I would say focus on area of effect commanders Equipment wise, it wasn't a specific order but easier to get the chest and trousers because can get from spending 4.99 at the trading post from time to time. Also always use gems v to get materials from the mysterious merchant (not bone). Mainly iron from the blacksmith too :)
