  • HAYLOU PurFree BC01 bone conduction sports headphones review. We've recently reviewed a few pairs of bone conduction headphones on the channel and been pretty impressed with the performance, especially the Shokz Open Run Pro model but they were quite expensive! So when we were contacted by HAYLOU and asked if we'd like to try out their new HAYLOU PurFree BC01 bone conduction unit we were intrigued. Especially when we saw they look very similar in design to the Shokz headphones and they have a lot of the same features but they retail for a much more affordable price. If you're in the market for a pair of sports headphones then this review is a must watch!
Really hope you enjoy the video, thanks for watching, we'll see you in the next video and as always - stay safe and keep on running!

Nice review. I ordered both Haylou BC01 (90 $) and Shokz Openrun (140$) to compare them, because as many of you I have doubts between the two after so many positive reviews... To sum it up Openrun are better in sound, it's crispier, not that grainy, just clearer and they have more bass (yea, even though bone conduction and bass...). Haylou seem to be more distant and not that clear overall. The sound is just cheaper in the Haylou. I must mention, that the max volume is higher in Shokz as well - it can be important in windy conditions and in louder enviroments. To be honest - for most of people the difference may not be that excessive to paid for Shokz that much extra cash, but for me it's enough noticeable. Sound quality is better for me and they have more max volume. The same said my room mate after trying both of them. Another thing is comfort - Openrun are better for me. They are not THAT smaller and THAT thinner at first glance, but again maybe these small differences are enough in my case. Openrun are comfier, I can't feel any excessive pressure of them on my head and around my ears. With Haylou I feel more pressure, they pinch me a little around the ears, which can be a dealbreaker when cycling whole day. I didn't compare other things like battery life, phone calls etc. further, because it was enough for me to make the decision and send the Haylou back, even though they are much cheaper. Probably Haylou could be a better choice for a 1 hour run, but not for a constant 5-8 hours use.

Great review video. It looks like Haylou BC1 is a good product! A few months ago, I considered it. Later, I chose Wissonly Hi Runner, partly because Hi Runner is cheaper and partly because it has more features. For example, the IPX8 waterproof and MP3 mode provide it with more usage scenarios, such as running, swimming, boating, cycling, fitness, etc. Fortunately, it has worked very well so far.

I think on an ultra, if I did wear headphones I’d be more likely to weave wired ones. Imagine anting some tunes 16hrs in and your phones have no charge!

Just to confirm after checking the Amazon page, there's no rewind/fast forward controls on the device itself right? Not sure if such a feature currently exists on any bone conduction headphone for swimming (and running).

Like the regular OpenRun, slightly cheaper. Not a bad thing, really. 90 euros, can be found fo 80 euros, versus 110 euros. Dunno about sound quality of either, I've bought some OpenRun for my brother, went with tried and tested for a first experience, but will consider the Haylou for myself if it pans out.
