I didn't know who is Vetrimaaran till I watched ASURAN then after that I Watched his All 5 Movies.
    ASURAN
    VISARNAI
    POLLAVDHAN
    AADUKULAM
    VADA CHENNAI
Believe me all his movies are Awesome and DARK.
He is Legend. Many north indians dont know about him.
I am Big Verrimaaran Fan after watching his movies.
And one thing is very common in his movies that is DHANUSH. In all of his movie Dhanush is main lead except Visarnai. But in visarnai he is producer of movie.
Watch this movies guys this Director is master in Dark Genre.

Of course the above mentioned are real thrillers If you dig up more in south India you will find plenty more. But since I never miss any movies or series in Crime genre let me tell you one thing. People will say Drishyam is the best thriller in Malayalam. But I would say for me it's an old classic movie called "Utharam". And a thriller series with perfect blend of psychology, Science and Religious myths " Asur " is the best from not only bollywood , among whole Indian series. So my point is, you can't underestimate Bollywood that easily..!

I had to stop watching *Helen* because I feared it would turn out horrible - like with her death. Not sure I can watch her suffer, but I’m more apt to finish it now that I know she survives.
I had no idea what the movie was about, when I started watching it a few mos. back. I was looking for a nice, sweet, relaxing distraction from normal life and the branding was so cute with her adorable little face and uniform.
Well, it was definitely a distraction, but I got so stressed I just had to stop. Haha.

Because we, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali etc don't have the huge budgets of Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, we have to think differently to make unique and different movies using small budgets. What we have is talent aplenty and an audience that appreciate that creativity which compels in that direction. Also if we try to do what bigger industries does, they will always do better with bigger canvas.
