Yes, it’s a 12 plait flat braid.
Beautiful whip looks amazing. Did you use 1 keeper loop or 2? Nylon stock whips are the best I started making them and I love them

Dumb question. Do you have to double the length of the 275 cord when you plait it for a stock whip over the 550 paracord lengths
Double the plait number not the length.

Yes. So instead of one 10’ piece of 550, you need two 10’ pieces of 275.
How many bellies are in one? How many have a flat braid for the keeper?
It has one belly under its 16 plait overlay. So it has 2 keepers in the thong.

They are 5/8” wooden dowel rods with a 32 plait on it.
what is the plait in front of the herringbone on the part you hold of the handle and also what is the thing were it is normally a swirl on the open end of the turks knot. thanks your alot of help coudn't make whips without your videos.

No, I do not use lead. They should be around same weight as his 275 cord whips, unless he changed something and didn't tell me.
