    I ordered both Haylou BC01 (90 $) and Shokz Openrun (140$) to compare them, because as many of you I have doubts between the two after so many positive reviews... To sum it up Openrun are better in sound, it's crispier, not that grainy, just clearer and they have more bass (yea, even though bone conduction and bass...). Haylou seem to be more distant and not that clear overall. The sound is just cheaper in the Haylou. I must mention, that the max volume is higher in Shokz as well - it can be important in windy conditions and in louder enviroments. To be honest - for most of people the difference may not be that excessive to paid for Shokz that much extra cash, but for me it's enough noticeable. Sound quality is better for me and they have more max volume. The same said my room mate after trying both of them. Another thing is comfort - Openrun are better for me. They are not THAT smaller and THAT thinner at first glance, but again maybe these small differences are enough in my case. Openrun are comfier, I can't feel any excessive pressure of them on my head and around my ears. With Haylou I feel more pressure, they pinch me a little around the ears, which can be a dealbreaker when cycling whole day. I didn't compare other things like battery life, phone calls etc. further, because it was enough for me to make the decision and send the Haylou back, even though they are much cheaper. Probably Haylou could be a better choice for a 1 hour run, but not for a constant 5-8 hours use.

      Hi, I agree... I didn't even follow trough with a long term comfort comparison of the Haylou. I think they fit just a wee bit bigger. I was surprised that the Shokz mini size fits and makes a huge difference with headrests... You CAN get better sound than Shokz for even less $$ than the Haylou. My unbranded G7 fits my head even better than the Run/Pro. and I bought a small carton for resale..., Stay sharp CHCH

    I’m glad you’re feeling better. Man these look amazing. I love bass and I’m very biased to this feature. However, I do love a clear sound signature and I have been favoring better sound lately. Great review friend.

    Another great review. I've been using the Aeropex for a year and love them; I only wear in-ear buds in the gym now. The sound differences seem like the difference between the Openrun (or old Aeropex) and the Openrun Pro; I'm amazed Haylou have been allowed to make a copycat design though. Given the additional IP rating, and price difference; the BC01 seem an obvious choice now. Over to you Shokz.

    Great video! Haylou's products are good. I just heard that it is a sub brand of Xiaomi. The Wissonly Hi Runner headphone I am currently using is very similar to BC1 in terms of design, functionality, and appearance. It's just a bit cheaper than BC1, I guess it may also be a sub brand of Xiaomi.

    I wonder why bone conduction headphones don't have USB-C. A difficultly in implementation because of their design? 🤔 In any case, thank you for another outstanding review and comparison, Andy! 👍

    How is sound volume compared to the shockz and naenka headphones when running in wind or when there's a lot of traffic? Are these ones louder?

    • @AndysTechTone
      @AndysTechTone  Před 2 lety +1

      I wouldn’t say these are much louder if louder at all but you can definitely hear more detail at the same volume level

    Nothing against you, great review but to me this product looks like they used the photocopier and made 99% replica of Shokz, down to the proprietary charging connector. The Shokz will detect moisture and refuse to charge when magnetic connector is attached to openrun or openrun pro
