- Seongjin Cho plays F. Chopin Polonaise in A flat major Op.53 “Heroic” as the second and last encore at Carnegie Hall May 17th 2024
Once I recognized the piece I had to start recording! What a thrilling moment it was ^_^ Thank you Seong-jin for playing one of my favorite Chopin pieces as the last encore! I know you did it just for me ;)
A random youtuber just informed me that she/he reported me to Carnegie Hall and CZcams for uploading this encore. Since I found several privately recorded encore performances on CZcams, I thought Carnegie Hall allowed encores to be uploaded and shared, though they don't allow the main concert itself to be recorded. Perhaps it all depends on how many people complain about the uploaded video. I guess i will find out soon enough.
My channel isn't monetized and my intention was simply to share this special encore with those who love Seong-Jin who weren't able to attend the concert. I hope as many fans as possible enjoy this video before it is taken down, if indeed it will end up being taken down.
Thank you ^_^

lol theyve been shadowbanned xD
@@eugenewei5936 Frankly I found their self righteous Karen like diatribe quite annoying so I just deleted their comments. it wasn't enough that they reported the video but they tried to bully me into taking the video down. I thought recording encores were okay, so I'm waiting to hear from Carnegie Hall. So far there's been nothing.
@@animalsarebeautifulpeople3094 I'm sorry to hear that bro, I still think it is good to have Cho's live performances. Not a single mistake in that performance, just as epic as his Chopin Competition footages.
By the way, I saw the entire conversation between u and the Karen, I am sorry someone has put u through all that... I have watched your (this) video many times as I really like classical piano
Ohhhh, this talented musician and humble man!!
Thanks for sharing!
this recording sounds just like his interpretation from the chopin competitions, absolute perfection.
The Dante sonata was amazing!
THanks for sharing, I wanted to go but had to be away from NYC that day
I've been trying to find out how to get those seats but haven't been successful yet 😅😢
Respond very quickly to the last minute stage seat offerings approximately 1 week before event , sells out quickly
@@Lcpiano1224 Ah okay ~ thanks
TILL THE END OF TIME.❤🎉😊
🌻🌻🌻
thank you for sharing❤ don't take this down and keep it up please👍
❤❤❤❤
Such a great video - Thank you for sharing this video. Let us all see the young man perform and be reminded that he did not compose this music. I see some proclamations about what we can and cannot share in the comments below but such comments are from a shallow mind.
He didn't compose it but without great interpretive artists like him we would never hear how beautiful these pieces are 😊 Thank you for commenting 💚
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
What a performance. Do you know what the first encore was?
All I remember is that it was a short quiet and well known piece though I can't remember exactly which piece it was 😥- if I find out or remember what it was I will let you know ~☺ !!
Schuman 's Tra"umerai, I heard.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a wonderful evening and this encore made it perfect 💚⚘️😻
Cho
The problem is that, when you take videos of performances, the light is rudely distracting to others. I've been to three Carnegie Hall performances this spring, and the number of phones being used is truly awful.
I know what you mean - but I was seated up on the boxes where the intrusion is minimal and this was during the final encore not during the main concert.
It’s unfair..I only could seat second floor at the hall in Seoul and hardly see his appearance..only could listen the sound
😭😔
🤪
Nice performance, but sometimes i dont hear like real music there, something is lost
of course something is lost ~ lol... it's a fan recording of an encore, not a professional recording. But it does capture the excitement of a live performance which is what I wanted to share with the fans 😉
@@animalsarebeautifulpeople3094 i don't hear real music from him even in a professional recording, I prefer Horowitz (more mistakes but more music, here is all perfect but not music) it's a question of taste, if you prefer virtuosic or musical
@@santiagobalbi3798 Interesting. Personally I never found Horowitz that compelling -- interesting but way too dry for my taste. I actually learned to appreciate Horowitz more after listening to Yunchan Lim who not only takes the best qualities from Horowitz but adds the qualities that Horowitz lacks.
@@animalsarebeautifulpeople3094 Yes yunchan lim is the combination with cho and Horowitz but with his own personality
@@santiagobalbi3798 That's the most perfect description of Yunchan Lim's playing
