- We’ve seen some wild college superteams over the years. Anything short of a national championship is usually considered a failure for these teams. Here are my top 5 superteam flops in college basketball history.

UNLV was NOT a flop. They actually won a title over the same Duke team (beat them by 30 in the title game) that beat them a year later, 79-77. If you win a ‘chip with the same roster you’re not a flop in my opinion.
I thought 2015 title was won by Duke with Okafor after the badgers beat UK and then lost to Duke.
It was, UK lost in the final 4 to Wisconsin
I’d put 2018 duke on this list as well
Couple of things. The 2015 Kentucky squad lost in the Final Four to Wisconsin that year, not the championship. And as for the 2010 Kentucky squad, you said they lost in the Final Four, however, in the video, it shows them losing to West Virginia in the regional final, making them being eliminated in the Elite Eight.
watching this, I somehow understand why this channel doesn't get many in statistical terms. The planet of USA.
I feel like 2015 Kentucky should be number one on this list, but I get the point of putting the Fab Five at 1.

making the final four is never a flop. the only thing that can be claimed as a flop is losing in the first or second round, and even then only for the one or two seeds. its not the NBA, there are no seven game series and many of the teams have no regular season experience against each other. even if you are far and away the best team in the country, it is unlikely that you will win six best of ones in a row. nothing is expected in march madness.
I’m not sure if the final four is a flop, yeah ucla didn’t win the natty but still made a final four. When I hear of a team flopping I think of teams not being good or being just barely good enough to make the tourney
Agree with everyone who says making a Final Four can’t be considered a flop. Also not sure how you’re defining a ‘super team’. Like 2008 UCLA? Kevin Love was the only guy who came in as a sure fire one and done, Westbrook wasn’t that hyped as a recruit and started getting attention at the end of his freshman year. I definitely think of superteams as more like 2015 Kentucky, 2019 Duke, where you have multiple highly ranked and anticipated guys coming in at the same time.
bruin here. i wouldn't say it was a big flop. Memphis was actually favored this game and while you bring up CDR and rose, that memphis team was stacked with dozier and joey dorsey.
that said, all bruins know howland shouldve put westbrook on rose but didn't do so. not saying that would've changed the result but we wouldn't have lost by 15.
