      Hi, does this unit need 220V, or will it work on 110V ?

    We bought one. Can you do a video on the operation of the machine? Set-up, turn on/off, wiring, best practices?

      Hana. Have you still taken interest in this model? I know it's been a year since you've commented, but it sounds like you're interested in roasting your own beans for sale. I'm actuality thinking of buying this one in the next few months here in the U. S. to start my own brand. Compared to other brands, I think this one is the one due to the comfortable price point, ease of use, and smooth mechanics. I'm actually sourcing my beans out of Ethiopia(Sadamo), made a contact there already from from my many visits in Addis. Maybe you can help each other and you could assist me with some info for future purposes. Maybe I can assist you in some way of getting one there as I coming to ethi soon. These guys do ship internationally though and he mentioned shipping once to new Zealand for a decent rate already so ethi shouldn't be a problem. Reach out to me if you would. Thnks..

    Are these hard to operate for a newbie roaster?

    • @coffeecraftersllc
      @coffeecraftersllc  Před 2 lety +1

      These are roasters are great for people just staring out on roasting coffee! Most of our customers have little to no roasting experience and these Artisan roasters are designed for easy use. On average, it only takes our customers a couple of roasts to feel comfortable on it. Roasting on our machines really is as easy as turning on a switch and watching it work!

    Is it possible to smell the coffee as it roasts?

    • @coffeecraftersllc
      @coffeecraftersllc  Před 3 lety

      Yes, you will smell the coffee as it roasts. The exhaust blower will collect the fumes and smoke that is released while roasting but some of the smell will escape.

    How loud is this? Are you using a lapel mic in this video?

    • @coffeecraftersllc
      @coffeecraftersllc  Před 3 lety

      Yes, I do believe a lapel mic was used while shooting this video

    • @anickmarieweed4343
      @anickmarieweed4343 Před 3 lety

      The roaster isn't very loud but depending on the exhaust blower you choose will depend on noise level. The Dayton blower is the quietest of the one's recommended (around 62 decibels or so? The manufacturer - Grainger - should be able to tell you). You could also build a simple sound proofing box if the blower is still too loud.

    not working with 110v?

    • @coffeecraftersllc
      @coffeecraftersllc  Před 3 lety

      Our roasters require at least 240v. It is the same used for a standard cloths dryer in the US. We often tell our US customers that they could use the same plug in that they use for their cloths dryer if they get the same power cord.

    So this is all electric?

    • @coffeecraftersllc
      @coffeecraftersllc  Před 2 lety

      Yes! Our roasters use electricity to heat the beans on a bed of hot air. Because they do not use gas at all it produces a cleaner roast.
