Your garden is looking amazing!! Keep up the good work! I grew up all my life growing gardens and animals. When my husband and I got married we got away from it because that’s not the way his family did it. Now the more things I grow he is getting excited about growing more things. So thank you for the inspiration and the way you have done it since it is practical and always with raised beds.

OMG! I LOVE your garden area. I love the fact that it's all fenced in. What I wouldn't give to have this setup. Every year, no matter what I try (within my financial ability) the deer come in and completely devastate my garden. What they don't eat (which isn't much) they add insult to injury and just trample what is left. 😭
    Your garden is gorgeous

I used to use vinegar and salt. It works OK but it’s kind of like the short term round up it worksWith a couple of applications but it grows back eventually. You have to use too much of it and it’s no cheaper than weed killer. If it’s a driveway or an area like that where you want nothing to grill you can just pour a bunch of rocksalt on there like you would on an ice covered driveway and that salt will keep stuff from growing for a while.
Fire is always fun. When you put your mulch down you should throw a few random firecrackers in there just to keep it interesting. ;)

Hey Andrew! I know what you mean, I hate using chemical weed killers, however I do use those applications on our 1/4 mile stone driveway as bad as I hate it. Behind our home where we have a stoned area I use the vinegar/salt/dishwashing liquid then torch it with propane. This is due to us having multiple bird feeders as well as humming bird feeders. Not only do bird but squirrels as well end up eating from the ground. I would hate to think I led to a slow poisoning death of any (I’m not above a quick death for squirrel gravy of dove poppers) but I don’t like anything that hurts an animal slowly. That being said if I don’t want that going into a animal I definitely wouldn’t want it going into me or any other human. I grew up hand weeding & hoeing our garden. I refuse to use any man made weed killers around my garden. Thanks for the video 👍🏼

I really do have a hard time with my garden, because I raise BEES. Without the help of commercial herbicides and pesticides it's a pain. I never thought about it until I got bees, but after tons of research I've found that seven dust which is what most gardeners use is one of the most toxic chemicals to Bees. When the Bees land on the plant to do their work the powder gets stuck on their pads and they carry it back to the hive and bam,a whole colony gone. I've bought and tried almost everything and the majority of it doesn't work. As a beekeeper,I really appreciate you looking for other ways to get results, but it's a major pain. Thanks, Bee happy.
