- Part 2 of this short series using Carbon Fiber Vinyl to wrap various parts on my motorbike. In this video I tackle the front fender! Hope you enjoy it, and if you're thinking about giving it a go yourself, and are unsure, then leave your questions below. I taught myself how to do it, so more than likely I will have experienced any issues you maybe having.

Great work 🇬🇧
Great job on that honesty they can be complicated.
Makes a difference for sure. Not sure I should have a go, I have the patience of an angry wasp😡🐝
Yeah than give that a miss....wasps are right feckers!
Good job looks well👍👍👍👍
Cheers Aaron enjoyed that one
Nice job bud, I would have thrown in at the wall after 10 mins LOL 👍
Nice job fella, your getting the knack for it, I think you forgot to mention that if you have stretched it a little too much then applying heat and letting it cool down the vinyl will go shrink back as if by magic, this is because good vinyl has a memory!
Worth doing and although it can be a tad annoying sometimes it is very satisfying, nice one.
You n Andy love ya stickers n wrap lol. Looks good though 👍
There's much love for the sticker! Lol
Fantastic. Let me know where to send you my finder 😂
May have to look into this to smarten my f800s a little
Makes a big difference👍😜
Looks good that, tempted to do the same to my GSXR front guard
Give it a go! Worst case you'll just loose a bit of hair, or has yours already gone?😂
TheLikeableRider it's thinned but hanging on in there 😂
Then it's a "try at your own risk" from me lol
TheLikeableRider which type are you using? Looks Matt finish, but is it 3D or something else, there's a few to choose from
@@BiglumpADV Yeah it's the Matt finish, you can also get it in gloss
Looks tidy,i can see it takes time and a lot of patiance
Definitely melted a few hair dryers, and plenty of wrap
It's the vinyl countdown, do do do do
I'm here all week......(drums)!

Can I ask if this is a gloss or matt finish 3M wrap? TIA.
This is the Matt finish Alex👍😜
Hi mate , I've been doing little bits on my bike and they have turned out good to be honest ,so was thinking to do my front fender too , what I want to ask you is dose the quality of vinyl make a difference , I've been using just hyperlex from eBay a 3m cheap and cheerful .I was going to buy some Avery Dennison as I've been hearing good things about it . What do you think on this . I only got cheap stuff as i I know it's a difficult thing to get right but would like to try the more expensive stuff as it maybe might work better and be easier to apply . Cheers pal . great video .
Hi Dylan
Yeah you'll definitely notice the difference in application with more expensive brands. The stuff I used isn't the best and was more tricky
@@thelikeablerider8800cheers mate I think I'll take the plunge 😁
What makes it stick? thinking of having a go.
The vinyl itself is sticky
did you wrapped your windscreen also ??
I sprayed that with liquid vinyl on the inside
How did you finish the bolt holes?
I pressed the vinyl into the holes, then cut a slit and screwed the bolts back in👍
Tried it once, turned into a big disaster for me.
Burned the wrap and bought a rattle can. Having that said. heats off cause its a pain in the old neck and you did a great job 👍👍👍.
It takes some practise, i definitely did my fair share of melting stuff before cracking it lol.
@@thelikeablerider8800 that melting part 😂😂😂.
Blew the wife's hair dryer too before getting a heat gun! She subsequently now melts her hair with the heat gun!

Hi, may have a go at my front mudguard, was wondering what product you were using and if you really can remove the vinyl without damaging the original finish? Thanks
The vinyl is from 3M. Yes you can remove it without damaging, just heat it up and pull it off, and clean off any remaining glue with alcohol.
hi what website did you get vinyl from? thank you
I was given a big roll of it from a friend, but if your just trying a few bits on your bike, you can get it on Amazon or ebay.
@@thelikeablerider8800 thank you for your reply
omg two ads on the beginning.🤦🏽♂️
Fender? Fender! You Americans are all the same. Next thing you know old boy, you'll be referring to a skedule rather than a schedule! 😁 Looks good 👍.
Sometimes when I can't remember the word, I go all out american.
