RDR series is the best in terms of story, atmosphere, detail, world building, realism, bar none. But I think in terms of pure action and entertainment, Uncharted is great. That definitely doesn’t mean the RDR games don’t have good action, but they also focus a lot on story, writing, exploration, etc, whereas a game like uncharted lacks in all of those areas but just excels in having a ton of over the top action. I don’t even remember the story of any of the games (I played 1-3), but the action was cool. RDR1 and 2 on the other hand, I will never forget.

I play on Xbox but before I had an Xbox One I played on PS3 and played uncharted 1-3. They were definitely some of the defining games of my childhood, because at the time I didn’t care about good stories in games, just cool action scenes, and uncharted has no comparison in terms of suspense and action.

Yeah, as far as action games go, Just Cause is a blast. I loved grappling onto fighter jets and blowing shit up in mid air. I don’t even remember if there is a story because it was that unremarkable, but in terms of pure entertainment, it’s awesome.
