After achieving the greatest accomplishment of her career, Kamala Harris has not found a way to make her political persona stand out in the US vice-presidential office: the intensifying immigration crisis, personal accusations and an apparent disappearance from the public eye have taken their toll on her popularity.
However, Harris appears to have begun efforts to rebrand her image through increased engagement, resulting in a steady growth of renewed support that has already dared to position her as the key to preventing a possible Trump victory.
But why do many already see Harris as the key to a new Democratic victory, and how does she intend to get out of the rut of her apparent irrelevance within the Biden administration?

There's only 3 reasons she's "despised". She's actually quite popular, but since the US is trending towards "anti-woke" and anti-DEI & other dog-whistling Jim Crow-esque phrases, of course, if you "love America" you have to hate Harris.

@@jquest3329 I think because everyone rallied around Biden for being the best choice against Trump. Most ppl weren't picking who they wanted; just not repeating the 2016 blunder. Plus, as much as we want to deny it, a lot of our reactions to and opinion of certain politicians and celebrities are based on what the media feeds us. Kamala is disliked just as M Markle is disliked - because every time you click on an article, there's something disparaging about them & any time they've done anything positive, it's written as dry and concise as possible. So, Harris can do 100 good things and get 2 articles about them, but 2 "unseemly" things get 100 articles. As politicians go, she's really not as bad as she's painted. Ppl don't like her but "can't put their finger on why" or can't articulate that she's done anything differently than the politicians they do like usually means they've been bombarded with negative press about her and has internalized it. That's not even touching on implicit bias.
Fuck no. She hasn't done a single thing as Vice-President.

There are large communities of Jamaicans and other Caribbean countries in the US, but they are still referred to as African American. Too many labels, basically they are just afraid to say non-white person. African Americans basically covers blacks descending from slavery that do not know from where they originated and were born in the US. Africans with a nationality could put their countries name before 'America', but they'll still be called African American when someone calls 911. I love all you Earthlings, well, most of you.

I think people don't understand how powerless the Vice Presidency is. She can't do anything that could distinguish herself in that office beyond what the President gives her. It has always been that way. John Nance Garner, Franklin D. Roosevelt's first Vice President, said the Vice Presidency is "not worth a bucket of warm piss". Her job is to stay behind the President. Her gaffs didn't help much either.

As a lifelong democrat that moved to a republican state, I got to say that we ive in 2 different worlds, and the losing side is the liberal states.
The mismangement by the democrats is going t cost them not just the presidential election, but all elections.
They tax you up to your neck, only to spend your tax dollars on dancing classes for african americans, or pay your tax dollars to the companies that manifacture electrical car charging stations. These chargers do not work, and if they do work, they will be charging rich people's Teslas.
Gas prices are up the roof. Their answer is " We are trying to discorurage people from buying gas cars" . Well, not everyone can afford a $80,000 electric car !
A New Yorkan pays $5,000 a month for a small apartment sees an illegal immigrant stays at a hotel for free, then assault a cop and the judge let him walk out free. That is not good for the democrats.
Even though the government had a little bit of control, food companies keeping hiking their prices and keeping shrinking their food. At least you as a politician you have to put pressure on these companies to adjust pricing and portions. A visit to the store should not cost an average American 3-4 days worth of work !
The red tape is also a problem. It should not be a nightmare to build a house. The reason we have so many homeless population and home prices are up, because we ran out of inventory. Investors are scared to build homes because of the red tape that municipalities placed for new home building.
There are thousands of other reasons that I can mention, but now I see why red states stays red, and blue states might turn red in the future !
A person from New York is called a "New Yorker”. Also, there are tons of apartments in NYC below $2000 if you look outside Manhattan. I have always had to pay for my dancing classes myself. That’s just 3 of the many ignorant misrepresentations stated above, but I have better things to do.

The US has massively improve its fortunes in the last couple of years, the economy is doing well and America's global standing has been repaired far better than I thought was possible back in 2020. Joe Biden and Kamala might not be worth much but their administration is been a resounding success, especially given the situation they inherited.

The office of President is also about the experience and quality of the people they place around them to support them. The way that Biden uses Harris is way that Obama used Biden when Biden was vice president. That is doing a lot of the grunt work and out of public view work that presidents need to do. I think getting a lot a experience and knowledge necessary for a president
