  • There are actually more types of whips that this.
To see a few other types, you can check out some of my other videos, including those that show some traditional whips from Europe.
There have also been different whips developed for martial arts and variety artists.

Where I come from in northern NSW, there were still bullock drivers on some properties and they would sound the whips to move the tired beasts at the end of the day. The sound went around the hills and you always new when to put dinner on because they were on their way home. 💕

Great background! Adam Belmont will slay the Vampire King!
Based on Adam's demonstration, it looks like if one is trying to emulate the 2D NES Simon Belmont whipping method, one should purchase a snake whip. A stock whip would better suit a CastleVania: Lords Of Shadow style whipping method. I noticed the animation from Super CastleVania 4 did a decent job of the Cattleman's Crack technique of whipping. Thanks very much Adam!

There is another type of stock whip some times used in horse training. A long, whippy (no pun) handle like the bullock (the length, I mean) with a fall and cracker. The fall comes in various lengths for the jobs and preferences. The handles can be as long as 12ft with the fall being up to 3 times the handle length. NOTE: When I say long and whippy, think how some riding crops are bendy and springy. These stock whips can often be curled back into loops, and then spring back into shape. Makes for fast cracks with minimal effort or expertise. It's kinda fun laying out cracks 40+ feet apart, but I've never found a practical use for the really long ones.

  • @goldenbergconstruction1656
