Products Used:
Flood Floetrol Latex Based (found at most hardware stores in the paint section)
Dixie Belle Paints: affiliate links
Cotton (white)
Pacific (blue): bit.ly/2YPAnrP
Gold Digger (gold): bit.ly/2YPAnrP
Steel Magnolia: bit.ly/2YPAnrP

You don't have to use a bonding primer but it helps keep your paint from scratching for years to come.
Ornaments: You can do this on glass or plastic bulbs. I got mine at the Dollar Store. You can usually find them at any craft store as well.
This is an easy way to customize your holiday ornaments using your left over chalk mineral paints. Its fun, easy and inexpensive to do .

Those are just gorgeous. I've always thought this, paint pour, would be much more complicated, but I think my granddaughters and I will give it try! We try something new each Christmas 🎄 thanks for the video.
Seems like paint pour waste lot of paint...can I use the "stick thick" stuff inside the ornament so paint adheres better?
Out of all the videos on "how to" I love your explanation of acrylic pour ornaments! I was looking for something to do with my grandson for his teachers for Christmas and this is it! Thank you!!!
Your reuse of the poured paint is genius!! I did some poured ornaments and it uses a lot of paint. I used the poured paint to make more ornaments w/a stick but I love this no worry recycle idea much better.
Thank you for this tutorial. It was as wonderful and informative as your furniture painting videos! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. Greatly appreciated!
I love that blue color that you have with the gold and steel magnolia
Perfect and unique!! I will be making these this Christmas season! So interesting that you make jewelry with the skin of the paint! Looking forward to seeing more from you!
So 👍 great
Those are beautiful!❤️😊
Thank you Beverly
Beautiful ❤️
Love the video, great & short, cant wait to make my own ornaments 💕💕
I'm so happy you enjoyed it :) Thanks Maria
So beautiful. I ran across your channel and subscribed after watching. Thank you for sharing your lovely ideas with us. Many blessings!
Hi Amy,
The Christmas ornaments are beautiful and you make them yourself! As always you are so creative. Love seeing the projects you come up with. Many blessings and happiness, Teresa
Thank you Teresa
OMG!!’ So BEAUTIFUL!!!! And the paint skin idea is FANTASTIC!!! T Y for sharing this!!!
Awesome. I’ll have to do some
Awesome 😍😍😍😍
Love this
Thank you Kathy
They are gorgeous. Do you have to prime the ball before painting it.
I love it
Love the tutorials! Have you ever tried to do this with old glass or plastic ornaments? It would be a great way to recycle old ornaments that have chipped paint on them. I have TONS of them.
Hi Amy, this is beautiful ❣️ I have a question, I've Chalk painted Mason jars, 1st time, and have de-stressed them, not sure how to seal them against wear and tear 😔
That looks like so much fun! I loved the ornaments too. I've missed seeing you.
Thank you Judy
Cute
Where did you find the steel magnolia paint I love that color along with the Pacific Blue
Hi, I’m new to this but excited to try. What type of paints do you use? Acrylic or regular household paint. Many thanks
I love the dirty pore the best.
Are those 9 oz cups that you're using to mix the paints in
I've seen these FIFO bottles you mentioned in some of your other videos and I love the idea!! I assume they must seal well and keep your paint in good condition or you would not use them, but how well do they do with not leaking? I am horrid at pouring paints (and not making a mess or losing product), especially when mixing colors, and these looked like a dream solution. I was just curious on your overall experience with them before I buy and move some of my paint into them. Mad
With my dirty pours, I am having trouble with some of my colors, say I want it to be primarily red and blue, it turns purple. Any advice?
Can we use thinned out acrylic paint?
As far as putting glitter on, when would you suggest doing that after putting the first coat of sealer on it or would it be okay to put the glitter in the sealer that way you wouldn't have one Big blob of glitter, that's what I'm having a problem with
Very nice. 8/ 23
🧡🧡🧡
Can you just use the chalk paint by itself?
What is slickstick?
Where do you get dizzy bell paint?
Dixie Belle
Are these paints acrylic or chalk?
Acrylic I think. I am not aware of metallic gold chalk paint but I'm also no expert. 😀
What makes the paint last year’s?
Can you just use water to thin the paints? 14:36
What if we don’t have Slickstick? What else can we use?
You don't have to use bonding primer like Slick Stick, you will just need to be a little more gentle with them when you pack them up for next year.
What brand of paint?
You look like a young Sally Field.
hi, you keep saying gloss. Gloss what? gloss paint? gloss urethane? i don't understand .ty
A great presentation. Would like to see you look into the camera when addressing the subscribers.
Hi were have you been?
I've been swamped with my furniture business, so its been hard to squeeze in video editing time :) I'm going to try and set a side one day a week to getting all the editing done to upload more content regularly :)
@@AjsVintageDesigns love everything you do and you taught me how to sew....thanks for all your vids
These are so effective and gorgeous but it bothers me that you waste so much paint. Surely there must be a way you could “ collect” the run off paint to re pour it?
Sarah once the paint is dry,mit makes paint skins and can be used for jewelry and other paint skin crafts.
Beautiful but it looks like you are wasting a LOT of paint!
All the paint that rolls off the project, I let dry on the plastic and use them as paint skins to make jewelry and project. I have videos on using Paint Skins.
While I enjoyed watching the techniques etc., I had much difficulty keeping up with you because you are talking much to fast.
hello, because English is not my native language and sometimes (because of dialect) I have the same difficulty with others...
if you have patience you can change the time in the video, you will see what she is doing more slowly but also the speech is much slower
or you can open the subtitles and read what you don't understand by pausing the video so you don't miss the action
