Lost my uncle to covid during 2020 and its still the hardest lose and still talking about it is really hard I miss him so much. He was fucking hilarious he knew how to make people laugh and he happens to be the first family member to help take care of me when I was a baby/toddler. Man so many good memories yet things are changing so fast…

Yo, I miss her. Where was she at?
My exes brother used to prank me like this all the time. I was cooking once in the kitchen which was attached to the dining room by two separate entrances. On of them was by a back stairwell as well.
So I was cooking and playing up some of the food, I go out something on the table at this point most of the food was out in the dining room. I had in my head I had one more thing to plate up still on the stove. Well I come back into the kitchen and I see no pot of food on the stove. I thought oh did I plate it already. So I go back into the dining room and it’s not out there. Then I start to think did I move it off the stove while I was plating other stuff. This goes on for a few minutes. Im asking my ex and her family if they saw the food. And no one knew what I was talking about. I’m like omg I’m going crazy because where is the pot. I check the oven, and fridge and anywhere even a cabinet just incase I was on something. Then in comes my ex’s brother cracking up holding the pot. I’m laugh so hard at this point because I knew I wasn’t losing my mind. Then I laugh even more when he admits he came up with the prank at the last minute. Meaning took the hot pot from the stove so he didn’t get any oven mitts. This dude just held a hot pot for a few minutes, at-least 3 or 4, while in pain trying not to laugh.
For context I love to cook so once or twice a month I’d usually cook a big meal for my ex’s whole family on a Friday or Saturday.
This anecdote reminded me of this quote...

I’m glad she left. They way she speaks is so underwhelming. She can be telling the most interesting story and sound exactly how she always sounds. IMHO.
