Hopefully these bikes aren’t built with too much ‘plastic crap’ that goes wrong - and where WILL Scotty plug in his scanning tools???
I bet battery on this is crap. As on pretty much any ebike.
@@matoatlantis I rented a couple for the wife and I in Greece....45mph top speed....80 mile range. I was told they were $1700 USD new.
The newer Li-Po batteries are a game changer for e-bikes/e-motorcycles.
my himiway broke down within 90 days of purchase and they still will not fix it even though its under warranty and that was 2 years ago.
I want an e-bike that I can connect a phone or similar commodity device so it won't draw as much attention to the fact that its an e-bike. Take the phone with me. I like the Bafang conversion kits, the quality and support isn't as good as Bosch and other high quality serviceable brands, but the price is right for me. E bikes draw attention of thieves and vandals and many destinations don't have bike racks. The Fahgettaboudit bike lock weighs 16 pounds, but it can prevent a bike theft - a cordless tool can cut that quickly too. Bring back horse thief and bike thief hanging laws.

Never in a million years did I think I'd see Scotty on an e-bike......EPIC!
I just bought an e bike. My hope is that there will be zero regulations on these. Get to where you are going, no gas. No insurance. No registration fees. This is a great idea, until scumbags in government regulate it.
No follow laws stand up and resist in numbers
TRUTH! 💣💣💥 I built several HUMAN POWERED TRIKES specifically so "GOVERNMENT" can't tell me I need a license! I can generate well over 1,942 HORSEPOWER using flywheels. Gasoline automobiles are a SCAM! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A lawyer friend told me the future will be interesting regarding ebikes. Bike paths and trails are usually multi-use, walkers, joggers, pets, kids, etc. Most serious riders who go 20+ stay off busy trails. With ebikes, anyone can go 20+, some even 30. What will a lawsuit look like when a 10 year old going 30 on an ebike hits/kills/seriously injures a family of 4 walking their ferret?
@@matthewpedersen5125 They are already regulating rail trails now because of teens cruising at top speed on them. Mostly the bikes with a throttle, not pedal assist.
If they pass laws like that and you comply and register and pay for permit for a bicycle that's on YOU

@@henrymallett6847 its an adjuster for the fork it has nothing to do with the brakes.
Abs .. that's simply to control the front suspension ..... example if it's off and you go on the brakes hard the shocks will give/move, if it's on (on) it'll lock the suspension so it won't move if you go hard on the brakes ....
@@lawaynehelmuth6126 again nothing to do with brakes, on a bike the suspension is for bumps, you should have correct positioning when you ride and not be leaning forward when using the front brakes, or else with the shocks dropping you might risk going otb
My 150cc scooter has ABS. it only releases some of the pressure from the brakes to try to prevent lockup for example on wet roads. But it'll still lockup if pushed hard enough.

So, as with your recent electric car video, when the battery eventually fails you won't be able to find a replacement, not only because the lithium based batteries are in short supply, but because "customer support" from the vast majority of Chinese companies is non-existent?
i mean sure ... in 8 years when the battery is depleted to around 85 - 70% of it's capacity .. i think you made your money's worth compared to something like taking an uber in the big cities around the world. plus .. because batteries are in short supply, it can always keep a resedual amount because they started recycling those batteries now. it seems to me like a good deal right? especially in high density big cities. what do you think?

Saving gas wasn't my original intent. Charge mine with solar panels. Commute is free. On high traffic days I save about a gallon of gas. Travel time is more predictable. Traffic accidents, construction & whatever else doesn't effect the bike lane, side streets & trails. Would recommend. Averaged 80 miles/wk last summer into fall. Running it less this year, but still enjoy it. Was taking it to the grocery store once in a while when only needed a few things.
