    I just received the ebay cf wrap.. Super nice compared to others I've see/used. Probably the most realistic so far. Waiting on my roof spoiler to arrive so I can't speak on difficulty to apply.

      @@malik5775 I finally used the wrap. FYI: The wrap is thick so manipulating the vinyl on tough areas may not hold. This product will work best on roof, hood,etc. Definitely not on mirrors.

    I think the eBay one looks the nicest and the most realistic to real carbon fiber.

      I used the ebay 5D on my Challenger, you can see the individual strands of fiber in the weave patter, very realistic looking. However not easy to use around corners due to the thickness

      Probably last a year or so based on my experience. The vvivid brand last over 4 years. I installed my vvivid vinyl on my hood 4 years ago still looks great. I do use Adam's Dry wash c3 infused with ceramic though.

      I had Vvivid True R on the hood of my car for about 2 years before pulling it off. Just did regular washing. No waxes or ceramic on the vinyl, just detail spray occasionally. Pulled off with zero issues! czcams.com/video/RrMw83CLaRE/video.html

    Hello Color Change Customs. I am only looking to use inside the car for the dash trim. Would the EBay brand be fine for interior ? Or is it more advantageous to use Vvivid ?

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  Před 3 lety

      Sorry for the late reply. Either one is fine for interior. However, I would definitely get Vvivid over a generic eBay vinyl, but that is just personal preference.

      Honestly, it's not that great. Looks good initially, but it shrank back and the laminate was separating from the vinyl.

      I like using the True R because it's not glossy. The glossy stuff attracts fingerprints, which annoys me on the interior LoL! Here's some pics of a car I did the interior trim with in True R: facebook.com/colorchangecustoms/posts/208430749808618

    One tip for this comparison. Dip the tiles in water for a couple minutes, you will see the ebay vinyl one will completely separate from the gloss or get water infiltration.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  Před 3 lety

      Of the vinyls compared in the video, Vvivid.
      That being said, all vinyl wrap is a PVC plastic, meaning if it is out in the sun all the time, they will all eventually dry out and break down, regardless of brand. Regardless of brand, if your car and vinyl is consistently outside in direct sunlight, I’d remove the wrap at the two year mark, maybe earlier if in an extremely hot area like Arizona or Texas. That’s just my opinion though.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  Před 3 lety

      Sorry for the late reply. No, I've not seen the True R with PPF over it. Not sure how the PPF would affect the "look" given the True R uses texture to achieve the unique look. Putting PPF over it adds a layer over the textured material, which might affect how it reflects light. Just guessing...

      I’m not sure as I didn’t apply it to anything else. And I already took it off the tiles. However the remaining eBay carbon fiber vinyl that I had from this comparison has shrunk back while still on the back and paper over one quarter inch
