No more Street Tracks please.
You also put in two segments of stock footage of New York City.
@@TangoNevada Have to agree, flat as a pancake. Not going to bother watching this race, not to my taste at all.
I cant tell which way there going . Either clockwise or counter
@@Shorts3J21 From the start of FP1 and the Camera angle I was convinced it was Clockwise. It turns out it was just because of the camera angle and the entire first part of the track is clockwise.
1:25 - "Which is a few miles north of Downtown Miami" - Shows New York City. Technically, that is true, Manhattan is a few miles north of downtown Miami, but not Miami Gardens.
Doesn't look too bad but please don't call it a street circuit when it has been designed as a racetrack. It has a purpose laid surface and good run off to the barriers. Monaco, Baku and Singapore are street circuits. This is more like Abu Dhabi.
it is a street circuit, just in the category of Melbourne, not Monaco
@@piermariobarozzi Are non-permanent circuits classed as street circuits?
It's like Albert Park or even that oval track that used to be at Disney World. So a permanent racing surface with temporary infrastructure. F1 has experimented with these kinds of circuits lately, with mixed success.
Once the F1 guys leave, the course will be there, but all the grandstands will be taken down.
I'd say more similar to Sochi than Abu Dhabi
It is literally a street circuit
don't forget that it's wet in miami this time of year. forecasts for a decent chance of rain on Friday and Sunday. when it rains there, it pours
The ticket prices to watch this race are absolutely insane..
Yea, tell me about it. I was going to take my son. 😳😳🥺
Isn’t the lap counterclockwise not clockwise ?
FIA clocks run in reverse
I wish they reintroduced Long Beach. That is a real street circuit, and a fantastic one. A classic.
Agree with you on that one! 👍
But with so much drama in the LBC it's kinda hard being Snoop D O double G
California isn't business friendly.
Stop talking dirty to me !!! That would be my dream!!! Lbc is like home to me.
..and bring back Watkins Glen too. It was a ripper circuit!
I'm definitely going to approach this race with the attitude of 'Don't knock it until you've tried it.' And I think everyone else should as well. Same goes for Vegas next year.
Based on how the season is going, drs is the only hope
0:34 Whoah those elevation changes were crazy!
Alot of footage of downtown Manhattan when talking about Miami lol
Haha wow I messed up on that one lol... it's been a long week 😅 The stock footage was all in one video and I didn't even recognize it was NY!!
Looks like a fun circuit and Im sure it would be a blast to attend in person. Im really looking forward to watching it. Great job F1 👍
Excellent presentation! Looks exciting. Thank you!
Not sure what on track will be like, but I think it’s a great area and atmosphere for a race. Gives me big Indy car street track vibes
1:26 Wow, Miami sure looks a lot like lower manhattan to me…🤣
Yes, somehow my office on Wall St has magically become a Miami address
1:07 is Freedom tower.
All the footage of downtown Miami you can find an he uses footage of New York🤦🏾♂️
Saw the same thing. I come to the comments looking for this, thanks.
I'm thinking it's gonna be mildly similar to the Nashville grand prix of Indycar, there might be some hiccups with the track design that only they can learn after hosting a race at the venue
Yeah interesting comparison there to Nashville. This Miami track went through multiple designs before settling on this one so I would'nt be surprised if they altered it for 2023, depending on the quality of racing.
@@BMF1Show New track at Jeddah had quite a few hiccups that had to be dealt with for the 2022 race.
If this is like Nashville, bring a blanket and a pillow for the snoozefest.
Hi, many thanks for great intro into the Miami circuit. Cheers from Australia.
Glad you liked it! Thanks.
Thanks for the video. Interesting information. I'll be there next week, sitting by turn 18!
This is going to be a fun race
Nice vid. This is looking like a Red Bull-Honda dream circuit but... Forza Ferrari! 😁
Thanks!
Can’t wait to see what the new Ferrari engine upgrade will bring. I’m not sure who will be faster this weekend
I enjoyed your presentation. Thank you.
Hoping for a competitive and interesting race next weekend 👍
Thank you! Yeah I'm hoping we'll get a good race for the first one in Miami.
Some serious vibes of Abu Dhabi, with a little bit of Singapore mixed in. Just my honest opinion. Hopefully the race is actually a good if not great race
seems like a very intense track, changes of rhythm, blind turns
Thank you BackMarkers F1 Show! Good stuff!
You're welcome and thank you for watching!
3:26 i will be in those stands on the right for Saturday but i am going to a watch party for the actual race
I don't understand why to create new circuits in the United States when there are already some permanent circuits where it would be nice to see F1 racing
It's all about money :-)
@@maartennijland8429 Well,i figured it was for that 😄
A lot of those circuits are FIA Grade 2 tracks, meaning F1 won’t race on those courses without a complete overhaul. The only other FIA Grade 1 track in the United States is Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and they certainly don’t want to use that circuit again after what happened during the 2005 United States Grand Prix.
@@kenmograd2009 Ya well F1 should run their own show...tell the FIA to piss off. The FIA is just a parasite organization anyway.
@@kenmograd2009 Right,ok..but in an alternate reality, seeing a Grand Prix at Laguna Seca or Road America would be great 😉
i wish it was through downtown but im glad it is coming to the US none the less
"a few miles north of Miami"
More like a 20-30 minute drive from Miami.
that's a few miles in Florida traffic
Looks promising can’t wait
MIAMI will be a huge spectacle! Whether Texas or Miami in the past, American Formula 1 races were always worth a trip! Greetings from Austria!
Can't wait, I'll be there!
Gonna be an exiting weekend
In terms of driving and hotlaps i absolutely love tracks like jeddah, and miami, auztria and brazil because the technical sections are fast and they dont ruin the flow of the track (unlike abu dhabi or spain) and you can really just throw the car into the corners ans trust it to not spin. The feeling of going through the corners at that speed and bding glued down while not oversteering is the best (even though its just a video game)
Its way more fun that finessing the throttle to keep the car from doing a 180° (monaco)
ANd thats also why i run maximum downforce in assetto corsa hotlaps just because it feels so fun to take those corners
I know why you drive it with max downlforce, for fun. But it is a slow approach to the circuit for sure.
It runs counterclockwise.
I do think of what it would have been like to have the F1 race in downtown Miami, the stadium is kind of out of the way from Miami itself but I think it would be a good race.
Wow right across the street from my childhood home...Carol City !!!
A 1st class looking track & ammenties. Makes for a great fun atmosphere. I hope there's plenty of overtaking with all the cars. The straight 16 to 17 should provide that. By the way, the direction is anti-clockwise.🔄
That's counter-clockwise. There's no such thing as anti- clockwise.
In America it is counter clockwise
@@chrisdenman1985 In Europe they use that term.
I really thought it was gonna be down the streets of Miami like Monaco. Sad
Street track design with a permanent feel. Sounds awesome.
Because its not a street track.
I, personally love the circuit. It reminds me of Jeddah, which is probably my favorite track with some of the higher-speed sections. I like those fast street circuits like Jeddah because you are just always on the absolute limit and perfect laps are the most satisfying thing. I don't like the slow parts of this track (11-16 I believe) but I also love how the track goes under all of those exit ramps through there
Yeah I don't get why jeddah gets so much hate. It's like one of the best circuits out there for racing. People say safety's an issue but we saw micks crash last year. No harm was done to him. And these new generation cars are extremely safe as well.
Anyways let's hope miami doesn't dissappoint.
Many people are close minded. Let's put aside the political matters for a second.
Jeddah is a crazy track, which promotes good racing. Maybe it's a bit too dangerous, but that's another thing
Baku also has amazing racing too. Street circuits I’ll admit scare me with the barriers. But we’ve come a long way. Thank god halo was implemented
@@syedshayanrecitations6790 3 - 4 red flags each race thats the problem
Thinking the same way, the noise under those ramps will be wonderful. Nothing like F1 music.
Used to be that FIA required a test race at a new circuit. F5000 at Long Beach, go-karts at Las Vegas, Police pursuits at Detroit.
It's a very nice circuit.i think F1 drivers will have a blast.iam so excited to see the next race on this track👍
I drove that circuit years ago, of course back then they called it a parking lot and it cost $20.
The only waterfront sections are probably man made retention ponds, the new Monaco indeed.
You got it. What bullshit this is. Autocross at best
$730 for sat and Sunday is a little too steep. I'll watch it at home like all the others.
It's a joke. Typical South Florida.
That was some nice driving..
That driving was courtesy of SuzQ's channel! They've got awesome F1 gaming videos here...czcams.com/users/SuzQjp
Will be fun. But US doesn’t have that Europe F1 feel. Hopefully Vegas will!!
why does Vegas have a European feel?
@@JonathanWaterbury only real US street race track. So may be having that feel. But it can’t be Monaco ever.
Nice. It’s going to be televised on ABC too here in the states
Good one Herman
So happy f1 coming to the USA 🇺🇸
It will be Interesting, might be a mixed up grid see who adapts best , and I'm sure they'll be a few prangs
I am a Miami local, and I remember all the fuss the nearby residents gave about hosting a a gp, citing "traffic and loud race cars would be annoying" but no one says anything when the horrible losing team the Dolphins are play on weekend (causing traffic jams every weekend) Now as the track goes, It certainly isn't a street circuit as it was built as a racetrack. Though I see where there is one or 2 parts of the track that will intersect a street leading towards the stadium, but not a street circuit like Monaco or Australia.
Anti-clockwise not clockwise?
Yes
Counter clockwise..
Looks like a lot of passing opportunities with the straights and hard turns.
The track looks quite nice.
LITERALLY THE GREATEST FUCKING TRACK EVER LETS FUCKING GO MIAMI
My first impressions of the track were that it seems as though it is nothing but lefts, rights, and little straights to get a little speed up. Of course, there is no elevation changes, but the race and atmosphere in Miami will be like no other on the F1 calendar this year. The drivers and teams love America, and Miami will be exotic, to say the least. Fingers crossed that Miami will be on the calendar for many years to come.
third DRS zone would be interesting, might end up like Baku
(Angry Verstappen noises)
Been looking forward to this venue all year long as a former NASCAR fan, go F1.
I think it's a good mix of all types of corners...it will be better than most our current tracks
Cool. I hope this works out.
Was not a fan of this circuit before, but it looks f*cking awesome!
11-15 look like a handful. But looks awesome all the same . Bring it on.
It will be a great race down in Miami
T14-15 chicane looks very clumsy. That'll need reconfiguring for subsequent races - shades of Abu Dhabi.
i think you said it was clockwise but your car simulation appeared anti - clockwise
Amateur Channel mate , better off elsewhere
that straight is gonna break backs with all the porpoising. Wouldn't be surprised if we see lifting or limiting.
awesome
Seems like if someone loses control on turn 5 they will smash headfirst into a barrier thats relatively close?
Looks like the sim lap was running counter clockwise but you state f1 will be running clockwise correct?
It kind of reminds me of Jeddah. Anti-clockwise as well. The track looks skinny in some areas so I wonder how that will affect overtaking.
What a Fantastic Go Cart track
to the public on a daily basis
Money Machine $$
I’m in
How you kept showing Manhattan when talking about downtown Miami?
Great track design. I suspect that finding grip will be challenging until the cars lay down enuf rubber.. after a couple hundred laps.
finally I hope they keep f1 racing in the states
Looks interesting but I don't think it will have many overtaking opportunities. I expect at least a couple safety cars in the first race as I'm sure someone will hit a wall.
Why is there footage of Lower Manhattan being shown early in the video when you're talking about downtown Miami?
Track looks good. T14-T16 are a bit odd though.
Seems like a fun track to drive, fairly technical. My issue is as always with overtake opportunities, and this looks like the typical "drs or nothing" kind of track.
The only real chance is T17, but with such a long straight the overtake would probably be done way before the braking point.
T1 has too short of a run to get past, then nothing possible until T11 (except another drs overtake in that infinite "straight"), but still T11 is a sharp left immediately followed by a long right, nothing there too. And we are back at T17.
We will see how good it is in a few days. I will be working at turn 18.
Really?? Cool ¡¡ Good luck and enjoy
Tried looking into buying tickets: my computer laughed at me and shut down.
🤣 That expensive eh?
Volunteer at the race. Yeah sure you'll pick up trash. What are they going to do, fire you if you just stand there and watch?
Wish they would've held it in downtown like Indy did back in the 90's
I think F1 is the best motorsport, I think US viewership has really expanded and continues to have races here.
Appears to go anti-clockwise @4:40 *
This looks like an awesome circuit! Max all the way!
Sector 3 is going to be a lot of fun. A heavy braking zone into a hairpin, and a couple of esses to keep a battle going. I don't know about Sectors 1+2, especially those esses into a Turkey Turn 8.
Is no one going to mention the two aerial shots of downtown Manhattan that were thrown in there? I was waiting for a close up of the Statue of Liberty while he talked about Miami.
1:07 ... looks like Manhattan to me 🤔😉
Bit worried. Looks quite stale and there isn't really anything special about the location. That long straight is going to be interesting with DRS and porpoising. If it makes good racing, all good, but if it's boring, then it's a boring race in a car park around a stadium on the outskirts of town in the middle of the suburbs.
Saying that, I'd be thrilled to have a house in walking/hearing distance of an F1 race!
Exactly how I feel. I'd definitely like to see what it's like, but right now, not a huge fan.
On that straight the Mercedes are going to take off and land somewhere in the sea with all the porpoising
You're worried that a race in which you're not even going to participate might be boring? Man, I'd love to have your problems - hahaha!!
@@nwinburn I mean from a viewers perspective yeah. If the drivers like it then yeah I'm all for it. But if it's boring for us, it's boring for us.
@@nwinburn Do you think they broadcast the F1 just for the drivers?
English translation: all new venue= car park, street circuit= car park, brand new circuit, unique area = car park, many complications = not Nas car, brand new circuit= very old car park, football league = American football league, street circuit = car park.
As a new American F1 fan, I didn't realize how ridiculous ticket prices are for F1 races. Nah man I'm good. I'll just pay the $80 a year to be able to see the whole race track
It's the biggest negative of being an F1 fan. I'm seeing a ton of these comments... how much are tickets going for out of curiosity?
@@BMF1Show The cheapest I've seen for Miami GP starts at $745 USD per ticket. I looked at Circuit of the America's a couple weeks ago and it was even more expensive. I know Nascar is a totally different racing style and culture but I just went to Talledega Superspeedway and for $235 per person, you get really good seats and garage access
That's crazy. If I remember correctly, that's way more than Montreal tickets. And yeah Nascar is far more fan friendly, I used to go to IndyCar in Toronto and is wayy cheaper.
@@BMF1Show I even got to meet Donnie Allison and Dale Earnhardt Jr last weekend at Talledega. I'm also a new IndyCar fan and I'd love to go to a race. They are more expensive than Nascar but not near as much as F1. My boy is Jimmie Johnson
Is ok. Sergio Pérez arrived yesterday. You're good to go!
why are the so many shots of NYC when you are talking about downtown Miami?
I envision a lot of yellow and red flags. The straights don't seem to be passing areas - you'd think they are but preceded by and followed by sharp approaches and exits.
I would of LOVED to attend IN PERSON, but $1800 to $2300 for one ticket. NO WAY!
Gonna have the Miami dolphins on the track with all porpoise effect. Gonna be great they say.
Idk, I like it. And quite excited for the race
the track looks like there will not be much passing
Bittersweet getting 3 F1 races in the U.S. but having to use these cheesy entertainment venues, rather than some of the greatest tracks in the world.
It’s a business. It always has been. Monaco created that
They are going for that Laughcar audience, hence the want for dumb down circuit.
@@THEBANDIT7979 Monaco is romance. Not business
China, Arab GP's are business. So is this....
@@thefourfourfour9512 That’s naive
