- This is want I found regarding lucky bamboo!
The meaning of lucky bamboo plays an important role as a living example of the feng shui elements of water, wood and earth. When you place this plant in the correct pot, it can introduce fire and metal to complete a balance of the five elements. This plant is one of the most recognizable and popular feng shui cures. It's an easy care plant that can survive in any kind of light. Feng shui principles claim that bamboo attracts auspicious chi energy. Since the bamboo plant is strong, it can energize your home.
Much of the luck that is associated with bamboo comes from the number of stalks bunched together or woven together into an arrangement. The number of stalks determines the kinds of energy the plant attracts into your home and life. The more stalks in the planter, the greater the blessing of good fortune and luck.
Lucky Log
This is a certain kind of bamboo that looks like a log with no roots. You'll want to place one end in water so it can grow leaves and continuously produce new leaves. Lucky log bamboo is symbolic of a strong life that's filled with prosperity. This plant is a favourite for businesses to give as gifts, especially to other companies since it promises to keep the business growing. Some varieties produce fragrant white flowers in addition to the healthy green leaves.
Two Bamboo Stalks
People often send two stalks of bamboo as an expression of love. This number also is said to double your luck.
Each curve takes 18 months to create.
Three Bamboo Stalks
The plant of three bamboo stalks is one of the most favorite number combinations to have in your home. It brings three kinds of luck to you:
Happiness: Fu
Long Life: Soh
Wealth: Lu (Career promotions)
Four Bamboo Stalks
In the Chinese language, the word used as four sounds very similar to the word used for death. The number four has the same kind of connotation and draws sha (negative) energy. You'll never find a four-stalked bamboo plant in the Chinese culture; much less ever give one for a gift. To do so is extremely rude and would be interpreted that you're giving the recipient a death wish.
Five Bamboo Stalks
With the number five, there's one stalk for every area of your life that can bring you wealth. The overall energy attracted to a five bamboo stalk plant is one of health, which is needed to benefit from any of the five areas of your life. You'll want to have a healthy career, healthy relationships, and more. The five stalk bamboo reinforces each of the five areas of your life that can influence the level of wealth for each area.

This is the symbol for good luck and bestows great luck to whoever receives a nine stalk plant.
Ten Bamboo Stalks
If you have a ten stalk bamboo arrangement then the wish for you is to feel complete and complacent. The hope is that you find your life to be perfect. The sender wants you to have everything in life just as you envision and desire.

If someone has gifted you with a plant with this number of bamboo stalks, then the well wishes for you and your family are being delivered in a very powerful overall blessing for great wealth and enduring health.

My lucky bamboo is root bound and I want to put it in a bigger container, do I keep it in water or put it in soil. I would prefer to keep it in water but am unsure how to go about it and not hurt the roots. Can someone help?
Interesting story of the lucky bamboo. I've always thought about getting them but I didn't know very much about them. I'm glad you shared this video. I like the way you displayed it . Very nice, thank you .

You should do a update I’d love to see how big your bamboo has grown!😍
Hi, Yes I wish I have the update for you all, but no, I am afraid to say that it' died :( As some of you pointed out, the tap water was not doing well to the Bamboo, so it died. And because my Bamboo didn't like tap water, and died that was a key awakening from me, that tap water is not doing good for me either, so no tap water in to my body or my house plants! Thank you for your time to watch my video, thank you for your support!
I didn't know the meaning of the plant, my mother bought me one about 11 years ago. It has a lot of leaves now! I will have to count the bamboos!! very nice video!! xx
+stephyclaws Glad to hear that you have a very strong and healthy bamboo plant:) keep looking after it!! xoxo
My mum got one for me, my auntie and her mum :) xx
How long does a bamboo last in water also how do you plant in dirt or can ya keep in water should you also put in a bigger vade or doesn't it matter as thought maybe it grows faster in bigger vase with water as mine is in a little vade thanls
I like the idea of the wine glass but I have a bad cat that likes to knock stuff down. Cute though.
same here lol
Hello can the bamboo stay inside the house if he's hot. Got a little bit of sun in the morning but in the mobile home is hot is not problem or is a problem?
Brown Eagle you keep it out?? Really?
Keep it indoors away from direct sunlight...even a artificial light can work good for lucky Bamboo...and
Lucky Bamboo prefers warm condition...no hot no cold...not at all cold... I hope that helps. :)
Use purified or distilled water the tap is killing it!
Hi, yes indeed, tap water killed the Bamboo sticks after a few weeks, I have to try next with distilled water, I bought a distiller last week. Thank you !
I hope it's helping your plants
Hi
You should never water a lucky bamboo with tap water.
Thanks good to know. I will use rain water.
Whos watching 2019 and one answer is it ok if i put tap water? If no what water does the bamboo plant need?
Hi Happy New year, distilled water it the best! Good luck!
Ok thanks.
Lucky plant 👍👍
It's dying. Don't use tap water unless you put it in a container for 24 hours! That's why it's yellowing.
krislyn Wilson what sort of water is best for them? x
Mia I was distilled water
krislyn Wilson thank you
Definitely the best possible water for any plant is natural rain water, I either collect it or I put the *Dracaena* *Sanderiana* outside when its raining in a safe place with large stones around the pot to help it from tipping over. although I grow mine in soil which would benefit more from being out in the rain than the water grown ones.
can I leave my lucky bamboo in my bedroom
please answer
Yes but make sure it doesn't get too much sunlight!! Also the bathroom is good
thanks
okay😐
mohamed alaa I suggest don't leave it in broad sunlight, a darker place would be a better environment for the plant.
Brianna Gomez not darker but little light is needed too...but no direct sunlight that can cause yellowing of leaves and algae formation hence root rotting.
