Interesting to note. Cheetor was the first other to visit Tarantulas's base, albeit involuntarily. He's also the last visitor.
He was the first one on the show to witness his creepiness. And the last to witness his demise.
Tarantulas died right in front of Cheetor.

@TheJboy88 based on what notes I have gathered, the Vok put the Energon and all those devices on Earth to test it's dominant lifeform(humans) to see if they are worthy of that technology.
I like this episode.
But I must confess I'm somewhat disappointed with the resolution of the alien storyline.
These guys have been built up throughout the series and at the end they get little to no resolution regarding their motives, what they were using Earth for, why they put all these strange devices all over the place.
They didn't even get a dialogue scene with the Maximals, despite their being involved in every one of their appearances.
Just a big letdown.
I know one of the writers working for 3H said they were descendants of the swarm from the G2 comics, repentant for killing alot of the humans. But it's never been confirmed anywhere else

I assumed they were descendants of unicron because it would make sense beings of unicron would be assumed to be decepticons and megatron in the series after this episode refers to tarantulas as a spawn of unicron. that could be just an insult but its the only clue we got. Im with u they shouldn't have killed him off this way and expanded the arc on him and the tripledacus council and vok

Technically they were gay. In the translation to English air razor was made female. Originally air razor was a younger male bot.
for the english side anyway, i would assume the combination of the two would make hims male, but has more feminine traits and acts girly bc of how air razor was.
