Loved it a few years back when Chase beat the Dillon brothers in some races in Xfinity and they were crying, (like normal). Brings back memories of Earnhardt Sr complaining about how fast Bill was.

Richard if you have not gone to a race you should go to a race and have one of the team's let you feel the car when it is running. It would be amazing for you to feel the power in that car!

Its so funny....One of my most enduring memories of my pop is going down for a meet and greet at the Elliott's shop there in Dawsonville....We skipped church on a sunday to go,My dad was a HUGE Bill Elliott fan...Myself i was an Earnhardt guy.....My late father would be getting the biggest kick out of the fact i am pulling for an Elliott in a 9 car in this day and age....But the kid has it all to be the next big superstar of this sport.....Along with Blaney and Bubba (if he can get in a quality ride)
Like you I respected Bill but was never a huge fan of his. I was the #3 all the way. I believe Chase is filling a void that us older supporters need.
I am too young to have experienced #3 or Bill Elliott but when I look back I'm a fan of the Earnhardt's and the Elliott's and that's what made me a Jr. fan and a Chase fan and he is always chasing wins every day
I was performing an arcelogical dig through the comment section and thought I'd proffer my opinion. Whilst Chase is the full package he has talent and that clean easy going empathy of others before him and Blainey has a more lary image to build followers and a career with. Bubba's openly fragile emotion only appeals to a small minority and I feel affects him far too much for him ever to have a successful career. I don't think he will get a ride with the top teams as they will be wary that such an emotional driver can perform constantly. Sorry but his racing days in the top tier are numbered.

Don’t know how I’ve overlooked this conversation for so many years. Haven’t read all the comments so this might have been mentioned. It’s humility-I’m not better or no worse than anybody else. He isn’t CHASE ELLIOT!!! He’s just Chase. Definitely in his DNA to just be a guy who happens to be good at going fast in a stock car. He’s grounded and appears to still be that way even now as a NASCAR Champion. Needs to be said that it has a lot to do with how he was raised and how humble his dad is and none of this happens without the support of a loving and supportive wife to Bill and mother to Chase. Never had a desire to meet a driver but I’d definitely like to hang out and go flying with the Elliots.
I remember when bill came to Chatsworth and ran late Models. Then years later I saw lil chase run at the go kart track.
Definitely need to come back to those places.
Chase should be paired with Chad Knaus as his crew chief. I TRUELY believe that they would be unstoppable in the cup series!

NO.....Gustafson is better for Chase...Knaus is getting over the hill.
Knaus is a good fit for a guy like Byron, they will get better over time..but Alan and Chase are a perfect match we don't need to change that
