnât trigger soon enough for the staccato? Also, based on his reaction when Jack was demonstrating the filter resonance decay, it seemed he was hearing something we did not. Like he was hearing that low end umph that did not come through on the recording. Only when he got to the stereo spread did it start sounding like it should (or like we would expect), but it was still not rich enough. So, like I said, there seems to be phase cancellation in the recording. Or was it unknowingly being sent through a high pass filter? After 2 previous demos from beta testers that sounded amazing, I canât think that this is how the sound is now. If Andertons discovers there was something wrong in the recording, they should definitely do a redoâŠand one without the staccato playing that does not warrant this synth. Also, give an example of the poly aftertouch, not just mention it.
đ„How do you say âsounds like do-doâ in Portuguese.
Andertonâs must shift a lot of Behringer products for Jack to sell his soul and say this is the best sounding synth heâs ever heard⊠had a lot of time for them in the past and bought a lot of gear from them too⊠canât wait for his demo of of OBX8 to see if he revived is opinion
ItÂŽs strange how many people are so excited that they donÂŽt even notice the slight nuance of "the best sounding synth I had the chance to play IN THIS ROOM".
@@acdnrg OB6, Prophet 6, Moog One⊠I believe heâs played them allâŠ. This thing doesnât come close!
@@pauly2929 Prophet 10 rev 4 is the best sounding synth he's played in that room I believe!
@@pauly2929 I tend to agree. I just noticed his statement sounding close to an "overly specific denial" or, in that case "overly specific praise". Meaning: He may have played better sounding synths, but in a different room. Or better synths were played in the room the UBXA is sitting in, but not by him. Anyway, sound is one thing, haptics is another. And from what I see in the video, IÂŽm not sure how the buttons feel, yet alone the keyboard. Especially if compared to other models. So IÂŽm suspicious. Will give that box the benefit of the doubt and take a closer look, but outside "nostalgia and namedropping", I think there is reason or two why other companies feel confident to ask for higher prices in their synths. "you get what you pay for" is probably not ALWAYS true, but most of the time it is.
Buzzing fan on the back - we meet again!
There were previous demos of the UB-XA and there was that classic analog Oberheim bite and growl in it. I hope it's just the demo.
it sounds thin compared than the original
Might be on purpose..
Its weird coz as someone else said in the comments the synth king demo is very warm and pleasing.
the synthking demo is heavily EQ'd, if YT demos of the OB-Xa are anything to go by as a reference, but even then, this sounds like it was EQ'd to sound a little thinner than the real thing, plus too much fizzier
@@Jason75913 my demo is straight from the synth line out into the audio interface. No EQ, no compression, no mastering. There is a quite huge reverb on the lead sound in the middle part. ThatÂŽs it.
@@Bernd_Bruening Thats great to know, your demo sounded really nice, what do you think happened here, sounds like a different instrument entirely, Thanks.
Congratulation Jack!!!!! you are the new Akai Dan!
That's what I said!
While I appreciate there is obviously going to be a huge difference in price⊠My comment purely on sound, and there is no comparison to the OB-X8. In fact, I donât think any of the presets sound remotely like my OBXa either? On a positive note, I do think as a polyphonic synthesizer (on a specific budget level) the synth will definitely be popular and has some huge potential. I just wonder, if Behringer had not modelled it on a vintage classic, and just called it the â B-52â or something of their own making, would it create so much interest and sell as well? Therefore, I would analyse more deeply what it was I would be really buyingâŠâŠ
