- My Link Screen on my 2015 Camaro went completely black on dayand the screen worked, i just couldnt see anything. Here are the steps on how i fixed it. Thank you for watching and I hope we were able to help you solve your problem.

I have a 2017 and this happened. Besides the battery being in a different area, this worked for my problem and it’s been working fine. I had read on a blog where someone had plugged a cellphone into the port that’s in the console and the device had needed to be updated. The person that posted it claimed that the message that displayed on the screen was because of this. I’m not sure how true this is but at least I’m my case, disconnecting the negative cable worked fine but I am going to look into if the system needs to be updated by a dealer or another way.

What if your screen is completely dead and not operational? And your info center on your speedo says audio off

Hmm if you already tried this and did not help at all, thats an indicator that something has actually gone bad and is not generally a glitch. May be the stereo that has something burned up, a bad connection, a shorted wire behind the stereo. Any of these can cause that...im sorry I dont ha e a more clear answer and sorry for the late response

Eddie it worked the stereo by following your steps of what to do about the radio not showing display light 💡 by disconnecting my battery ground pole. After waiting for a minute with the ground pole disconnected I connected it back and I turn in my ignition of my 2014 SS camero the radio display came on normal. I have a 2015 impala, I literally just tried this and it didn’t work. Any idea what else o could do? My radio and screen went out at the same time, I changed the fuses, however only the radio started working, but the screen is still out. Any advice is helpful. Thanks
One possible and very simple solution for you that actually worked for my 6th gen 2016 Camaro SS! NO NEED to disconnect the battery cable(s)!
Problem:
The display/screen suddenly gone dark, but the touch screen function was still working. Couldn't really see what I was "touching" 🤣on the screen though. And also the stream from my "Reverse Camera" was not shown on the display. Camera was fine though.
Solution:
Kill the power to your car by pushing the "Start Engine" button. Open your trunk and lift the felt mat to locate the black fuse box on your right side. Remove the top lid/cover from the fuse box and then pull out the F16 "Display" fuse only. Check if it's broken. If not just wait at least 10 seconds before you put it back from where you pulled it out. Locate the F16 fuse by simply read inside the lid/cover from the fuse box.
I wasn't expecting it to work but... "YES!" it did. "Phew!" I couldn't believe it was that simple.

I did this and all the other recommendations that I found and nothing, still with black, like off screen and ac bottom controls not responding since 3 months ago.
what if the screen is black but nothing works? and the alerts don't ring when you start it either
@@pinknosebleed9932 I would check the fuses. You must have blown a courtesy light fuse or something
Mine lights up but does not show anything. Kind of like it is glitching. I tried disconnecting the battery and checked the fuses but still not working. Any suggestions?
try once again disconnecting the battery but this time while its disconnected, apply the brake pedal so that the system completely dries out of energy and then connect the battery again. if its still the same, something is actually wrong with the infotainment center that a reset cannot fix. If you are a DiY type of person, i suggest buying another stereo from another used car at a used auto parts and replacing it (the screen/infotainment center). if you like you can also check the price at the dealership but i have a feeling it will be an outrageous price so thats why i recommended a used auto parts that generally gives warranty or exchange within a few days if it doesnt work. But its up to you. Wish i had better news. but yes give that a try first.

@@gabbymartinez1947 as in you now have the symbol on your dash for Tire Pressure monitoring System? If so, you can go to a local Discount tire and they generally do a quick relearn for free.
My 2017 Buick encore screen doing the same it connects to the Bluetooth on my phone but screen is black

I wish I could find a video that could help fix mine. The screen is black speakers don't work and the backup camera doesn't work. Iv tried everything to get it to work.
You also tried this??? If so, have you checked the radio fuse to see if its not burned out?
I have a 2014 RS, im having the same issue! Radio is working but showing a black screen but not functional at all
You should try this. Its a free thing that you can do and only takes a few minutes. I would give it a shot. It works for most people

My screen has no display it’s just black but when I put it on reverse I can see the reverse camera checked the fuse and they are good and the dash says audio off
Somehow it has shut your audio off. Do this disconnect of the battery so it can hopefully return back to factory defaults.

I had this problem with the screen turning black. I disconnected the battery for an hour. Screen came back on. But the issue is the radio won’t turn off even with the car shut off. So it keeps killing my battery
Oh man, since you have a draw, it would then need to be inspected to see what is still keeping the radio powered up....wish I had a better answer for you...
Did this, it worked, then next day it was blank again. No sound, nothing.

You may have blown the radio fuse and HVAC fuse. If you recently jump started your car or gave it a boost, you can overload the system causing that. I hope its just fuses. Best of luck sir.

if there is zero activity with your screen, and the stereo is completely off, you may have a blown fuse. check the Radio Fuse. I can't recall exactly which one of the 2 locations the radio fuse is located at but one is on the driver side between the door and the dashboard. there is a little cover there that needs to be pulled off, and another fuse panel located in the trunk on the passenger side which requires you to pull the side carpet off insde the trunk area. if anything do some google searches as for the fuse box locations for the camaro so that way you are able to see pictures of the locations
Same issue 2015.. my fan is also stuck on. Pulled the fuse in the trunk but It didn’t work. I will try side panel fuse box tomorrow

No fuse blown, checked all of them even with multimeter, did all the other recommendations like battery terminal off etc but nothing. Black screen but radio volume only controllable by the steering wheel, ac controls not responding, car gets to cold, touching the screen nothing changes @@EddiesCustomsandRestorations
