    Acrylic pouring Medium: Fluid art
My home made pouring medium used for my usual work is a pre mix of 70% mont Marte clear craft glue and 30% warm water, if in the USA Elmer’s “glue all” works well.
I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed, not all paint brands go well with this pouring medium, so just test out.
paint brands mostly used are the Global impasto paints, Amsterdam paints, pebeo paints, also Mont marte studio acrylics, or pouring paints.
I Certainly explore different brands and mediums, it’s all part of the learning process.
Also iv started to add a tablespoon of floetrol to each paint cup and stir instead of silicone for cells.
Extra special cell and lace and bloom like creation is found with Amsterdam paints add Aussie floetrol until correct consistency required, then used in pour or used to swipe details, “Aussie slides” are easily created this method.
I’m not using silicone very often at all (2021)
If I add silicone this is what I do.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

I’ve just finished some baubles that split in two poured over them but am putting little pressies inside as table presents and they can keep the baubles for they’re tree next year.

I was pouring paints & micro-glitter into glass "globe ornaments" & swirling it all around the inside -- that was about 20yrs ago. Also used teeny-tiny, shiny star confetti (which showed up even better, but had to swirl it with glue/water mix & do it before paints). Those were my Christmas gifts that year for people. Glued the cap on & a tiny ribbon/bow around it cuz' cap kept coming off (paint/weight?). We have much prettier paints to use now & clear plastic ornaments aren't as heavy, or as fragile! LOL...husband made new rule after that, still stands) -- "No pixie dust/glitter in the house!" We were vacuuming that stuff out of our carpet for years to come! "Oops!"

My daughter and I made ornaments 14 years ago. We poured the paint inside of the glass baubles. They turned out beautiful! I bought more to do this year but I ran out of time.
I did try it with plastic this year, but the paint didn't adhere. It ended up looking like Mercury glass. I tried several times with the same plastic ornament but the paint wouldn't stick inside. I'll do the glass ones for next year.

I am going to paint pour the inside of plastic ornaments with multiple colors this year. I thought about paint pouring the outside of plastic ornaments, but it looks pretty messy and then very unlikely to allow Cricut custom vinyl to adhere to the outside. When paint pouring the inside, the mess will be contained and then I can adhere Cricut custom vinyl designs to the outside surface of the plastic ornament.
Last year I made Christmas ornaments for friends & family by coating glitter (use Minwax Polyacrylic to coat inside first) to the inside of plastic ornaments then used my Cricut to put custom vinyl name stickers on the outside. They were a hit! I have been paint pouring on canvases & clear glass vases for a couple years now.
I recommend setting your paint poured ornaments upside down in plastic cups or an egg carton to dry before putting the top back on each ornament. I typically allow 24 - 48 hours for each ornament to completely dry inside.

I tried pouring inside with ready to pour paint and when I went back to check them much of it had come off and I had big holes. Do you think it's because those paints are thinner and using a pouring medium with some glue in it would help it stick?

I've done painting the inside of christmas balls with different types of paints. No matter what it is, you have to turn the ball several times before it completely dries otherwise you're gonna get "windows there". Sometimes it takes a few days. Paint doesn't stick to the spheric surface easily.
Also using spray paint is a bad idea in my view for a number of readons: it's messy, it's hazardous, it's wasteful. I use cheap nail polish from dollar store, they have tons of shades and cheap and you have a better control over the entire process. Sorry but this project is not the best in my view.
